I dismissed this song upon it’s release in ‘67 during my adolescence as somewhat gimmicky, but once I started to live through my parents divorce in my late teens, it became a brutally honest anthem that is both courageous and heartbreaking. Of course, there’s nothing like vintage Cher, before the warble. ❤
