My dad has had a similar one of these but in black with red accents for 11 years. It's had a fair few battery replacements, 6 or 7 im not sure. But it is still working fine. It has knocks and scratches and the only point of failure i would say was the "N" indicator pip on the bezel had lifted off on the one side, which was stuck back down with clear jewellery glue. Overall, he claims it to be a reliable watch and i would be inclined to agree.
I think my only concern is everybody said it’s a digital compass but I left it in front of my monitor and it screwed up polarisation. On the Timex website it says it’s a traditional analog compass. So best to keep it away from magnet and electrical fields.
