I'm not saying Gumi hasn't *possibly* cheated other times but in this case she had more than enough evidence to deduce DK is pestilence. People are just so used to this lobby *not* paying attention that Gumi *listening* to what is being said and putting 2 and 2 together looks too impressive lol. Remember Steve announcing he's going to kill 3 people and admitting to being Arsonist and still not getting voted? It seems like Dumbdog, Hafu, 5up, Janet and Gumi are the only ones *really* paying attention.

I don’t think so
Hafu’s lobbies started off as the “sweaty” lobbies back in the day, when Covid was around and Among Us was on top. These days, Hafu, and most of the other members in her lobby have relaxed, and now they only play for shits ands giggles because they really don’t want to be playing at all, but it gets a lot of views on all their channels. Some players, Kara, Courtilly, Gumi, 5up, and Dumbdog play in more serious lobbies half the time as kind of more “professional” players. Most of them kinda let their hair down in the Hafu lobbies and don’t sweat it, but Gumi can’t ignore what’s right in front of her face. If she was there when Steve announced he was arsonist and who he would kill and no one noticed, Gumi definitely would have noticed.

I will once again say I don’t think Gumi was cheating this game. She clearly spells out her logic and DumbDog was being obvious - I’m sure Kara/Courtilly would have picked up on it if they were present.
HOWEVER, do I think it was a bit lame to push out on 9 before DumbDog/DK get a chance to have fun? Maybe.
Her reasoning was out of context though. She said that Dumbdog called Pesti out of nowhere, when in reality it was Dumbdog being accused of Pesti by 3 other people and denying it.
I do think it was shity to hit the button because she was "afraid to die". It's among us

DumbDog during that moment quite literally says "I can confirm I am not the pestilence" and when asked why, he says, "I don't want to say it, that's spoiling the bag", but also with that and DumbDog blatantly asking DK how many people are "clean", it's just blatant lovers with pestilence (also only one person ever mentioned him as pestilence which he immediately reassured isn't possible)

Many times he has reassured people that he wasn't the imposter or glitch while actually being those things. The bad roles don't just come out and say you caught me I'm actually an imposter or pestilence. Denying that you're a bad role does not clear you, that's among us 101. Dumbdog could have been pestilence and/or DK could have been jester.

@@francisjomergallardo4593There is only one neutral role that can have assistance and that’s Pestilence. Janitor wouldn’t need to be asked to clean, they know how to just follow their teammate to play. The only logical conclusion is DD had an ability that allows him to help a role which can only mean plaguebearer. Interacting with other roles while you’re infected allows you to infect others. It was pretty obvious they were lovers so the only other conclusion on roles was Plaguebearer.
DumbDog and DK were being obvious. DumbDog literally says he “KNOWS” that DK isn’t Pestilence. How could he know anything about anyone? 1. Pestilence hasn’t even killed yet, it was also safe to assume no one had even made it to Pestilence yet since it was still pretty early. And it’s possible that the neutral wasn’t even Pestilence. 2. The comment to DK made it clear they were probably lovers, I would have deduced he was asking so he could know who to “target” next. I wouldn’t be positive on why/how he could target someone, but it does insinuate they’re lovers and that he has the ability to spread something. Pestilence is the only neutral role that can have assistance from another role to “spread” the disease. It kinda boils down to basic logic on how the roles work. Lovers and Pestilence was the most likely combo.

Dumbdog made it obvious, but most of the people had stopped paying attention to his wording by then- only Gumi is smart enough to listen to entire meetings.
As an aside, if Dumbdog merely asked DK who he is suspicious of, they could have passed the information in plain sight and no one would be the wiser- his specific use of “clean” was a huge red flag.
Everyone is forgetting that DK literally admitted he had a cooldown in that last meeting before Gumi even spoke lol
they were lovers. he could have just typed it to him after the meeting where no one could see it. but i think he enjoys flaunting it right in front of everyone. didnt work out for him this time.

Whether or not she cheated, you should know not to drop hints in meetings about your role when she’s around. Other players can be distracted, but Gumi doesn’t miss these things for one reason or another.
It's more of Gumi cheating than her pay8ng attention. It's the reason they don't play with her. You can see that they already know she cheats by them laughing and almost checking when saying she's always right

@cajah88 I was less diagnosing her and more making fun of the fact that there are other explanations on why she notices so many details without jumping to cheating. I'm neurodivergent myself, and the way she notices stuff and talks just reminds me of how some of my friends think and talk. She's clearly a very detail oriented person who focuses on certain stuff to the exclusion of others and since she always has very plausible reasons for why she can guess what's happening and the cheating stuff rubbed me the wrong way a bit.

Fr. But I don't think it's that people are dumb, it's that they let things slide for content and avoid meta susses to let it play out. Gumi is newer to this lobby so she just states the obvious, but people like 5up, hafu, and DumbDog hold back for the sake of content. Like whenever reactor is called early, it's probably dk, but no one will say that just to keep it interesting, but gumi definitely would call dk out. Something like that
@@TheDailyEgg Gumi was literally part of the original lobbies and a constant member of the 5up/Steve (+DK) lobbies where she often helped to keep the group afloat. She's always played like this but it only seems to upset people during these "reunion" lobbies.

@@cajah88 well I know she played with them before, but she hadn't played with them as a regular like hafu, Janet, dk, Steve, dumbdog, 5up, even ellum and Koji amount of times. She wasn't as familiar with the way they play nowadays, which is not as sweaty and ignoring obvious meta. But she conformed more to their style as she played more with their newer style

Bit of a nerd moment, but I didn't realize that it was an older game until I heard Steve say "what a shame he can't go to Tokyo" after the 1st meeting. I'm pretty sure he's talking about Demon1, who, at the time, didn't have the necessary papers to go to Masters Tokyo if EG qualified for it (although he did end up going). I'm assuming the clip he watched was the last round of Split vs NRG (based on the timeline).
But yeah, always fun to look back at these games.

I don't think it actually would work like that. I think Pestilence always wins even if the imposter has a shield. Kinda like how a shielded sheriff can still misfire. I haven't seen for myself but I think in that situation 5up would still die.

It was pretty obvious. Dumbdog assuring that he can't be Pestilence, something he can't possibly know unless he is allied with the Pestilence, which can't be possible without being Lovers.
i don't think she was cheating, but i do think it was mean spirited of her to button there... pestilence takes ages & they had already clarified in a meeting no one was done, so she could have just waited then guessed it in the next meeting someone else calls.
I think most people could put 2 and 2 together after hearing DumbDog that meeting. Though, I'm pretty sure DD was trying to seem so obvious, that people would think he's baiting them (which Ellum clearly fell for)

@@jokojabo everyone knows their own role, not each others role. Only lovers and Imposter partners know their allies and their roles at the start of the game. Lovers do have to communicate to each other but they get a private text chat to do so.
So Dumbdog declaring so boldly that he can't be Pestilence indicates two things.
1. He knows the third party role, which is unaffiliated usually, IS Pestilence. Otherwise why would you single out Pestilence? There could have been any number of third parties from Glitch to Juggernaut. But he both acknowledged and confirmed a Pestilence was in the game
2. He knows the identity of the Pestilence, indicating an allied relationship which can only be lovers
If Jester is ex target and gets voted what happens?

In all seriousness, I don't know or really care if Gumi cheats/has cheated so long as the lobby has fun with her around. I've seen comments that hafu banned her from the lobby for cheating, and I'd like to know if that's true or just speculation.
Sorry but that's not cheating. Steve has said for quite a while now that he will shoot anyone who goes into office round 1 cuz he finds it sus. He has done it many times, and it has failed as well. He didn't "know" anything, and Steve seems a bit too carefree to GAF about trying to win all the time by cheating.
For that other bit, no clue about whether or not Gumi has cheated in the past, so I'd probably just not say anything since nothing good comes of spreading rumors that you heard from UA-cam comments.
Ze hasn't been in the lobby for even longer than Gumi. Was he banned? It's been even longer since Talia has played. Banned? How about Tina? She hasn't played in the Morning Lobby since 2021! Most likely Gumi just doesn't want to play anymore. She doesn't wake up by 10 am and most of her streams are late at night from what I've seen.

@@doctorcoz1935Ze wasn't banned, he "retired" from Among Us back in August of 2023 to focus on other games and such, he needed a break and to do something different. He still streams though, Town of Salem and Leathal Company and other games. He did come back to AU briefly when the Fungle was released and plays here and there every now and then but it is no longer his main content.
Guys listen, dk, Steve, even Janet and others have often "cheated" aka read chat, undeafened or stream sniped and no one cares. And the reason we don't care is because they're just playing casually with friends for fun. It's not a tournament. HOWEVER, this is also the precise reason why accusing Gumi of cheating is so funny to me. 😂
I have to come clean, this is one of my guilty pleasures. I love saying Gumi cheats. 😆
There is now way Gumi always knows these roles without having a separate stream up or looking at chat. No way you can convince me she doesn’t cheat every time

I tend to agree. I also think reverse engineering logic is more likely than figuring out that DD and DK were lovers and DK was pest. Can't tell 100% either way though imo

Gumi's logic is as clear as it gets, they tried to make as obvious as anything that:
1) DD knew Dk's role
2) DD "could confirm" that he wasnt especifically pestilence and like Gumi said, that's weirdly especific, especially the way he said it.
3) DD and Dk were acting like a pair: DD asked Dk "Who's clean?" and Dk answered "None" and they started to joke around to pass it as funny banter after they were already very obvious.
Knowing that, how much roles can you think that fit with those known things? Yup, Plague/Pesti + Lover
@@AmongUsAcademyI actually disagree. It cannot be used as evidence, because it can be used as proof to both possibilities. It is so much easier to notice all this details if you're already know the answer.
I do not know if she cheat or not, but her anomaly high crew winrate is at least suspicious. Plus, her reasoning sometimes have leaps when other possibilities that can lead to same evidence, dose not considered. That really sometimes seems like deductive logic, and not inductive - not following evidence to come to conclusion, but starting with conclusion and seeking supportive evidence.
Although, I totally think a lot of presumed cheats are false, like that time then she recognised something, because it happened to her not long ago.

Gumi is an acquired taste. I am also not a fan of her keeping the mic open, hearing dead conversation then use it to her advantage as crew. I mean fine .. chat and goof around just don't use it to determine/win the game. That is no fun. She truly doesn't know how to have fun sometimes. Also, that would've been a fun game with dk and dumbdog goofing around. Her winning is less fun than the other option with dk and dumbdog winning. Also, didn't 5up called dumbdog as pest .. that's why dumbdog was specifically naming that rule. It was selective hearing there XD

Her "read" doesn't make sense anyway because why would Dumbdog know that dk is pestilence? That's impossible to know and we all know it. There's nothing in the game that would allow DD to figure out pesti. Not tracker, not detective, not amnesiac, nothing. So it's more likely that she stream sniped and caught the lovers chatting.
Oh Gumi... at least now we know why Hafu permabanned her from the lobby. Case closed.

It’s not impossible to know, she literally explained it. She said they were lovers, because they were doing everything together and teaming up in the meetings… very clearly. She started streaming more sporadically when she returned and mostly streams at night and is asleep during the Morning Lobby so she hasn't accepted any invites over the last several (4-5?) months. Random commenters decided that somehow means she was banned from the lobby even though she has played other games with several lobby members since her last appearance and has been seen at parties with Steve and Janet (contrast with Wolf who no one ever talks to for years).

Wolf is still talking to steve/dumbdog, i remember there was a thing about crosswords and steve or dumbdog called and talked to her on stream, said they missed her etc. Having a problem with lobby admin doesnt mean you have a problem with everyone else in the group

Yes, how could DumbDog know for sure that he isn’t Pestilence? There aren’t any roles that can tell you another person’s role. Medic, maybe, but with the “clean” comment it confirmed DK wasn’t Medic. All that combo did was confirm that DK and DumbDog were lovers 100% and there is ONLY 1 neutral role that can have “assistance” and that’s Pestilence. It’s basic logic. DumbDog basically asked his lover how he could assist him in a way that everyone could hear and deduce. Gumi was right and it’s not rocket science.

Don’t accuse her of cheating when you were too stupid to figure out that DK was Pestilence. It was obvious. 1. DD could somehow confirm DK “wasn’t” a SPECIFIC role. Neutral could have been anything, but DD specifically said Pestilence. 2. He then asks DK if anyone was still “clean” to which DK says, “None”. Making it more obvious. If you didn’t get it from that then break it down more. It’s 100% obvious at that point they were lovers, there were “teaming” in meetings making it VERY obvious so on that logic what roles can help one another? It’s unlikely they’re imposters as asking DK about whose “clean” literally means nothing when it comes to imposter roles. Arsonist is the only other one that could insinuate, but on that note DD was basically asking who else he could “help” make “unclean” and Arsonist can’t get assistance from other roles, HOWEVER, Pestilence CAN. As DD was saying in the match he can help spread the disease. Anyone with half a brain who is PAYING ATTENTION would have figured it out. I did. It was so obvious. Again, DD is the one who even threw Pestilence’s name out there in the first place so all Gumi had to do was connect the OBVIOUS dots. Don’t blame her for you being too stupid to figure it out. The others didn’t notice because they are just playing for fun so they aren’t all taking it as seriously as they used to back before their mini break. So they just missed it, Gumi was paying attention.
