I did a blind buy of this one bc of Demi Rawling:). I knew I’d love it though, even sight unseen (or rather, even smell unsmelled), because I love aaaaall the scents that make up this fragrance .. especially all of the creamier ones (sandalwood is sooo good). So of course yes, I love it. You did such a great job describing it! And thx for the less expensive but similar scents. I always love to know of “"dupes” even though I still always end up purchasing the “real” one, the expensive one.
I like Demi Rawling but I do not like her recommendations for me. I bought a ton of samples to her recommendations and didn't really like anything. I hate Delina and I didn't care for any of the others except the Xerjoff which was excellent but too gourmand for me.
Gris Chanel was to me love at first smell, I love it so much because of the fig and cardamom notes, it’s so addictive and seductive.I believe the name refers to Paris and the carnal desires. Great video and I hope you’ll enjoy it even more! 🤗
Oui, oui, carnal desires, sounds good, although I don't find it necessarily a "carnal" fragrance. Thank you!! 🥰🤗 I enjoy it a lot, wearing it as we speak. 😝
Thank you for doing this review and comparisons! I really enjoy Indi and Sunnyside Up, so I'll be adding Gris Charnel to my wishlist 👌🏼 And yes, I would love to see more videos like this where you compare fragrances that are in a similar vein.
I really liked my sample of Gris Charnel EDP but it also gave me a similar vibe to Crystal Noir sooo I ordered a full bottle of the extrait. I don't detect any fig per se on both versions 🤷♀
Im a guy and i have no problem wearing Gris Charnel. And im not even metrosexual leaning. With my slightly acidc skin i get both great longevity and projection.
I have both Gris Charnel and Versace Noir. I gave the Versace to my daughter. It lacks sophistication. She’s a teen, so it works for her. Worlds apart. Gris Charnel is nuanced and sensual. Intoxication of spices, but not overwhelming.
I don't even recall what I said in this video 😁😁 it was years ago. If I said one and the same thing, I was wrong, they aren't and you are totally right
I love all of the notes of Gris Charnel except for Iris. The fragrance is lovely and comfortable while still being chic but the powdery, cosmetic feel from the iris always makes it feel 'not me.' Maybe by the time I finish my sample I'll like it more.
Exactly now I opened youtube wondering if my awesome romanian perfume freak uploaded smth new...and here u are! I bought last week a 10 ml decant but I had to re-sell it, not because it's bad (it's ok), but because I don't like that fig note. The fig note reminds me 100% of Feuille de Figue from Roger etc Gallery (created by the same perfumeur like Gris Charnel). A quite cheap but nice brand. Because for.me the best fig is the one in Philosykos, I tend to compare all figs to that one, that's why I don't like the GC fig. Even though I like the other notes in it, my skin projects 90% only that fig note...so yeah, I couldn't... BUT, I'm sure that a lot of people would enjoy it. Indie, have to smell it again. For the price is super nice. I'm guessing that it has the same sandalwood accord as that white bottle from Zadig & Voltaire which I like in other people, not so much on me (I love my sandalwood and I'm quite picky with it). Versace Cristal noir (don't know exactly if edt or edp) I like it on others a lot but mostly because a mineralish /ambergris-ish note. Love your shirt!
Guilty as charged... Of being a freak 😅😅 My relationship with fig is a love/hate one, so far at least. I don't find Philosikos so bad anymore 😅😅 and Feuille de Figue I haven't smelled. The Crystal Noir in the video is the EDP, but I find them both, edt and edp similar. 🥰😘♥️ it's a dress by the way, thanks!
@@IamNoelle oh really, did you? That is a shame but always a risk with fragrance. Maybe you can keep it around see if you like it again in a while. I just sampled a lot from MFK, BDK and Mizensir. I really like Petit Matin from MFK and I think I will treat myself for my birthday in July 🤗
As you described the scent of Grey Charnel, the smell has nothing to do with the name. 'Cause the name makes me think of a chapel...🤔It's a weird name for a perfume. Crystal Noir to me is a feminine, nightime fragrance, exactly as you described it. I don't know indy, but i will sample it. I really enjoyed the video, I just had my favourite cup of tea while watching😁 ♥️♥️♥️♥️
You like Gris Charnel? Considering you like tea so much, I do too actually. 😋 You are a lovely presence, meant to say this! Thank you for your comment! 🥰🥰🥰
Love the polka dots! Uuu fig and tea you say? I know you are not keen on that fig note and that means this is good 😉 Gonna try Indi now 🤣 I knew it would not last
Hi Noelle, Superb review! 👍 I personally find the BDK Gris Charnel to be just a shadow of Ambre Gris by Balmain, created in 2008, which was a true masterpiece. 💎 Unfortunetely, already discontiniued 🙈 Balmain had great depth, warmth and high end quality projection lasting all day long with a strong silage. BDK’s Gris Charnel is very similar in dry down, but rather flat, synthetic, and short living on skin comparing to Balmain 🙄 what a shame now BDK gets all the hype 😢
Hi, Interesting, I have never tried the Balmain fragrance you mentioned and probably will never get the chance. Would definitely like to. 🤗 thank you for your kind words!
@@IamNoelle 🤗 It appears on ebay from time to time. This offer : www.ebay.com/itm/223513763703 is quite expensive for a blind buy, but just wait for the cheaper offer to come along 😉 I got my bottle for 100 EUR last year. Bests 😘 Jo

Gris Dior by Christian Dior... The juice is grey in colour
Edit: Great review by the way. Am definitely interested in testing this one out
Thank you, thank you! 🤗 Indeed you are right, but since I don't own that one, kinda forgot about its color. 😅😝
I love your background and your top! :) Looking forward to hearing your thoughts :)

Oh yes, I totally see the similarities. Gris Charnel for me is the posh, sophisticated version of that.
Im a guy and i have no problem wearing Gris Charnel. And im not even metrosexual leaning. With my slightly acidc skin i get both great longevity and projection.
Why not, if you enjoy it. Gender in perfumery is just a marketing tool. 🤗🤗

Gris Charnel and Pas Ce Soir are my favorites. Great Review
Pas ce Soir I still gotta "study" more 🤗🥰
Iam with you, I love gris charnel got a sample today, hoping the longevity is good
Yay 🤩
The tea and fig notes makes it so creamy and milky.😊

It happens with some, probably because when I love something I tend to overuse it.
I heard it means sensual grey
Oh ok, makes sense, because it is indeed sensual ☺️

Grey carnal= represents the sensuality of Parisian essence. This is what the creator said on UA-cam.
