lil fun fact: Before this the 2018 Oscar award nominations were announced and Armie found out he was not nominated bc the producers blew it when they put both armie and michael stuhlbarg for the category, which resulted in neither actors getting nominated.
This caused armie to have a melt down, he got angry and drunk the night before. The following day (day of interview) armie locked himself in his hotel room and refused to do press because at this point he was done with the movie.
Timothee had to go to his room and calm him down and eventually he was able to convince armie to continue with doing the press interviews.

I believe armie and timmie were at odds during this interview. Timmie did not look at armie and very negative body language. Wonder if this was before or after the interview which was probably the same day since the same clothes are worn where armie gives timmie the looks and plays with his ring.

So CMBYNers, notice the seating. Hehehe! Normally nobody comes between Armie and Tim. However, Tim is apart from Armie... this is the same day of the interview in Crema (I think) where they were asked about their summer romances. Tim said, "Who said I had one" or something like that. Armie played with the ring, and tried to distract Tim while he was commenting. I guess Tim had a bit too much of closeness to his dance partner as that day wore on. I think they did 3 interviews that day. Poor Tim! Bad Armie! __Lllater :)
Melanie Wilhelm hi, not quite sure the intent of your comment in re mine. My point was Armie got on Tim's nerve. He does display a bit of an impish side in some of those interviews with Tim. Whether he's acting or being serious apparently Tim didn't appreciate it. From all the interviews you've seen them do, or photogs in how many of them were Armie and Tim not side by side. So for Tim to have the interpreter between them should tell you something about that day. __Lllater :)

Armie Hammer recently admitted he wore the tracksuit as a protest. He was over it once he didn’t get nominated and you can see it at the end when he can’t really look at Timothée when they talk about the Oscars.
You're over-interpreting. There's nothing like that to see here, there's no change of behavior from Armie, and he does look at Timothée, just doesn't stare all the time, and why should he (he didn't earlier, either), and he was very supportive of Timothée all along, including post all and any nominations. He's clearly tired - not surprisingly, with all that travelling that week (from LA to Rome to Paris to London to Crema), plus half the time Italian is being spoken. He's probably just trying to stay awake. And the tracksuits for the week was no big deal, just a bit of fun. They had been promoting the movie for over a year by that time, and sort of finished (for most part) a few days after this with the Crema party.
