Вставка
- Опубліковано 4 сер 2019
- In this video I show you how to knit a very simple and easy scarf. Perfect for the beginner. Materials I used for my scarf and this video are as follows:
Bernat softee chunky yarn or any bulky yarn will work
Size US13 or 9.0mm needles
For my scarf I cast on 25 stitches, but if you would like a wider or more narrow scarf, or maybe you would like to make a blanket. This pattern calls for :
Multiples of 4 + 1
The pattern is as follows:
Mistake Rib Stitch
Row1 - K1 [*k1, p1, k2]; repeat from * to end
Row2 - *[P1, k3]: repeat from * to last st. p1
Repeat rows 1-2 until desired length
Bind off in pattern after a row 2

Thank you for this pattern. I'm fairly new at knitting and it turned out just fine. Had a few mistakes that I was able to correct right away. That was a learning experience as well. I knitted a black scarf for my husband and he loved it. Love your videos!

Thank you Charlotte for this pattern.
I learnt the Bamboo stitch from you and now I am using the Bamboo stitch pattern and knitting for the homeless people for the winter.
I am from the UK.
😊❤🙋
I have tried this pattern with a lighter yarn but when I saw it in bulky yarn I fell in love. I will be knitting this right away. Love your videos! Thank you!
Even tho I’ve knitted for years, I just love doing simple beginner type projects! Keep doing simple - I love it!
Thank you for the video. I haven't knit in several years usually worked on lap afghans, slippers, and occasional mittens. Wanted to start knitting again; but start off slowly since it has been a while since I was an avid knitter. Your instructions are easy to follow. Again, many thanks.
I've been looking for a pattern for some bulky yarn in my stash. I think this will be perfect. Thanks for sharing!
trying to make a scarf for my girlfriend :/ I hope she likes it :(
That's so sweet! I'm sure she'll love it :)
Aww...she will surely love it...😄
If my bf did that I would treasure it to death
Me too
why the sad face...
Just finished the scarf! It looks so good! I am an absolute beginner. So the edges are a bit rough and funky. But I really enjoyed making it! Thank you!

Cool pattern just what I need for starting out thank you!
Nothing better in the winter than to keep your hands and mind busy. Thank you for sharing how to make this scarf.
Thanks for the pattern.I can't wait to get started.
Thank you for this video. Loved how your scarf looks ! It will help us a lot if you can post a video on how to fix a stitch in case of a mistake in this type of stich.
If you repeat just row 1 you'd almost be working the broken garter stitch pattern, which I highly recommend as a beginner scarf pattern. It's a good guy pattern, too.
is it reversible? Does it lay flat?
I could not knitt but now I can thanks for the marvellous videos!😊
This pattern is a perfect pattern when simplicity is called for!
I love your videos . Thank you for these amazing videos . Your explanations are perfect

So I am completely new to knitting. Normally I crochet i love this!!!
My daughter tried to teach me to knit. I just couldn't get it. Most knitters are fast. Great video Charlotte. I hope to learn someday. Crochet is what I do.
Thanks for this pattern! I love the soft rib. It was easy enough to lose myself in the process and it made a beautiful scarf. Wish I could share a pic. Gave to my nephew:) Hope you're still killin' it with needles out there!
Thank you Charlotte
Knit this for my girlfriends birthday, looks fantastic! My second major project and first finish

I can see your having trouble with the wooden needles as well . The yarn doesn't glide as easy ,but I've found a little trick that's helps alot I take just take some wax paper from the kitchen and rub it really really good on the needles or if you want you can get needle wax. But it's cheaper to use to wax paper or Beeswax candles works to .
Very easy pattern. Thanks for sharing it. By the way, if you used metal needles you would have a much easier time. Some yarns just don’t work that well with wooden needles.
Nice quick and easy scarf. Thanks!
I’m going to give this a go
It look beautiful

Guuurrrl, I'm'onna give ya a chill pill, and put ya on 75% playback speed... you were working me up to a tizzy... I knew it when my shoulders reached my ears! It's cool to be excited about something and be animated about it - I get that way myself. But I have complex PTSD and part of the problem is high pitched sounds (yer voice), sharp or udden high pitch sounds that intrude, bells, ringers, beeper, buzzers...all can trigger it and most of the time do. I do what I can to cope - I'm not crazy, after all - thus the chill pill for me is to slow you down in my world. Hyperacusis and misophonia are very real things, but most people don't know the name for it. Some people are born sensitive and with some people it develops with stress or trauma associated with certain sounds.
BTW slowing you down to 50% will take your high pitched tones out of the rafters for me. It makes your voice sound lower pitched. And allows my shoulders to relax. I really do hope people with hearing sensitivities see this post. Is problematic an unknown many people don't know how to beat it. None of my doctors ever suggested this to me! It just came to me one day to do it.
First off, I just wanted to say THANK YOU and tell you how helpful your videos have been!!! Secondly, can you transpose your videos and name it left handed version? I think it would get more views. It's so hard to find videos for lefties.
Thanks for sharing sounds helpful.
Thank you so much! ❣️
This is almost like a pattern I found, it's called: Mistake Rib, it has a one row repeat. It's a multiple of 4 plus 3 : * knit 2, p2, repeat from* to last 3 stitches, k2,p1. That row gets repeated until the scarf is done. After a few rows you can see the pattern is very close to yours.
Thank you for sharing
This looks pretty easy. Thanks for the tutorial! 😊
