How I see the game is the guns are fun and vehicles aren't as op as other battlefeild games and working with a team is great but the spotting flare are bs then the respawn loop can be frustrating and some maps are super unbalanced but lots of other things the game is great and I love playing with freinds most of the time
Support and Medic is fun. Too bad that Medics, like in all games, refuse to heal and, sometimes, refuse to heal while being intelligent. Also too bad that Support doesn't have any legitimate accurate weapons that doesn't require them to go prone and bipod. Not-so-fun game, though. Makes me angry.
EDIT: Seeing J get sniped from across the map through several trees gave me flashbacks to sniper hell maps.

Honestly the biggest problem with bfv was the marketing, if they just came out and said "yeah the game is not a realistic depiction of the war" i feel like a lot less people would've been mad, but they just doubled down
Well I'd say the game has a bit of identity crisis in general.
A lot of it is very grounded, authentic and gruesome. But then you have all the whacky cosmetics.
I still love the game, though. Core gameplay is fantastic

@@AimlessSavant how? medic revives you near instantly, squad revive takes 4-5 seconds. besides, 90% of medics in battlefield don't even do their jobs. It's good you don't have to rely solely on medics.

Okay, I can understand the Soviets and maybe the late-war Germans conscripting a few women into the army, but in what goddamn universe would the hyper-traditional Empire of Japan let women _anywhere near_ the battlefield (unless perhaps they were under direct invasion of their mainland territories)? Lmao.
Tbh Japanese women would have picked up arms in a defense against the home islands. I mean look at the suicide statistics on Okinawa. Civilians killed themselves instead of letting the US capture them. In terms of a fight to the last body that could 100% have happened. Also there were female Soviet snipers and pilots and many of them were very good
@@chrisheckel3887 I mentioned both of your points in my first comment; There were plenty of women involved in the war (though seeing them in direct combat was relatively rare in the grand scheme of the conflict), I was just saying that they picked a strange faction for "female representation" lol. Besides that though, the in-game female Japanese soldiers aren't portrayed as homeland militia units or anything like that, but as straight up IJA infantry, which would basically never be allowed to happen at this point in history. It's a small complaint since BFV is already pretty notorious for being woke as hell, but I just thought it was funny.
Edit: Okay actually, in fairness, my original comment does somewhat downplay it with phrasing like "a few women," and yes, there were civilian women who resisted the American invasion of Okinawa. I can see how you'd think I was being ignorant or disingenuous.

You know JFJ is an infantry only player when he REEEs over vehicles that aren't made of paper mache and can actually kill people.
Vehicles have been overpowered since BF3 and you know it. It only really was obvious in BF4 though because BF4 has awful conquest maps.
@@pitchblackgrue No. Killing vehicles in BF1 as infantry was easy, I did it all the time. You just have to be competent.

i do not get people saying battlefield is a realistic simulator, in battlefield 4 you could get shot by a tank with a high explosive armor piercing shell at point blank and a rando with a defribillator could bring you back to life in less than 5 seconds

The problem with the women is that women did fight in WW2, but instead of respectfully portraying them in the ways and places and armies they fought in, they just threw them into the different armies without any respect or realism.

Honestly, I study WW2 a hobby and whenever I play BF5 I always feel compelled to use the faction’s I’m play as weapons.
I'm pretty much the same, but also because I enjoy using many different weapons. I'm not too good with favourites.

Its a historically fictional game, nearly every game set in the past is such. The woman with prosthetics blowing up tanks is not historically accurate at all? Yeah. Yeah im aware of that, everyone is. NOW PUSH C WITH THE ARMOR.
Always held the opinion that BFV was pretty fun, it just had a lot of fucking wasted potential. If they did to BFV what they did to BF1 with more depth in vehicle combat, it would have been something I could play for ages, but without y'know, a Russain front or anything of that sort and varying degrees of good development into the game (and the snipers and lack of vehicles) I just find it to be a fuckin shame of a game.
Man, it's a shame you don't like vehicles in these games. Like I totally understand when you're just playing infantry and you've got people manslaughtering you, but I've always thought the vehicles made the Battlefield games a little more interesting. Helped them stand out from the stupid that was CoD or Counterstrike.
Just sucks EA outright killed all support for it in the middle of a content drought. I love battlefield, but we just can't keep doing this shit EA. I just won't be able to bring myself to buy BF6.
tbh i just got this game free with prime gaming and im hyped, i dont even care about the whole women with prosthetics thing id be more mad if i was reading a history book claiming to be 100% true so i dont think about it too much
EA really shot themselves in the foot with their response to the whole controversy. Most people would've gotten over their problems with the game if it hadn't been for actual company members acting like babies over it. Granted, they could have easily just added an option to disable all the over the top skins and black female nazi models if they really wanted to get in people's good graces, but that would hinder their ability to monetize since the skins would have negative worth due to a lot of people not even seeing them.
Someone that can enjoy battlefield v for what makes it fun I thought this wasn’t possible but also understands why it’s shit
