I'm cheap, so instead of peeling off the paint, I would make it into a paintskin, then use it later to collage into something. Either brush some gloss gel medium or self leveling gel from Golden's if you have it, let it dry and it will make a transparent paintskin - you could even use them for window decorations.
I love these ideas you are sharing. I have have more "stuff" than I knew of ... just need to get the old "gears" (good one!) going. Sometimes I think I don't have things like pearls and charms, etc for scrapbooking - and voila - you show up with these cool ideas and I have more than I knew I had. A big THANK YOU!!!
ok this is way more than you want to know lol...i'm sitting here with my head phones on watching you video (yea) next thing I know here come the hubby telling me to stop this video(now mind you he has never done this) so I did thinking something crazy is going on and he like what are they doing with those gears...and i'm like "THATS cardboard!"(thinking why are you interrupting all the crafty goodness!) he said well that looks like a M0000 64....lol....so funny, he works at a factory that makes gears!!!!! true story, so yes "your" cardboard gears are real looking!!!!!
that is soooo funny Meli, I guess they look real enough then LOL!
Yes they do!!!!
Ingenious! Loved this as well. Thank goodness, you are teaching us to try and create this items while being frugal.
I just bought that die in December and I did the same thing only I made mine look grungy and rusty. I used them on several cards for men and was really pleased with the results. I highly recommend this die. I also bought T.H.' gear embossing folder and it came with an engineering embossing folder and I use them a lot too.
Oh how I wish I had this die! These look so cool. Thanks for showing us how to create them.
Hi Lindsay, it truly brightens my day when there is one of your videos waiting for me in my subscription feed. Thank you so much, Love all your videos.
Another excellent tutorial! Thanks for sharing - this will be most useful in all sorts of projects.
Really like this too as well as the earrings you made. Tfs. I really admire your energy, you are so comfortable with the camera, I just couldn't do it. However, I must admit I haven't been able to keep up with all your videos, but I do enjoy the ones I have watched. Thanks again.

Nice tutorial, but I don't have a die like that, and there is no way this net to Xmas I'll get one sob sob lol huggles xxxAnnxxx
I've seen pre-cut die cut shapes on ebay, for as low as $3. with shipping. Considering the machines to cut it cost $100, and dies around $30. Pretty good deal.
Debbie S Ive got the machine, but never seen them on ebay, but will have a look thanks, maybe someone in UK will have them on there.
So COOL!!!!!!
Great idea! Thanks.
