I goofed up on the fringe because I didn't watch the instructions video.
The written instructions say to cut 102 - 7" strips, so that's what I did - I made a cardboard template that was 3 1/2" wide, wrapped it and and cut them as instructed in the written instructions (I checked my iphone's measurements and figured that your iphone was wider than mine).
Really I was supposed to cut 102 - 14" strips.
Mine still looks great! Not sure why I was confused, but next time I'll be sure to watch all video instructions. My sister wants to make this and I encouraged her to watch the VIDEO before beginning.
I love the stitch pattern. I'm now working on a baby blanket using 200 stitches on the needle (and white yarn), and it's looking wonderful! Thank you for this pattern - it's taking over my life and I love it!

Great idea, Donna. I recommend adding a border on all sides, like the garter stitch, since the Andalusian stitch tends to curl

  • @leo1120

I made the scarf with a thicker yarn and started off with 50 stitches but the width became a lot bigger than what I wanted but didn’t want to restart so continued with it.If you are using thicker yarn make sure to start off with lesser than 50 stitches to get a more narrow scarf and also it will save you a lot of time.

    • @studioknit

Suggested Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver in color Burgundy
      Worsted Weight #4
      500 - 600 yards (460 - 550 m)
If knitting with the suggested Red Heart yarn, you’ll need about 10 oz total for one scarf, so I purchased and knit with two of the 7 oz Red Heart yarn skeins.
Feel free to select any fiber and colors of your choice.

I'm fairly new to knitting so it's a bit confusing. I thought slipping 1 purlwise would have the yarn in the front since that's where it is when you actually purl. Why is the yarn in the back? If anyone could clear this up I'd really appreciate it
