I really appreciate that you showed the size comparison with the uncapped pen. How long the pen is capped is not always the best indication how long is the pen when uncapped.
A stupendous writing instrument - & more. Having large hands, I can accommodate same, easily; you're absolutely correct, the heft, balance, super springy nib just adds to it's allure. My model is in blue stripe, but I'd love Pelikan to bring out a red version. A sumptuous (somewhat indulgent) purchase, but nevertheless, one of the finest writing experiences you'll ever have. Wonderful review !! :D
& you are correct in that assertion, Mursker - I refer to the M800, tho' since writing that (3yrs prior), I've acquired the Streseman M1000; it would be a pleasant surprise to make all of the current flagship models in the mainstream colours, but clearly there are production issues offered, & with uncertain sales projections, it may well be a niche market....
Scrively nice to have you back. I love Pelikan's i have recently purchase the M600 red stripe to go with my M400 and M120. I am going to work my way up the pen sizes until i have the M1000. What i especially love about Pelikans is their nibs to me they are the best nibs. Thanks for sharing your amazing M1000 i appreciate it very much.
Scrively thank you and yes indeed and hopefully i will have a full flock of all the different sizes in the M series of the said pens. Thank you my friend and glad to have you back.
Thanks for the review. I've never seen an M1000 but it looks like a giant compared to my M200. Lovely workmanship but I think my hands are too small for the writing experience to be comfortable. Keep the videos coming. I enjoy your contribution.
I also have fairly small hands ( the pen is the almost entire length of my writ to the end of my middle finger), but I find the pen very comfortable to write with, though I choke farther back on the grip section than most, with the middle of my thumb on the threads. You should definitely try an M1000 out sometime, you might like the feel of the pen!
I will get one of these one day. But in a pen of this size, the typical striped design of Pelikan is just too much for me; too busy. I think it's a design that looks best in the smaller pens, m600, m400... At times I already find my green striped m800 on the verge of looking gawdy (sometimes I love it, though). I suppose it depends on the light. Anyway, I am definetly going for the full black version with an M1000.
@@Scrivelynotes I did it!!! After having saved money for some time, I finally decided to give this pen a try. It arrived last week. I was used to Pelikan quality, but this is a whole new level. Oh, my, this is an unbelievably springy, smooth, and WET nib. Just fabulous. It is the perfect match for my Montblanc 149, also with a medium nib. The two German titans.
@@arnauuu1 Ha! Thanks for coming back to this thread, sharing your story! I am glad to hear you are happy. You indeed possess two jewels of writing instrument history right there. Enjoy them! I love mine, too :-) .
Welcome back my friend. Good start and good pen after ur holiday vacation.... having same opinion in here as urs..very nice nib for sure..amazing performance like the huge nib size but the pen size don't suite me... love my m805
That depends a little on the country you live in. Why dont you just look it up in an online store in your country? In Europe, the pen usually goes for around 550€, though special offers can be found at times.
Mucho más que la Mont Blanc. Prefiero la Pelikan. Prefiero también Faber Castell, Edding o Staedler. Vaya plumón más bonito y decorado y con que suavidad de escritura. Antonio, de Alicante, España.

Thank you very much!
Indeed. I don’t care how long the pen is when it is capped, it is nice to know, but the really important thing is it’s uncapped size.

Definitely a fantastic pen. Just a little too large, unwieldy, and bouncy for me personally.
How did you get an Pelikan M100(0/5) Blue Stripes? I didn’t knew that they ever made one. Or do you mean the M805 Blue Stripes?
They never made a blue stripe M1000. You are probably thinking of the M800.

@scriveley, you mention in the video that custom pen bodies are made for this nib. Please may I ask if you may know who makes these custom pen bodies?
Yes, sure. Newton Pens, for instance.
Hmmm. I didn't get a seal around the inner case.
Please review defferent type of the Pelican pens in Hindi.
We very much enjoy your reviews. They are, if we may bold to say, scientific in an amusing sort of way which relieves the matter of tedium. Cheers.
This is the first time I hear my reviews being described in that manner. Very interesting! Thanks much for that!
@@Scrivelynotes It is my pleasure, sir.

Thanks a lot for your kind words! The M1000 will indeed make almost any other pen look like a dwarf!

I actually really like the striped version. But I can also totally understand your point.

Thank you very much! And yes: the M800-size does also fit my hand the best of all of them.
M1000 vs M800? I have small hands...
M800!
how much does the M1000 cost?
