Something that took me a long time to realize (after about 4 years of arts classes and at least a "couple" 100 hours playing FTD) was that you also don't have to do it all in one sitting and you don't even have to work on the same design every time, taking breaks give your brain time to work on the design and when you come back to a design you'll often find yourself adding a ton of detail that you hadn't thought of before. And if you feel like you're forcing the creative process then *stop* and do something else, go watch your favorite series or play something else because the second you start forcing it is the second you start killing your creativity
Have you tried something like engineering ships, like mobile bases or mining barges? Might be something different to try building. Im terrible with combat ships in SE, but somewhat ok with the other, so this video has helped with the design process of a more combat focused ship. Then again, I mostly play survival over testing anything in creative. (Sorry for long comment) Again, great energy and personality. Keep being you!
I know someone who is quite interested in puppetry, and what it can be used for. And seeing as how you didn't use any of that weird deep-fake software to turn yourself into a cat but instead went and used a puppet instead, this type of video is very interesting to me, and much more pleasant.
That was quite a pleasant video, no crazy weirdness or memes like I'm used to seeing on the internet and helped me get a bit of an idea of how to set up a design!

I love this game, but it's actually very difficult to be unique and original. There are just so many references to emulate. For me, I design my builds inspired by my UA-cam series. I make my ships buildings and very industrial looking. I simply love this game, it's like Lego for adults.
This seal gives seal of approval to the builder seal and the video ;) It might be a long shot but it would be nice if you could get the help of your chonk followers with the combat scenes. Just script it have someone flying the ship that maneuvers less. Shoikd help make combat scenes better.
God I needed this. I've rebuilt preexisting ships sans interiors (I built those from the ground up) but nothing from Zero Queue my friend wanting me to build him a stealthy ship with snipers, so, small grid. Yaaaaay. I've settled on a uboat style and have references for the interior since we're both history conisours (butchered, blech) but good God starting from nothing is a challenge. Hot damn you need more views

Huh what I sometimes do is make a sketch in my squares notebook to get the basic idea of what I'm gonna build then I as I build I make the blueprint for the ship in stages so to speak
somthing i have problem with is detail, i make a cube, throw thrust on it, and i dont know whats next. i want to make a square ish cargo transporter the size of your frigate, but i just make squares
I build based off of the cabin I use and I overthink thinks so it takes me a long time to make a ship and the bigger it is the more I second guess myself I tend to stick to building lightweight looking solar sail ships for transport or even freight

Really good for begginers to watch videos and build guides like this, basic ship building starts of by building "chonky" ships. Keep up the good work m8!

yes I do and I want to start a battle series Where I put ships against each other in a fully loaded survival battle ammo and everything! Just trying to figure out the details of the regulations! Stay tuned for more info thats a great idea!

great vid! im not really a exprienced builder myself , but i feel like that your ships sometimes can use some sharper edges, still a great design tho, keep it up!
ugh at least is 2yo...so what if i bulld the class frigate to have the amount of guns that a battleship has in just 40 blocks but got almost no armor, now frigate, destroyer or battleship? what is it? outdated classes that dont fit SE you need brawler, Tanker, Ranger, explorer ..etc its way better describing the ship type ...
Interesting to see how you stuffed the back end like that. As well as having the hidden reverse thrust. I've still been trying to figure out a nice way to do that. Pretty nice design too.

I honestly find building interiors of small ships to be tough, maybe you could do something like that some time if you haven't already.
