    For getting rid of vfd noise what should be done?, Installing powerline filter as input and for output ferrite beads? or alone powerline filter as input is enough for it? Or any other configuration is to be done? Please reply 🙏

      Thank you for your support. The proper uses of the correct double shielded cables is the only sure way to mitigate EMI from VFD's, and spindles. Thank you,

      @@corvetteguy50 One more thing, how this sheilded wire needs to be connected, i mean for other steppers, limit switches, it just directly needs to be attached to the ground port from the machine ground junction side, for vfd and spindle, is it like the ground of the vfd surface needs a seperate ground wire to this body junction and the sheilded wire for vfd to motor, needs to be attached from this machine junction and other end to the spindle? Also if we are connected this sheilded wire at motor end, since the motor is also grounded at different end, so wouldn't that make a ground loop? since 2 different zero points are established?

    From how many sides does the Sheilded wire of limit switches, Motors, and vfd to spindle should be connected, both the sides, only at one side with star point configuration or what? Please help 🙏

      Thank you for your support. The shield drains on all cables should be connected at only one end of the cable which is to be allocated to the ground buss on the controller, and the ground terminal for the VFD's power, and spindle power cable.
      Thank you,
      Vince

      @@corvetteguy50 Thank you very much for replying, just a simple query, i read many cnc forums out on fb and all, just for vfd they said it should be grounded at both ends (wire from vfd to spindle) is it true?

    • @corvetteguy50
      @corvetteguy50  7 місяців тому +1

      These internet guru's claim this after 3 decades of grounding only one end of a double shielded cable because all of a sudden VFD cable manufacturers in the US designed a kit they claim is designed exclusively for this.
      The super interesting thing is there's no actual claims let alone proof of a VFD being damaged from only grounding one end of the shield drain from the spindle's power cable, or spindle itself.
      This is completely verifiable with a simple open Google search on the topic.
      The easiest way to "spot the not" is to review the internet for consistency. Its really odd in all the world of CNC users not one has claimed for this to have happened isn't it?
      If this was indeed an issue then it wouldn't have just come to light now, but 30 years ago as the EMI produced from the hardware is no different. They can't explain it when asked that question.
      I speak as an engineer, and a vendor of double shielded cables with my eBay store as proof with my specialty in robotic automation, and after over 1000 sales a year on my spindle cable DIY packages, and directing my clients to ground only one end of the shield drain at the VFD end as we did since their inception they never have come back with any issues proven once again by me feedback that's verifiable through eBay in which I have no control over.
      The truth is there if these online guru's care to pay attention to details, but forums are no place to gather accurate information from verifiable sources as you have no idea who these people are, or where they're getting they're information from.
      Thank you,
      Vince
