Not true, in my opinion the Olympia actually wins out in terms of how it overall supports early team dynamic in Bo2, I’ve been playing that game since 2012 so lemme tell you while m14 is overall better in more games the Olympia does have niche uses that it completely outclasses the m14 at
I remember in my first playthrough that I forgot the burner so Margaret's section was really hard for me. But the game gave me a godly amount of Shotgun ammo instead of the burner, so the game became a cake walk when I'm strolling in the final Jake baker boss with 90 shells.
Personally, the M19 is #1 for me in normal mode, but in Madhouse the Olympia definetly was the go-to. By The Way, you accidentally put the #2 number again for the number one spot. (where was survival knife?)
On my first madhouse run (with no ng+ bonuses) the Olympia was my baby. At the end, through smart useage of the separating agent i had an inventory of heals, grenade launcher ammo and that buck load of shotgun rounds. I was able to just brute force the mines and rush through.
The Neuro rounds are a godsend for the Barn fight on Madhouse. The two fat molded destroyed me everytime until I used them, then just popped them with the shotgun while they’re stumbling.
Honestly I never really had much use for the burner outside of the old house with Margarite because after you defeat her there's no more bugs to worry about, and I honestly found that the flame rounds can do the same job as the burner but much better, especially during the Margarite boss fight. Like after you are done in the Old House you can just put the burner in the item box.
I am recently playing this game after like a year, I ain’t even touch the Pump Action, it stays in that statues hands, I immediately used the repair kit for the M14 DB after I was able to leave the house, probably the best decision I’ve ever made in this game
Circular Saw absolutely slaps. It is possible to beat the game (excluding the last boss) with only the circular saw. Giant Mold Jack is possible with it. When he goes down get behind him and pray you hit the eye on his underside. The rest of his eyes are easy to get.
Bro… I used the knife to save ammo REGULARLY, I legit ignored the survival knife, I actually loved the lower damage to Jib enemies arms and legs, so it has total use outside of dodge masters, but it is still not great, shouldn’t been 13

The Circular Saw is usable when fighting Jack 3rd but its easier just to use it on 1st phase to help save ammo believe me if it wasn't for the Circular saw helping me on 1st phase Jack 3rd i might of started my whole madhouse run over
I disagree. The flamethrower should be much lower. At least the knife is useful in nightmare dlc and the m19 and its clones are actually usable. The burner just sucks overall. Even in madhouse, you never really need to use the burner bec the game gives ample ammo
The anti bio weapon pistol is just kinda mid. Low mag capacity . Low fire rate. High fire power. But the problem is, this is one of the only resident evil games with no gun attachments to upgrade your gun.
Even Clint Eastwood found that out. While filming Sudden Impact, they had to keep a dive team on standby for when Clint threw the piece of shit Automag into the water out of rage from the many jams
To me, ALL the weapons in RE7 suck. They're all bad, some are just.....not as bad as others. There's also no rocket launcher, no grenades in the main campaign, and barely any upgrades. It's just a terrible set of weapons overall imo.
Here is my top 5 list: 1. Olympia shotgun 2. Grenade launcher 3. M1911 (I like it more than the albert for various reasons, it's alot stronger than the G17, has 7 bullets in the mag so you don't have to reload it constantly and it can shoot quite fast. I hate overly clonky guns regardless of power.) 4. Knife. (Sounds dumb, but it's useful for opening boxes, and is amazing against some bosses as a backup. Overall amazing utility) 5. Magnum. (The only reason this is rated so low is because the ammo is so scarse and finding it in every run is a pain. Same goes for the coins, I don't wanna sit there collecting coins all game for it.)
Grenade launcher is the best weapon with neuro rounds for bosses it deals so much DMG and using supplements for making the psychostimulants is just useless if u remember where stuff is

I used the knife a lot.
If you shoot a molded in the knee and knock them down, you can stab them in the head for an easy kill. Works on Madhouse

The knife bailed me out of so many boss fights in madhouse difficulty it’s not my go to weapon but it’s good to fall back on.

Even on Madhouse I mainly use the G17. I stun enemies and walk past, no need to waste shotgun ammo.

I think the knife does come in handy especially on Madhouse. Ammo is scarce and I can't be using my ammo on boxes....
