I followed the clues, watched the scenery, trails and such and im pretty confident I found lake 2 & 3. Thanks Mike for improving my detective skills. Tight lines.
You're a scholar and a gentleman Mike! Killer views on this one, thanks for bringing us along. That little side table I think needs to make it's way into my kit as well.
Beautiful up there in the fall. One of my favorite areas. We usually camp at other nearby lakes, but might have to check these out. After a quick search, I found out that last lake is drained annually and is not stocked. The second lake reportedly has Lahonton cutthroats and brookies.
Was there last weekend and boy do the lakes look different. So many campers (mid July go figure). Every spot you showed had campers and most were there for extended periods judging by the big trailers, rv's, side by sides, kayaks, rafts, pop-ups, etc. You must have hit it mid-week in the late fall. These are no secret during the summer. Are there even fish in those lakes? They looked much greener and murkier this year. Only lake you need 4wd to get to is that last one and it is only because of the one steep dry creek crossing. Beautiful country either way.
I was there mid October I think on a weekend, and yes I dont doubt it is much different in the summer. Thanks for sharing what you found. Agreed on the last lake needing 4WD.
Nice trip, I always feel so blessed to have this stunning area in our back yard. Definitely thinking about a diesel heater to open up more cold weather camping.
Sorry about the fish not biting but great spots and more than enough clues to explore from. Thats a beautiful area and Hope to make it down there when I get back stateside.
I think I've been going to lake 1 since I was a kid and started a backpacking trip there as well, but that was twenty five years ago and the last time I car camped there was 11 years ago so I'm not 100% sure 😂
Another great video! I have boondocked many times to the West of Blue Lakes Road, before reaching any lakes. Don't have 4wd, so can’t get to the great places you do. Keep up the great content!
@@juanmcsweeney4503 Thanks for subscribing! Yes it probably would be better to have the supply hose on the other side. On the plus side it has never failed me in over two years of use!
Love your video MIke. And what a cool wok for cooking. But where are the green vegetables? If I was sharing that lamb and potato meal with you which btw Looked amazing! I would have brought some of my homemade applesauce to enhance lamb and potatoes. Love following your adventures!
Great Video Mike!!!! I enjoy watching this format of the different locations you go. Gives me ideas on my next camping spots seeing I'm only 3-4hrs away 😉. Definitely subscribed to RhinoOffroad he has great content.
This is a great video I know the area you’re camping in but which lake is the first one I do not recall that Shoreline can you share that with me thanks
If you mean the black folding table, it is a Summit Adventure Gear table from REI, awesome table! The round cooking skottle is from Tembo Tusk. Thanks for the question!
Hi Kirby, I have to respectfully disagree. I spend countless hours researching potential camp sites on Google Earth and GaiaGPS along with trying to geo-locate other UA-cam videos for camp spot ideas. I give more than enough clues in this video on the locations and with a few minutes on Google Earth you should be able to find at least one lake, if not all of them. Taking the time to do this not only makes you better at finding your own camp sites, if makes you "take ownership" of the location you found and hopefully treat it that way accordingly (leave it better than you found it). If you are still having problems finding them I am more than happy to give more clues if you reach out to me on Instagram. I get just the opposite response so often and have to consider what happened to funnel lake in Coyote Flats. Thanks for watching!

The cooking platform is called the Tembo Tusk Skottle, very popular and for good reason! Thanks for watching!
Love this lake, frequently camp here. One of my favorites. Suggest checking out the lake about 3 miles south of this one.
Thank you! I do plan to go back this summer so will check it out!

Hi Tom. Like I said in the video, I don’t really share exact locations but I will give you one hint the first lake is north of Highway 88.

dont gatekeep camp sites... defeats one of the points of doing this, being part of the community
