i know some people complain about all the custom items and models and stuff but i personally really like them, theyre a cool way of adding personality to stuff that would normally be plain without going too far beyond vanilla
It's funny how Mojang won't add the other two options from every mob vote. If they were so hard to make, then why are the modders able to recreate the mobs in no time?

@@LordDragox412 I agree with you that it's odd they don't add the other two mobs from each vote, but saying that it must be easy to add them because modders have managed it just fine isn't accurate. While modders can just add something "good enough", mojang have to make sure it's balanced correctly, it has no glitches, it interacts with everything else in the game in the expected ways, they have to make sure all it's tags and attributes are correct as well as all of the lists its in, etc etc. Basically, it's a far more involved process for them than for modders
I agree, part of the allure in watching hermitcraft is all the cool builds and ideas people bring to life... and part of owning your own server is being able to do what you want with it.

The shop interior is so amazing!!! The pumpkin model copper plushies are so cute!! I love how the common mispronunciation of the phrase "formerly known as" as "formally known as" has now become accurate with how colloquially it's still called Twitter but its formal name is X!
Can't say I've ever heard anyone mispronounce formerly as formally in that context.

What if you also sold copper trapdoors? They won't be as expensive anymore, but they also can't be crafted from any of the blocks you're selling. Lots of pent up demand for it too lol
And aging doors and trapdoors in 1.21 is tideous

X should hold off on updating the server so hermits have to buy more copper to make trapdoors 😆

@mkks4559 In my world, I'm still waiting for copper doors in my build to fully oxidize while playing 2-3 hours every day. Imagine Tango, whose factory design is basically trapdoors from top to bottom 😅

due to school and other stuff, i have been watching xisuma less, but i got to say, the building he does is really great. i really think that lighting trick with the columns is amazing, makes the bottom copper bulb almost seem like a spotlight aimed upwards and reflecting off the wall, I would imagine bdubs would like this trick aswell!

If I recall correctly, in the story, Goliath's armor was made of a copper alloy.
The copper block room could indicate where each level of oxidation is sold via a gradient on the floor.
Xisuma need to make himself a trophy for hitting 1000 level.

I’ve got a great idea Xisuma, as we all know, Scar is the animal collector and seller, but he hasn’t been doing his job recently… so I say you hire him to gather bees for your automatic honeycomb farm.

He doesn't reset his episode count throughout the seasons
Even if he did reset his episode number he’s still at 44 episodes which is the most and way ahead of second place Ren at 29
Xisuma just has a different grindset. He has been uploading 10 to 20 videos a day for the past couple months

Not entirely, I think X says it because he's very exposed to Americanisms through the internet and socials, but from where I am in the UK we'd say "You lot" which is more UK Slang
I'm really digging that intersection a 14:30. Reminds me of Vex' Super Hostile maps back in '09. I just imagine one of those paths are going to lead to a massive glowstone cave or icy cavern with charged creepers and ghasts flying around
Wow nice one X! You managed to discover how I do all my blaze farms!
One tip to stop blaze from jumping when hitting them, is to place leaves on the wall of the kill chamber.
Also it doesn't matter that lava is slow to move the blaze, as once you get them out of the range of the spawner, the speed to move them isn't the problem. Same with other mob spawners, getting them to drop low enough out of the range of the spawner. And as always, it would be so nice if the top results on the internet just showed this, but no it's buried in the wiki hard to understand, or on 1 single old drawing from maybe 10 years ago
I think you can use powdered snow to kill the blazes as I'm pretty sure it deals increased damage to them.

I occasionally come back to catch up and I'm always impressed how your still improving and refining your playstyle. Your builds are just getting better, and the vibes have always stayed consistent. Not much else you can ask for from a channel. Congratulations on all the years of great videos. Remembering guardfall was quite a nostalgia hit.

I was looking at the copper grates in the waterway and thinking of something.
I worked with copper gutters and normally the part exposed to the most water is what is oxidized the most.
Obviously you’re going for a style, but I figured I’d throw that in there haha.
He was talking about that when mentioning the gradient on the walls of copper, but decided the random gradient looked better

What's crazy is that it's probably easier to get copper from trial chambers now, I filled half a shulker with waxed oxidised copper from the floor of one room

If you would place a few floating gravel blocks in the roof to get the floating gravel particles, it would bring the room to the next level
how do you get floating gravel in survival though?
@@digitaldritten there was a trick by placing gravel on rose bushes and then removing the lower part of the plant, this way the gravel won't get updated and doesn't fall

It's surreal to think it's been 9 years since Guardfall and the end of Season 2 Hermitcraft! You say the UA-cam game was different back then, but your videos have maintained the same feel as yours from 9 years ago, and I think that's why we've all stuck around for so long!

I have an idea for the next hermit base tour stream. Mobless nighttime for the time of the show.
Hermits are quick on skipping the night cycle and it is rare that we see their bases glow and shine in the dark. It would be fun to see how hermits might prepare for that kind of look. Placing strategic lightsources around or going raw at it!
"1 Diamond block per Stack" might be a little confusing when the stack sizes in the chest are 32! :D

What does it mean please?
The middle of the crossroads could be widened into a circle with a copper feature in the centre, maybe an ancient copper diamond which the whole thing was built around.
You can put water in the roof above the grates on the wall so the story for all the different ages looks like water only dripped on some grates and missed others.
In the blaze farm, I'm pretty sure you can use pressure plates to trigger the pistons without needing redstone. But even then, 4 buckets of lava is way simpler.

I have to say Goliath sign with the farm the blaze farm and the copper pet are great. I think your right about the thunderstorm with where the copper farm is but if you put 4 lighting rods 6 or 8 blocks away from each corner of the farm. I think that will help out.

Should build a glass roof way above the farm at build limit to prevent weather while keeping it invisible. Either that or a whole bunch of lightning rods not touching your copper

14:36 Man! The tiny little copper gradient up by the ceiling above the entrances and the corners (maybe you could call it crown molding?) is so cool! It’s very subtle but it looks SO good!
Should add some glowberries to the overgrown ceiling in the corridors, the orange will pop with the copper coloring i think
I can't say I've been around since guardian falls, but I've been around since season 3 and found you because of guardian falls. So awesome.
Mentioning guardfall really brings me back, i think that was one of the first videos of yours I watched back in the day.
In the main room of the copper shop you could make some of the lights flicker occasionally and add some dripping water to the ceiling to really sell the ambiance!
I really appreciate this video editing. X says he’ll do something then it cuts to the something complete, but it’s not a jumpy cut being too big, it’s nice spacing steps, felt very calm watching.

Im surprised you didnt use lava to push blases before! Thats always what I'd do for mob that takes damages in water but not lava, especially in those skyblock servers

Beautiful shop. Gnembon's blaze farm just uses the blaze AI against them. A little more setup than what you have currently, but no redstone, so much simpler than other blaze farms.
