      I may try this. I got a machine for $3 at the church rummage sale years ago but can't find a manual online so use recipes online. They've turned out pretty good but kinda dense, this looks good!

      @@Amanda-kw1vi What a great deal!! I actually love this little machine and use it all the time. I came up with my own version of pizza dough, and I will share that here at some point. I do believe loading the pan correctly and weighing the flour is the key. Thank you for a lovely comment!

      @@twinnish My very old bread machine specifies this order: 1: milk, 2: flour, sugar, salt, 3: butter, one tsp in each corner, 4: yeast, in a well you make in the center.

      Awesome video. I just bought an Oster 2 lb loaf bread machine for $25, but I've been binge watching videos first because I'm afraid of wasting ingredients as I feel baking issues may come up. You seem really satisfied with your recipe and that's encouraging. Now it's time to get to making bread! Thanks for sharing.

      Thank you so much for this video... I am allergic to store bought bread but I don’t have a whole lot of room in my kitchen. And it’s just me so this size of bread machine is perfect 😍....please do more videos for this bread machine. Also I’ve purchased yeast (sold by the 2 lb bags),my dry milk and dry butter 🧈 on Amazon through Augason Farms...Blessings 30,000 Fold

      April it was a QVC brand called Cooks Essentials. And yes, the loaves in it were TINY. I bought something larger this year and it makes much larger loaves.

    Hi Patty I enjoyed your video for bread making with the cook’s essentials bread maker. I was wondering if you have a phone number for the company. I just purchased a cook’s essentials bread maker from a thrift store and a manual did not come with it. Please help and thanks in advance.

    I recently brought my made in 1997 bread machine out of the garage to see if it still worked. It does, kind of...you cannot change the setting other than loaf size but it does work. I had to go online to find the manual and have made bread every day for a week LOL I didn't realize that you were not supposed to put the yeast into the water however until watching a couple of videos. I make the well all the way to the liquid and put the yeast in and the bread has been perfect every time. I wonder if that is more pertinent if you are preparing ahead of time and having it turn on by itself at a scheduled time?

      What a great find Nicole!!! How FUN!! I don't know what the deal with the yeast and water is about, so I would say if you are getting good results then I would keep doing what you're doing!

    Do weight all the ingredients even the liquids? And if so how to you convert the?

    • @PattymacMakes
      @PattymacMakes  3 роки тому

      I do weight everything! ML and Grams weigh the same. So if something is 15 ml then it's the same as 15 g (grams). Also, a good quality wet measure will have ml as well as cup measures. I have a video on using a scale for baking and weighing ingredients if you're interested in learning more. It feels so strange at first, but honestly, my baking improved 100% when I switched from volume to weight. It's consistent and exact every time. Getting dry ingredients just right is what messes up most people's baking. I hope you will give it a go! I also share the sites I use to convert recipes to grams. It works on everything. Vintage recipes and anything else. Good luck!

    • @PattymacMakes
      @PattymacMakes  3 роки тому

      Yeah, you just don't know. People complain about EVERYTHING these days. However, I did buy some rechargeable lights that can go under the cabinets or in a closet and are motion controlled. They had terrible reviews. And that time it was accurate. The lights are garbage. Which is too bad because the idea of them is really good. But the actual product is junk. But I still use the bread machine and love it. I still say it's because people don't know how to accurately measure the dry ingredients.

      Hi Yolanda! I'm really happy this worked for you! I put my baked goods either in a zip lock bag or a tight sealing container to keep them fresh. For my bread, I put it in the bag. But keep an eye on it, because the moisture can build up quickly and cause mold. So consume you fresh baked loaf pretty quickly. You can put the bread in the bag in the fridge which also helps with it not molding up as fast.
