Way to go Tulane! Great game, great season.
To see Tulane getting this win is a big deal to me. The thing that Im most thrilled by is their determination on playing hard against the Knights. Fans were happy, the state of Louisiana is likely going to party, and its just nice to know their run has continued to carry them. This back in forth pace though had me worried to a small degree. Knights still played well enough when points were exchanged.
Give Pratt the quarterback his respect though.

This has been a great program build by Willie Fritz and, even as a LSU fan, I'm thrilled Tulane is being competitive at football again, but the bulk of the city of New Orleans, much less the entire state, can't be bothered to care about Tulane football...at this point. Just the nature of the beast when you have a terrible history and a small student body/alumni base that's mostly from out of state. Fritz has something going, though, and Tulane should be stoked that he stayed. Hopefully that new on-campus stadium finally starts to pay dividends on attendance and atmosphere. That small crowd can be good, from what I've gather on tv.
Tulane's offense is serioussss! QB, RB, WRs were all balling. Congrats to them! Love seeing the wealth spread around rather than the same old teams winning their conferences
I am a die-hard UCF fan, and that will never change. Nevertheless....I can say Congrats, Tulane. Great job.

From a Tulane student, UCF, your alumni have an immense amount of class. I was getting congrats from so many of them walking home and I made sure to return the favor in giving them class back. A great season for both teams

What are you talking about that most UCF students/alumni can’t afford a flight? UCF is arguably, with the removal of Texas, the top academic institution in the entire Big 12. UCF boast a top Engineering/Computer Science program and this is what draws the most students. Especially Aerospace Engineering which I study at UCF. 30% of the Engineers at Kennedy Space Center are UCF grads. UCF boasts a 36% acceptance rate which is lower than FSU and most public universities in the country, yet still has the largest student body since it draws so many students on an international level. UCF is just a young university which is why it lacks the prestige of schools like UF, but it is growing super fast, at a pace no one would have ever expected. UCF will become one of the best athletic programs in the country soon and I fully expect Gus Malzahn to bring us to the top of college football and bring UCF to the playoff/national championship one day if he stays here and the momentum continues. UCF is a great school and has great alumni, including two astronauts. Remember the original name was Florida Technological University and was designed to serve the space program. This school was founded on the notion to “reach for the stars” quite literally and metaphorically.
@@taylorrowe2002 The Top Academic institution in the entire Big 12? Wow, you UCF guys really are delusional. Check the rankings of national universities. Baylor, TCU, Kansas and Iowa State ALL rank higher academically than UCF. First step in being a part of the Big12 is to know your place.

Happy to see Tulane's football success! I was a graduate student there the year that Nebraska won its first national championship (I am a Nebraskan), and the Tulane team wasn't much (I followed LSU's team on the radio). Congrats, Grern Wave!
As a TCU alumni/Fan, Tulane Had a special Season.. They play a Complete game And Look Tough.. I came into this game rooting for UCF and to support A Future Big 12 member Hopefully Win the Conference championship. But Came away Impressed with Tulane.. but both Teams Played Well.. some High quality Football here.. Great Game Both teams..

@@transportman3498 4 bowls in 5 years, with 3 of them wins, is pretty consistent. Our recruiting is pretty darn solid under Coach Fritz. The trajectory for Tulane is upward. Cincy lost their head coach. They will struggle in the big 12 w/o Fickel as coach and recruiting will not be the same as when he was there.

As a big UCF fan, I tip my hat to Tulane. It was just their year. They made plays when it mattered and got the win. Nothing for UCF to hang their heads about. UCF not at full strength with injuries and QB hamstring problem. The other QB KEENE was in street clotbes and they put in fresham QB Castellanos at ine point. UCF had another successful season and will go bowling. With all the great new recruits coming in, UCF should be a monster in the Big 12 for years to come. On a negative note, the UCF defense was absolutely atrocious. What's up with that Travis?

The final score is misleading. This was a really fun and exciting game. Tulane lead 14-31, then UCF started to fight back and made it 28-31, then Tulane took off at the end to make the final 21-45
Actually, its not. If you go check all the metrics, total yards, explosive plays, etc, Tulane dominated. If it wasn't for the two fumbles by Tulane, one at the 3 and on in their own territory, this game would have been a 30 point win.

Tulane needs a bigger stadium
No, they don't. They have rarely filled Yulman's ~30,000 seats in the 9 seasons it's been up, with only 3 games at sell-out capacity. There were three games this year at or below half-capacity. Build a consistent winner, and maybe, but they will always struggle putting butts in seats considering the nature of their student body and alumni base (lots of out of staters).

@@kingtheegreatone8262 that was because the other QB (Plumlee) wasn't getting it done. And when he came back in, yes, he provided a spark, but still got clobbered by 3 TD in the 4th quarter.
We beat Houston with our 3rd string QB. Injuries are part of the game. Maybe if Malzahn wasn't such a dirt bag, Keene would be staying and he could have played. That's on UCF, not Tulane.
