    Hey everyone! Thanks for watching! The comment I made about women being smarter was kind of a joke and apparently not delivered well - my bad - but since making this video I have received a lot of comments on the topic and I have done a lot more research on the topic. It is actually very intetesting and I made a whole video on it ! Check it out. Thanks for your input and let me know if there are any future topics you would like for me to cover!

I would personaly like to know why feminists are not on the barricades, demanding laws, that ensure equality in the garbage-collecting industry, in the sewer-cleaning industry and in the dying-for-your-country industry. I would like to see a video on how the patriarchy is DESTROYING womens careers in these fields

I am still a teen and would love to be a stay at home mom some day and most of the time I find myself too embarrassed to say it or when I do they assume it is because I am stupid. This is so frustrating!!! Can you a video on advice for people sticking up for themselves when it comes to those types of things(especially teens still in high school on all subjects politics wise)

      She means Western Feminism, which completely ignores the issues you brought up. You need a certain level of cultural understanding of the rights of the individual for equality to be possible. The areas you mentioned have low or no idea of individual rights.

    I grew up in the 80's and 90's and everything was fine back then. I thought we were equal back then. Then all of the sudden within the past few years there has been this wave of feminism that has swept the country. I don't understand where it has come from and I think it is pushing men away. I agree with everything you've said. And by the way, I wouldn't look down on you at all if you were to be a stay at home mom.

      Actually, we weren't equal back then. Women had more legal rights than men did, then as now. You are correct though in that the modern climate is far more toxic for men than it was back then.

      Barbara Elle ... Feminist didn't make me MGTOW. Just women's attitude and I was always broke when I dated. I'll never ever be in a relationship again. I do not hate women. Women believe MGTOW men hate women. Not true. I miss the touch of a woman and the closeness. But I can't be broke again. I'm in my 50's now and won't be able to start over again. I have saved a lot of money for retirement. Maybe I've been with the wrong women. It's to late now. Take care. One more thing: I am not rude to women like when I'm out at a store. U don't see MGTOW men protesting with signs saying they hate women.

    I have been oppressed by men, I've lived with sexist people and so on and even though I know that's awful, becoming a feminist would not help the situation. Men aren't the problem and neither are women. It's just certain people in general and all I hope for the future is for the world to be a safer and kinder place. Let's put all this feminist bs away and work on becoming better people.
    Great video by the way x

      Wrong morgengabe1. Image is incredibly important to me. Say I was single, I would never waste my time even talking to this girl because of what she could possibly be due to her image. So even if we share the same ideals and is probably very like minded, I would never have known because of her image. Which is shame because shes not bad looking. My opinion is you should outwardly portray yourself on your personality.
      I simply don't have the time in life to talk to every attractive woman I see in order to find ones soulmate.

    • @morgengabe1
      @morgengabe1 6 років тому +8

      Danny Moe I don't know why you don't see that as being near pathetically shallow and ignorant. You don't know a person by looking at them alone.
      You're probably going to waste a lot of time in life pursuing women who aren't good for you and trying to save relationships that shouldn't exist because of your attachment to superficial judgements. All I'm saying is dig a little deeper before you validate a person or choose to write them off.

    • @Danny-is5if
      @Danny-is5if 6 років тому +13

      Like I said, life is too short to be able to evaluate and talk to each and every attractive woman I see. "You don't know a person by looking at them alone."
      Wrong again, you can tell a lot by just looking at someone. Body language, interests in clothing, branding, piercings, tattoos, hair dye/cut, political messages on t shirts or bags etc.
      Bet then again, even a normal looking attractive woman can share SJW/feminist ideals such as the great Emma Watson. She and this woman are quite deceptive that way, but that's part of fishing I guess.

    Welcome to the centre. The extreme far left and far right are unhealthy choices as they lead to nihilism/destruction of civil society. We need a better / wiser path on life issues that is centred, level-headed and not easily swayed into the extremeties, while keeping humanistic virtues that are currently categorized into left or right wing. There is only one category: what is humane, and the values that allow us to conduct ourselves justly and constructively.

    I find it funny that when women talk about equal rights, they never mention responsabilite as well. take the right to vote men have to register for the draft, each right also has a responsabilite that goes with it and many women reject responsabilite altogether. it's unfortunate and counter productive.

      Hmm.. just throwing it out there that it was actually Congress (and at the time, majority men) that determined that the reintroduction of the selective service in 1980 would apply to men only. It was also only in 2015 that the Department of Defense decided to lift gender based restrictions in military. Also, no American has been pressed into involuntary service since the last draft during the Vietnam War. I only make this comment to point out that women as a whole did not make the decision not to be required to sign up for draft, it was male politicians who voted against it.

I would have expected to call myself a feminist today but I can't, for many of the reasons you cite. My wife finds feminists insulting because they criticize her life choices (she stayed home with the kids) and they insist woman are helpless victims and unable to think for themselves. Feminists lost their way somewhere. It's a sad way for things to have gone IMHO.

    I know it's a long journey Crysta. But, and this is not a neg on you, but you might consider starting with men and women should AND DO already have equal rights under the law. That's the point where the modern feminists went off the rails; they continue to try and convince themselves that we're still living in 1950 or 1885 with all this oppression and all that other made up nonsense. We don't. Feminism has done a hell of a job breaking down barriers and getting equal rights. Those battles have been fought and won. Thus, why our current crop of feminists piss and moan about manspreading and sexist air conditioning; there are no more battles to fight respecting equal rights in the Western world. Still plenty do to in other countries where this is actually oppression against women...and men for that matter. Alexander wept when he realized there were no more worlds to conquer. And, pregnancy from rape is no more or less than regular consensual intercourse. I ran the numbers, and it is single digits of women who are raped get pregnant. A couple of thousand per year at the most.

    Hello Crysta, I like small youtubers like u, who actually make sense and this is coming from a man who studied literature in a third world country(Bangladesh, developing country). I admit that there are many prejudices among people(by feminists,men). I myself faced sexism, if I want address the actual event, it would go actually something like this. I used to work in a private bank. I wanted to change by job as it was too far away from my home. I applied for a job in the American Embassy for the post of Information officer. I scored the highest in the exam,97 out of 100. The examiner, who also was a lady, told us all our scores after we were finished. I was called in for a viva. They were supposed to take two people in for the position. The 2nd number was 87 and the third one was 71 who btw was a girl. So, i went in for viva. The whole board was were women, which i didn't particularly care. But a weird/funny thing, I saw, before I went into the viva room, the third woman, who scored 71, coming out of the viva room laughing with her "mother". The viva board was all women including the HR head (which didn't bother me at all).At that time, I thought, it must be nepotism and I should get the second position as the circular stated two person and I was the highest scorer on the written test. I went in, my wasn't very good, I admit that but at that time I was already working for a bank and I kind of forgot most of literature. So, a month later, a letter came from the American Embassy that I wasn't picked for the position but encouraged me to try for the next time. The American Ambassador in Bangladesh is a lady btw "Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicate". I looked up in their Facebook page, only that girl who scored 71, 26 number less than myself, got the job and no one else. At first, I thought, well the Ambassador is a woman, she must need a woman information officer, that makes sense and also nepotism but why only one? There were supposed to be two people. Then I remembered, rest of the people qualified for the post were men. That event broke me so hard, specially at that time, i was desperately seeking for a new job and I am a 3.7 out of 4 scorer in my masters degree, from Jahangirnagar University, which is one of top most public universities of our country. This event was back in the end of 2014 and at the commencement of the new year 2015. This 2018 now. I stopped applying for those kind of jobs. I am afraid of women now because of "all the craziness". I am hateful towards my mother and big sister and also myself because of social expectations. I want to hear your thoughts on where this "crazy" feminism is heading towards and specially, on social platforms, it is usually American Feminism which is absolutely nonsense because they only argue about Donald Trump but not address any issues regarding women who actually need it. Also crazy, loudmouth, Feminazi, radical/intersectional feminists and Antifa (extremist ignorant militia group) are just hateful and violence mongering groups. What are your thoughts on the next possible/positive turn cause as a man I think myself as a mistake cause I can not uphold to the social expectations thrust upon me and I am afraid and angry!
    Hope I was able to state my situation a little bit. Thanks.

    the whole wage gap thing is just a buzz-term for them, like i'm going to school to become an educator because i discovered i loved the profession after being kind of like a teacher's assistant for a class in high school, and i am very aware i'm going to make like $40K a year to $50k a year and i'm okay with that because the job will also allow me to have the family i want without prioritizing my career over them like you mentioned in the video when you said you were going in to be an Aesthetician

    Hetro-normative is why we exist! I.e. normal heterosexual instinctive drive results in the continuation of the species. So F-yeah!
    Children are labor and resource intensive. They are also taxing on one's sanity ;-) This is why two parents are necessary. It simply takes two so when one isn't feeling fully up to the task the other can cover for them. Raising children is a collaborative effort. The payout is the joy of children and family for the length of one's life. That is if you do it right.

    A well-thought and reasoned conclusion indicative of a lot of reflection, I think. I definitely appreciated watching this because even if I would have disagreed heavily with who I can only assume you must have been before this, that were ultimately willing to take pause, consider the other side, and make a new decision about your previous one using the new information. Unfortunately, I think far too many feminists actually stop themselves from thinking outside the party-box, becoming exactly what they claim women were like when they were in their husbands' shadow; which is so ironic, I have a hard time laughing at it.

    A lot of great points! One thing I'd like to point out about the women being forced into marriage in Middle Eastern and Eastern culture, no one ever talks about the young males that are also put into arranged marriages. These girls aren't being married off to inanimate objects and not always to older men, its men their own age that likewise do not have a choice in the matter.

I agree with almost everything you said (we differ just a little with regards to abortion, but I think that's ok), and I think you have pretty much summed up why I'm no longer a feminist myself. You are absolutely right. Men can struggle too, but you can support them alongside women. Why are so many feminists so insistant that only one gender's struggle matters?

  • @poopmaster13
    @poopmaster13 6 років тому +7

    I, like you, just by how I have always felt and viewed things, would fall under the label of "Feminist". But I will never, ever, identify as such. For one thing, I think just one its face, the WORD stands in the face in Equality. It is a gender-specific word, and that alone, on a petty but also practical level, flies in the face of the concept of Gender Equality. Feminism by its very name, is a Women-Centric movement, to some individuals, they are fanatics, they treat it like a literal cult, of women worshiping women. A movement in which people spout lines that many of them don't even understand, such as "The Future is Female", which at its roots, was literally a theory that for the world to ever have peace, all but 10% of the world's male population would have be to killed off. Hence, perhaps ironically, perhaps not, the more recent sister slogan of "Kill All Men". Very progressive, enlightened stuff.
    Beyond that, I do not stand for hypocrisy. As you state, while there ARE some rational, decent feminists out there, the alleged "vocal minority" rules the roost, so to speak, and the so-called "rational majority" of the movement that is said to exist, do absolutely nothing to reign in the childish and misandric behavior. They do not police their own, which is the only way negative elements of a movement ever WILL go away: from the inside. No external force or influence is ever going to chance how nasty and petty feminism has become. But the so-called "rational" feminists are either too cowardly, or too lethargic, to try and take back control of their own movement from the entitled, screaming tantrum children who have hijacked it.
    I have always felt that women should be given equal rights and treatment to men. It's ridiculous to do otherwise. But that goes BOTH ways. What we're in the process of seeing, with things like the "Me Too" and "Time's Up" movements, is a wave that is advocating pushing men down to lift women up. Advocating overkill, trying to stamp out the mistreatment of SOME women by SOME men, by going to the extreme, and not caring if innocent men suffer, their lives even being utterly destroyed, in the process. Because, after all, as you stated, men and boys' issues are irrelevant, and men's rights shouldn't exist. We're already so damn privileged just by our instance of birth, that we can stand to suffer here and there. Never mind that boys and men have been on a growing trend of suffering and being left behind in the last several decades. Nevermind that the vast majority of young school dropouts, young homelessness, young unemployment, and young suicide, are young men. That is what happens when you try to over "correct", doing all of these things to try and lift girls up, while at the same time literally telling boys they don't matter, that they are basically born bad, that their feelings and needs and experiences aren't important, etc. They don't get the support, the love, and the help they need, far too often, and are left all alone.
    I don't deny that there has been some SERIOUS shit wrong with society for a very long time, and that there are in fact many signs that some of that at least has been deliberate. But I do not believe it is this "Patriarchy" bullshit they spout. The very real, very dangerous issues we face, are FAR bigger than the Patriarchy, or reproductive rights, or "Social Justice".
    Anyway....nice video, and while no one needs to be congratulated for thinking for themselves, I will commend you for your mind, and your thoughts. I hope that you influence others. Because Nature is literally dying around us, and it's our fault, yet all blind, petty humans want to focus on, are mundane, tedious issues, that aren't going to mean a damn thing down the road, if we're all dead.
