i have been in a very inspirational mood lately, and i'm loving it. maybe these story videos get boring (if they do, please tell me lmao), but i actually enjoy making them a lot.

The problem with depression is you are constantly thinking of all your worst elements blown up to a hundred. So when something does something to confirm them or worse yet specifically tells you your greats flaws and weaknesses are correct, that nobody likes you, or everyone would be better off without you that really rings true. More so than if said to someone else.

His storyline was so sad but very well written. He was depressed. Maya was his happiness. He was only happy when he was with Maya and Zig took that away from him. Zig made him feel like he wasn't worthy of her or good enough. I love Cam but it's so hard to watch him in pain.

Cam's death honestly felt like the realist thing. like someone i loved actually died. i remember the ep when he died i teared and i could relate to him so much. i miss him to this day. I still watch the fan videos of him. I miss him... if only someone saved him and could of grown to a strong character.

Honestly Cam and Maya were my favorites. They were so sweet together, and I honestly don't get why people like Zig. Zig has been so rude and manipulative, while Cam didn't manipulate Maya and treated her like a princess. He was selfless and sweet and didn't deserve any of the bullying. He deserved to be happy
Because in life, you have people like Zig who are jealous and like the idea of ruining relationships because they aren't able to be in a relationship like them.

Honestly no one is to blame for his suicide. The only one that you could blame is Cam himself. I highly doubt Zig, Dallas or anyone knew about Cam’s mental issues(maybe bar from Alli). He really didn’t get the help he need and to be honest he didn’t seek for help. He thought he could solve his problems by himself when he really couldn’t. Anyone could’ve triggered Cam to commit suicide so it’s not Zig’s fault. Blaming a person for someone’s suicide is just wrong because no way would someone have known what was going on. Let’s acknowledge that depression is a real thing instead of pointing the finger at someone.
You can tell from the very beginning how depressed he is that fact that nobody saw it till now is crazy.

Why Eli did feel bad made sense considering what he saw and when he said later the reasoning but I get what you mean what zig said should've haunted him way longer than it actually did.

Maya's break down at the end is what brought me to tears. I've lost people to suicide and it just really kills the people around you once you're gone.

Cam literally opened the path for degrassi awareness of self help and making sure events like his never happen again. I would argue that his character was one of the most important if not THE most important character in all of the series. Its a shame it had to happen to him, but he is the reason it hopefully won't ever be happening again. The problem is....why they made Maya attempt it...that confuses me. Because that to me makes it seem like she never cared about him at all.

They made her attempt it to portray how suicide cases like this can negatively affect the people close to them, temporarily or in Maya's case, permanently.
One of the warning signs for suicide is that someone near them has taken their life . It is contagious; when I lost someone very close to suicide I very nearly followed him. I remember being excited at the fact that I would die one day.
It did not provide awareness.... Like Zig and MAya....
THIS FREAKING HURTS. cam was such a sweetheart, he was just really alone, depressed, feeling horrible and needed HELP, I love camaya and hate the way Maya forgot all about him and dated the person that pushed him over the edge. :(
I finished Season 3 and in an episode Maya mentioned her boyfriend committing suicide and people said it was Cam. I'm so sad now and Zig is such a jerk.
It wasn't just zig that made Cam do it. Suicide is from many things that build up. Zig may have triggered him to do it but even if he didn't he would have snapped at anytime. considering no one really helped he would have done it anyway.
After zig said to him to get out of her life forever that's when cam starts feeling it again. He did try to kill himself when he was on the banister and he fell hurt his arm. He even said he wish he go to sleep and never wake up. He was obviously depressed, homesick, all lonely with no one there for him, no friends and been in a lot of pressure. Sometimes when kids feel like that they think of releasing their pain in commit suicide or self destructive way or many other ways because they have no choice. The could be zigs fault partly for saying that to him and trying to come between him and maya but not for making Cam killed himself. Hes only happy with Maya, they made such a cute couple and now it's gone. Poor Cam I missed him so much already.

And Maya was literally his only source of happiness in his life. And when Zig told him to get out of her life, forever. He took her away from him. It was because of Zig, that he realized “I’m not good enough for her. I’m not worthy to be with someone like her. Maybe I’m not good enough to be alive even.” And it didn’t help at all that Zig had felt no remorse or even said sorry after Cam’s death. It’s like it had no affect on him at all. Zig is truly an asshole and it’s not fair that he can be happy and be with Maya while Cam got tortured because of people like Zig.

Even though the new seasons are good I recommend watching the the older ones cause the characters were great and the storylines were more realistic and were played out longer. If you don't want to watch from season 1 which I would cause the characters are my favorite, then season 8 is a good place to start cause that's when the seniors in this video like Clare and Alli start( even though Clare was introduced earlier on cause she's a characters younger sister)

Okay, this is literally one of the best Degrassi video EVER. Seriously, 5 star, 10/10 and a round of applause to you.
I'm not sure who's reaction was sadder, Dallas's or Maya. They both took it the harder and his words cut like a knife. But her complete breakdown was shocking the first time I saw it. This was one of the best arcs in Degrassi history.

This is so sad. 😫 Cam went through so much. He was treated so badly. And he was on the edge of breaking, and Zig was the final straw. He couldn't take it anymore. Uhhh it's so sad! God I hate zig sm. I was wondering if they would ever continue on with it one day now that Next Class is over. I mean they could of easily continued on. Hunter, Frankie, Lola, Shay, Yael, Baaz,the other friend, Saad plus Esme failed so she would have stayed on most likely as well. Idk it seems like Degrassi could be a never ending loop if they had wanted lol

if i were maya i'd be crying all the time... missing him like crazy... felling like my life was over... Cam's death was so incredibly hard on me. I have been crying for days and this is just a show. Whenever I think of him or picture his face I break down... I don't get maya and it angers me how she acted, but i guess we all need a way to deal... but if i were maya and i got that text, i would have run anywhere and everywhere too find my baby... this video is so wonderful and I cried my eyes out. Campbell was my favorite character and I hate that the writers knew when they wrote up the character, they were going to kill him off... if they knew right then, they shouldn't have made his character so lovable and relatable. I am forever broken by Degrassi. I can't watch anymore because I'll think of Cam and break down like an idiot. Why am I this way i don't know... but it's like someone I know and love passed and I couldn't do a thing....

Cha Eun Sang Maya was just confused and angry. She didn't know how to react. I mean suicide is definitely a tough issue. Degrassi made his character so lovable, because they wanted it to make an impact. They pretty much want that with all things that happened.
I’d say cam’s suicide traumatized her, a lot of the time traumatized people don’t react the way we expect them too. Her boyfriend killed himself and she didn’t see it coming, she was angry he did this as well.

this show was so fucking real man. it captured everyone’s POV after cams death and what they were going through. eli, maya, dallas. everyone who was involved in cams life was going through it one way or another. this show taught me a lot.. also brought me a looottt of tears
I think it sucks that campbell was depressed and every day people hurt him and even after he killed himself because everyone hated campbell was still being hated on even after what everyone did to him
part of me still loves Cam’s storyline because it’s so fucking important, how depression can really go unnoticed. but a bigger part of me wished to see his character develop, may quit the team and focus on something else to balance out the negativity in his mind.

Hey honestly, keep making these story videos with degrassi characters. They're amazing and just so nostalgic. You have the perfect moments, the right music, timing, and effects. These are just sublime and I appreciate the effort you put into these videos. They're great, and you're great for making them! They won't get boring I promise you. When I first saw the miles video it hit me hard as far as relation to my life with his as a character. And I feel like fate brought me to your two videos. Sorry for the long comment, I'm just a passionate guy and love these type of videos. I just wish I knew how to make them because they seem fun lol

He was constantly being bullied by his team and then that jerk Zig. All Cam needed was help,love, kindness, and support. I literally stopped watching after he was gone

Cam's story is honestly the most heartbreaking one I've ever seen on Degrassi.
I just recently lost one of my close friends, Bailey, to suicide. I am more than heartbroken and I can't even manage how Maya felt after Cam died. I'm also extremely heartbroken knowing how much pain she was in when she passed. Cam struggled and fought as long as he could. The similarities of Maya and my friend Bailey make me have tears in my eyes every time I think about it. Anyway, this story seriously touches my heart. and a huge thanks to the writers.
Could you make one of these for Maya after season 3 because her character development is one of the best.

Maya's reaction was genuine...like i get its acting, but i acted the same way. When i got the news that my friend was gone, i said the we exact same thing 'but i saw her yesterday' and i was mad, because i saw everyone crying over her and u hated them, cause they said bad things about her when she was alive. Honestly hate people and what they did to her. 😞 I obviously didn't trash her infront our school, all i did was look at the last place we saw each other and broke down, knowing that i was a loser, a loser who failed to see how much pain she was in.....please love each other and pay attention to each other. Stay in contact, listen to them, and talk to a trusted adult ♥️

I just cried for 9:09 minutes straight. This was such a good storyline all those years ago, still is today. Degrassi never fails.
I never watched this show but by seeing this I really understood what Cam was going through! He didn't like what he was doing, he was just trying to impress the guys:( this is so sad
