I saw Nikki, Brian, and Christopher back in the 2000's. I was walking home from school (near Silverlake) and they were across the street chilling in front of a house. I was too shy to walk up to them but Nikki noticed me staring and she smiled back at me. I had never blushed so much in my life.

Nikki uses the “pinky rest” technique to mute the other strings by resting her pinky over them while she picks the strings, a technique I thought I seen her use in the “Well Thought Out Twinkles” music video which was really hard to catch considering it’s all coated with special effects so I came to this video to confirm it and I was right! A good technique to use when you’re starting off, I’ve evolved to a flat fist but this one is just as effective! (I don’t know who needed to hear that.) Great music video, loved the concept!

SSPU the most underrated band in music history
Second most
Drscottyjones and the first?

They're not underrated when they're combined song views are around 50 million.

4:10 man its 2024, I’m in my early thirties and I still get goosebumps every time I get to this point in the song..
12 years later and this song still gives me goosebumps.
Man I only just found this song but I get this crazy nostalgia just listening to it..the sound of a better time
I run through their whole catalog at least once a year- such a great, distinctive sound.
In 2009 I, a high school freshman boy, rocked low cut brown converse because of this video and Nikki Monninger. Most underrated bassist.
Seriously, do these guys do anything that isn't perfect? I've been lucky to see them a few times live, one of the few bands that sound even better performing than recorded. True musicians!
One of the most powerful "this marriage is breaking up" song i have ever heard..
you could see it as a breakup song, but to me this sounds more like a song about aging, becoming your own man/woman, accepting your past and letting go of old hangups (especially with *drumroll* your family!), that sorta thing
But it I think how it's also about being close to your family can making moving on harder but overall worth it
Stop the season stop the sting
A plastic mic a broken string
Infected wound from a rusty ring
Soon you'll be there too
Kissing families can't recall
A program to derail us all
Forgotten prison it's been safe 'til now
It's no wonder that we did it this way
Keep looking forward on paths sideways
It's everything that is connected and beautiful
And now i know just where i stand
Move on
Roll along
Not today
It's everything that is connected and beautiful
And now i know just where i stand
Thank god you're heart is too close
This can be the bitter end
I know it wont
Well someone said i made a mistake
Kept looking forward on paths sideways
It's everything that is connected and beautiful
And now i know just where i stand
Seasons always shift too late
Spent too much time now on paths sideways
Everything that is connected and beautiful
And now i know just where i stand
Thank god it's over....
