"So Sorry I said" is an original Pet Shop Boy lyric. As Liza heself said, it sounds like a woman hardened by a dysfunctional relationship from hcih she couldn't escape. Somewhat autobiographical. Neil and Chris wrote this with Liza in mind and it's now a timeless classic!
I was very interested in hearing and listening to this because of Liza's association with Gene Simmons of KISS,who was her music manager for a time in the late "80s. This sounds very good! It reminds me of when Shirley Bassey recorded two versions of "Moonraker" a pop/jazz version and a disco version which appears at the end of the film.
GREAT ALTERNATIVE VERSION OF LOSING MY MIND Very appropriate song for thw times us victims of lockdown arecsuffwring or did it really exists Who knows Who really cares Lets get out and see the world now
wow the only live performance I have seen but its amazing. You can tell its live because the ending whispered bits are shorter and also when she claps its faintly audible down the mic. Other than that its an exact replica of what you'd expect of a live performance and its virtually imposible to spot this is live compared with all the other lip synced performances she did.
Here's to Stephen Sondheim, composer & lyricist of the 2nd song, 'Losing My Mind' from his '71 'Follies'. He died aged 91 the day after a Thanksgiving 2021 dinner w friends, ending a glorious career that began w 'West Side Story' (Leonard Bernstein wrote the music; Sondheim had to settle for 'just' the lyrics, aged 26!). His like will never pass this way again. Aside from the oft-recorded 'Send In The Clowns', this is the singular exception of one of his songs being thrown pop. Bow your heads. Great effort all around. FTR: Touring band on The Arsenio Hall Show, no Pet Shop Boys on stage.
Fantastic composer and also props to the pet shop boys for re working it into Sondheims only top ten hit . He couldn't have produced a hit single he was good but not that good.
Lo curioso de esta actuación es que los músicos no tocan nada siendo el sonido directo. Directo del ordenador blanco que aparece a la izquierda. Ella está genial.
she only performed this live once or twice and love pains a few times in some concerts in the early 90s she sang so sorry as you saw on this show and that is all I know of. Perhaps she performed it in a 90s concert but no audio exists. She allegedly lip synced this song and others off the album on the stepping out tour.
Absolute beauty,, loved her singing and dancing to loosing my mind ❤

everything is in those eyes. x
Amazing album. I listen to it still. Love Pains especially.
Great to hear these with a live band and not the actual backing tracks.
Liza was especially gorgeous in 1989 with the Results album. It was also a great refreshed sound for her
It's wonderful to hear her singing these live!

I love how Liza does pop here, though there's a hint of cabaret.
The dancing…. It first surprised me, then I thought of Cabaret.
AN unique esquisite multifaced artist.
His partnership with PSB shows how food a job tgey di with this customixed lo.
This needs to be remastered !
Wonder why this original haunting ballad was so widely ignored… euro pop is not for everyone but the ballad was and is outstanding
No Neil and Chris with this version but a live band it appears.Slightly different but still amazing.'Results' was a great album.
Impressionante , como a vós lembra Judy Garland, tal mãe, tal filha. ❤❤❤❤

I can't find any live performance of "I want you now"

@@jeframp3805 Thank you.
@@jeframp3805 yes she did, but the performance was great, saw it live in Hamburg
I think this is not lipsync!
No. It's her live voice!
Excellent !!!
