This is when Degrassi was still great when it was on Teen Nick, before it became Next Class. I feel like Next Class with only 10 episodes per season they don't have enough time to tell the story like they did before when it was on a big network, seasons used to be 20 to 40 plus episodes. l like Degrassi, but it's not as great as it once was. I like Tristan, and Miles together. Also I feel like on Degrassi there is " too many relationships " and I feel like it's glamorized to a point, which isn't good.
Thank you someone said it I love Degrassi but now that it's on Netflix it just went downhill. The storylines aren't that good and the only new character I like is Esme. They need each more than ten episode because a story can't be told in ten episodes
Next class wasn’t great but it brought some closure to characters we cared a lot about like miles. And I feel like they tried at least to keep the show’s feel and themes while also adapting to modernism which is understandable. A lot of shows stay the same and that’s great but it’s brave that they tried to progress while keeping its integrity. Yeah it falls flat compared to the og but it’s definitely not bad and still covers important issues with much more grace than ridiculous shows like 13 reasons why.
I can't imagine what Maya is going through. Having a boyfriend that's wants to kill himself and then had one that actually did. No wonder she considered killing herself to. It must have been terrible.

he started acting so different after the break up with maya!! he loved that girl you see he’s a reck now i think he was just using tristian to get over maya for the time being because when they first started dating you could see he was obviously not interested at all he seemed so much happier with maya fast forward senior year he started getting with all these different girls and blowing off tristian well i think of it as maya was the love of his life honestly he loved her he started acting out when they broke up and fell into a bad depression on top of that his abuse from his dad which maya knew about and he was completely fine with maya being there for him, in the last episode of degrassi next class which was the graduation he walked past maya and grace and said “ until maya totally broke my heart” if you really put it all together Miles wasn’t a train wreck, he wasn’t smoking, doing drugs, getting with random girls. maya made him a better version of himself

Tristan and Miles meet the first episode of season 13, which is - exactly - in Paris. Degrassi: Next Class is now at season 3, which is actually season 17 of the whole series, so there are 5 seasons with Tristan and Miles out there right now.
I recommend that those who started with the Next Class series should start at episode 33 in season 11 of the, The Next Generation series as that is when Maya, Zig and Tristan first start attending Degrassi. During that episode of TNG its starts off as a brand new school year for all the students of Degrassi so new viewers won't have to look back or keep up to previous episodes of season 11. This will save a lot of time for viewers who are coming from the Next Class series as the only characters that they need background for are Maya, Zig, Tristan, Miles, etc. And that whole graduation class (Of the Next Class) first appear in episode 33 in season 11 of TNG. When he entered the show, he was the lady man and flirted with everyone, but he ended up falling in love with Maya. But because he had mental problems and issues with his family, he acted all weird and messed up so Maya broke up with him because it remembered her of her last boyfriend Campbell, who comitted suicide. Shortly after that, Miles realized he was bisexual and fell in love with Tristan. Maya however finally fell in love with Zig, who has been in love with her for over 6 seasons (I believe) but she always chose someone else over him until the last season of The Next Generation and the first of Next Class. I'm pretty sure miles and his family is introduced at the start of the 13th season and Maya and Tristan towards the middle of season 11 so if you want to start from the start of some of this cast season 11 but if you want to watch it from the start of Miles season 13 :)

I never understood why Maya and Miles happened. When she told Zig she would wait for him for him. Then she dated Miles and I was confused.
