Ola, the IPad app, Mooer GELabs, almost copy how a kemper profiles an amp. I have profiled several of my amps (savage, 2203kk, 5150iii) with great success and with the new firmware is posible to download these profiles from the GELabs cloud into GE200,250 and 300. That's a incredible value for the price.
Hey Ola, so this is unrelated but I must say it- "The sun and the moon" Is such an amazing song, I actually went to play hide and seek In a forest with my friends (I'm 14, just so you know this isn't some grown ass man playing hide and seek in the forest haha), and my spot was an abandoned treehouse and I just sat there with my headphones, looking at the sky and admiring the song. It kind of sounds as if Opeth went instrumental, and I love it! Thank you for making such a great song ❤️!
I have a Pod HD500 and a GE-200. I've played around with a Helix, but not the GE-300/lite. I'd recommend it, I think it sounds better and is simpler to get a decent tone with when compared to the (admittedly older) POD line. I haven't played the Pod Go yet, and I believe they are right around the same price. If you're looking at any one of these floor modelers you should definitely give this a try.
I like the omission of a connected exp pedal. Good table top unit. I believe the tone capture could have been replicated exact with just a bit of tweaking. Impressive. It's on my list.

Hi Ola, my only problem with all these units that have a load of buttons on is after a while they simply just stop working, you have to press them twenty times before they work and the button you need the most is the one that normally stops working first. It is the same with all these DAW controllers and stuff. I have had quite a Few in my time. lol.........Thanks for the great review, all the best.
I bought GE200 after watching your review and yesterday I bought GE250 since I wanted an upgrade. I hope this one is pricey so I don't even have to consider it!
@@AuntieTrichome With GE200 you come a long way. I don't think the amps sound better on GE250. The main selling points for me was. * Better sounding IR/Cabs. 2048 points on GE250 vs 512 points on GE200. 512 is a bit low in 2020. * Supports reamping over USB * MIDI so I can switch presets in my DAW
@@AuntieTrichome yea these things are definitely capable, Trey from Gear Gods once said a friend of his did an US tour with the ge200 because he didn’t need lots of switches and liked the tone.
I've got the GE200 and now a Helix LT. The GE200 is great for the price point, but I feel this one is a bit meh and for a couple of hundred quid or so you can nab a Helix LT which is far superior. Good tones nonetheless!
👍 it's the way Ola testing, nice, sometimes he's going over the top, but when he finds out, he'll roll back... I find back to make music and buy tons of equipment again, all the fun is back. Thx🎵
the thing i found about the mooer units is that they lack quality in the compressors and modulation fx, which are done way better, for example, in zoom units for a fraction of the price. You would think that a good compressed and even sounding clean tone is the easiest thing to achieve, but with the mooer, it actually requires more tinkering than a hi gain sound.

This is awesome, let alone considering the potential price of it. That tone capture, in my opinion at least, would be close enough that on tour, coming out of FOH, it would do the job brilliantly and remove the need for a load of spacious, heavy backline. Goddamn!
Hey Ola just wanted to give you some thanks, after having the really awful Marshall mg250dfx (don't ask I bought it when I was like 14) I saved up a bit and got myself a Boss Katana Artist and I absolutely love it, your old Katana vids definitely helped me come to the decision to get it and I've had a blast with it ever since. Such amazing tone and options for a killer price (I got mine on sale too).
I wouldn't gig with one of these things (remember live shows?), but I did buy a HoTone Ampero for practicing/playing at home through powered speakers and, with enough tweaking, it's really nice sounding. All these things, including modeling amps, do some things really well. Unfortunately, there's not ONE of these units that does "everything" well, regardless of PRICE. So buy a bunch of them and just use the best sounds on each! :-)

the one thing about all these floor boards for live is beer. Nothing like the crowd tossing a beer on stage to ruin your entire gig. Amazing that ten years ago we would be paying 4k for the same quality though

I have a Pod HD500 and a GE-200. I've played around with a Helix, but not the GE-300/lite. Despite it's Lite version it also has TWO DSPs (SHARC) just as previous GE-300 has. And that's cool !!!
