Thanks for the work putting this together. Great drone and video work, as usual. It's a reminder that my obsession to explore is real and important. The West and Southwest US are so vast and amazing! We are truly lucky to live in this amazing country, and I NEED to see more of it!

Thanks for a great video, cleaning up after others, and not leaving the trail. Former USFS firefighter, Forester, and OHV operator.

Great commentary! I almost don’t need to watch the video with the voice description. The video work is awesome too!

Another great one, Brian! As a life-long Northern Californian, I overland because I was raised on it. My parents taught the value being in nature and what brings to my soul. Now I have gathered 3 options for getting out there: a 2006 Jeep LJ, a 2011 Tundra 4x4, and a 16 ft. high clearance, boondock trailer. We can rough it or glamp it but, we always have to do it! :)

Thank you! That's so great to have a couple different options for getting out there. Hopefully I'll see you out on the trail someday! Thanks for watching and thank you for commenting.

I know that area, it is very nice. Are you using the DJI tracking in the moving scenes? My Mavic 2 does not do a great job of avoiding trees and struggles with elevation changes; just curious how you do it. Thanks for the video!

Great video! Watched it all. I overland because I am stuck behind a desk 9-5. A fellow Californian, but I grew up in the mountains of New Hampshire and need to be outside as much as possible on the weekends

Wow that was very relaxing to watch. Great editing and drone footage. Thanks for sharing!!!
I do it to get out in nature off the beaten path and enjoy friends and trails. Gets me away from the to-do list at home. 😄

Great video as always! I overland to get away from the city (Phoenix) and enjoy the silence you get on solo trips, as well as seeing areas of the state that you just wouldn't see

We didn't use to call it "Overlanding" It was just called "Off Roading". It was always my sanctuary. I would refer to coming back into the city ( SOCAL) as returning to the soup. I wrote a poem about it. Someday I want to do a video to my poem.
Great video once again Brian. Thanks for taking us along on your journey.

Brian I’m a new subscriber from Canada. I’m loving your content. Please keep them coming and don’t change a thing. You should reach out to Sean from a channel here in Canada called The Story till now. It would be awesome to see you two in a video together. 👍👍👍

Awesome video. I’m starting my UA-cam channel in the overlanding niche and I love to see how others edit videos and your fade in and out of clips without black is something I’m going to implement. I have some videos that I threw up awhile ago without any edits but now i that I am learning DaVinci resolve on the fly I’m going to edit some videos that I recently took while going to expo west. Love getting out and exploring. You going to Overland expo Pnw? I gonna be working with Kakadu next weekend and hopefully I will see you up there.

I think you summed it up well Brian. Vehicle supported camping (Overlanding) is something larger than me. I started doing it in my early 20’s, (in a Nissan Pickup) and haven’t been able to stop since. For 30 years, I used a ground tent, and very basic equipment, but sleeping on the ground became all but impossible as I approached 50. I also like to sleep in a different place every night, and deploying and taking down a dusty ground tent really started to get old. About 5 years ago, I purchased a Jeep, and a rooftop tent. It’s been like “Glamping” since. Exploring the west just keeps me grounded, and straightens me out. I try to get out as often as possible. I just don’t feel “right” without being on a trip, or planning my next one. When diesel heaters become a bit more dependable, I’m gunna start working on my winter camping game.

I hear ya! And feel the same way. I have one of the Hcalory heaters and it’s been working great for me, and they’re cheap. Just needed to do a couple simple modifications to it but it’s been pretty dependable
