You still have lots of time if your exam is not until December! Make sure you do lots of slow, careful practice for Tower Hill, it's a tricky piece. Good luck!
Hi Jill For Remembrance - Would half-pedaling be suitable when playing the left hand dotted crotchet Ds in Bar2, 4, 6 etc? Or would full pedaling be more suitable? Thanks for the lovely videos!
There is not a specific metronome marking on the score of this piece - the marking in the Trinity edition is an editorial suggestion. I think getting the 'Schalkhaft' (mischievous) character is more important. For me crotchet = 76 felt very slow, but a grade 4 candidate may not be able to achieve more than this.
I absolutely love the Mifsud piece and you play it beautifully!
Thank you!
Sei mitica! Grazie, sei un meraviglioso esempio di tecnica ed espressività🌹
On a 100 Yr old Steinway! Lovely 😍
Extrêmement élégant. Excellent travail!
Thank you for this. I have nearly cracked Remembrance and Lights in the Rear View but am a struggling with Tower Hill. Exam in December. 😬

This is correct tempo you are playing?
"Sicilienne" (tempo)

@@jillmortonpianist thankyou somuch❤❤❤
Hi Jill, how many pieces for grade 4 exam,3 or 4?and How I choose my pieces under category?
Thank you 🙏
In valse we need to use sustenato or sustain pedel?
Not necessarily. Only use it if it enhances the musical performance. The printed pedalling here is tricky for a Grade 4 student
How is it grade 2 and 4 seems relatively the same difficulty?
Thats not true lol, i did grade 2 last year, im now on grade 4 and trust me grade 4 is way more difficult
There’s a big difference in grade 2 and 4. The pieces are harder both technically and musically
@@jillmortonpianist I would assume that but the particular examples chosen here aren't representative of that
@@litgamer6205 Do you play piano? What grade are you?
thank you my exam is in one week
Mine too!
Hope it went well!
