However you could use a a squeegee to further compress and squeeze out and scrape off any excess resin. Particularly on a control surface where any gram courts to reduce the remaining momentum.

You can clean the scissors with acetone to get all the resin of them. the peel ply can just be pulled off by hand after it has cured.
I’m surprised no rollers were used to squeeze out air bubbles and excess resin.
On such a small area dabbing any air bubbles out with a brush works perfectly fine.
