We were going to have a Thanksgiving Day party in chilly weather when we found our heater wouldn't work. We were at a loss as to what to do until we watched your video. We did just what you said and, voila, we "were back in business." Thanks for the helpful explanation.
The thermocouple is what determines if the pilot will stay going among other devices that can be installed. Its the think mounted beside the flame. It shuts off gas flow if no heat detected to stop an area from being filled with gas.
No gas was getting out of the propane bottle on my nearly new unit. I disconnected the bottle and tapped the regulator a few times, reconnected it and good to go.
Can you help me a bit? I start outdoor heater the same that you have and after 1 or 2 min after it has a big orange flame and go throw the cover... and its so loud like an airplane! Somebody has a tip? i have a video from that if you want
You might be having a different issue, such as the regulator on the propane tank not opening appropriately to let the propane through. Try tapping the regulator against the tank a handful of times in case it is stuck. Otherwise, it would all have to depend on what your actual symptoms are to know what is going on.

It sounds like your gas is either all the way up, or your gas regulation valve on your heater is malfunctioning and stuck fully open.
