So many people worked so hard on this video, and the results were incredible. Thank you, Meg. Your performance was... breathtaking. The scenes with those contacts are either really cool, or really terrifying. I've never been able to decide which. Brian, Nikki, Joe, Chris... Never looked so creepy. What an amazing vision! I can't imagine what this cost to put together, but its worth every frame.

it's nice to have a little secret group you can enjoy before they get ruined by popularity. (maybe just a little sorry/guilty-for being so selfish hoping they don't get too huge, idk, they do deserve all the fame coming to them), what a great freekin' song though...yeah and i know they've been around for years, but i like em' just as they are.

The music video for nightlight is really well done. The actress in this video gives an amazing performance and her voice is really hypnotizing! Silversun Pickups sound great on both this version and their acoustic KEXP version. x
I know right? This is a great short film in and of itself. It makes you want to know the entire story instead of just implications.
If there were an MTV like the early 80's, this would go monster and this band would be packing arenas. This video would be on heavy rotation. The song bores into your head , "ladies and gentlemen!" The Better Nature album is much more cohesive and potentially accessible to the mainstream than previous ones, several unbelievable songs there. Their best yet.

I remember seeing them at a FREE show here in STL. They rocked, but unfortunately the concert was cut a bit short due to a huge thunderstorm that was coming. It was an outside show, and the lightning in the background was like a natural light show, fucking bad ass!!
I remember that. I was so pissed. That was the same weekend that Kings of Leon stopped playing cause of bird shit...or so they say, haha. SSPU rocked it at the Peabody.

Love the bass line that fades in over the narration at the beginning, like a heartbeat, even skipping a beat.
On first listen it sounds a long way from being one of their best songs, but am so damn glad to have them back, been so starved of decent new albums this year.

I love all the little sonic nods to earlier songs with riffs and samples in the background. Great song, I have hoped for more of a direction back to heavier instrumental focused songs( if that makes any sense) similar to the first two albums and less of the electronic influence but I'm definitely not mad at this at all. It's just the drummer is so flippin good and this song sort of sounds like more of a robotic version of his stuff. Still not bad at all! I just love these guys so much. Can't wait for the album and the tour. Haha whoooo!!!

I agree. I'm a little torn on the whole overly cinematic music video thing. I love well done music videos but there's way too many out there that try to be like films in their own right in my opinion. I just kind of miss the old days where you got some simple imagery with the actual song instead of this wannabe HBO fuckery.
