The lack of LPL and LCK casters is a shame. Im at least so happy we got a lil bit of Chronicler on desk during quarters. I was tearing up with him when Deft won. Sneaky, Deft, and Perkz (Yes the western GOAT) are my 3 favorite league players as a fan who started watching IEM Katowice 2016. Peak league was season 6-9. Undebatable. Ikr what the actual fuck, everyone talking about Deft but the storylines from Pyosik, Zeka and kingen are all so compelling and only a few hardcore fans will know how much these guys have grown and for sure the NA/EU casters just lack the depth to emphasise how insane this is that this drx beats edg
I mean let’s be real if you were actually gonna talk about 2022 DRX, you would talk about Pyosik getting benched multiple times throughout the season, DRX tanking through the Summer split until the 2nd half when they finally turned up, Deft carrying them through Playoffs to get to worlds and Pyosik finally coming back during worlds to replace Juhan. This roster was not that good this year - Zeka and Deft have overperformed at this tournament which is why DRX are doing well.
@@PeoplePleaser578 Well i always like analysts who can push these historical narratives of these players, and the fact that Kingen, Zeka and Pyosik all had such horrible previous years and werent seen as hot prospects, I still remember Pyosik pioneering some really weird jungle picks like Udyr and mundo back in 2021 and having to basically solo carry that iteration of drx in spring and how badly it collapsed, I still remember Zeka having some really promising games back on BLG but we're only just now seeing it pay dividends, but the casters who remain at Worlds just probably won't know about this in as much depth as the people who were there casting the games when they happened =)
@@tedsmith6385 Yeah I mean the fact that this team made top 8 is kind of crazy to me tbh because looking back over the last 2 years Kingen and Pyosik were on bad teams and struggled. Zeka was hit or miss in China he would either pop off or implode and even this year was a middle of the table Midlaner but I think the meta shift at worlds has definitely helped him. Defts historic failure of worlds - Never winning worlds, always falling in Qtr finals. I mean DRX prior to worlds weren’t even expected to make it out of groups that’s how bad they looked.
Well there won't be any casters who can tell you about the finer details about lpl and lck, but there will be Phreak who can tell you how good certain champs are in diamond na soloq.

Some of my favourite caster moments are "I'VE NEVER DOUBTED THEM" by Kobe about CLG and Phreaks "I'VE SEEN DOUBLELIFT FIGHT MAGES IN MID BEFORE AND THIS TIME HE PULLS IT OFF" about 2019 TL beating IG, these moments were so fucking hype due to the casters having such intimate knowledge of the history of the teams and the players and to just dismiss the people who have been making it their career to learn and analyse these Asian teams for an English audience is just so baffling and will remove so much of the hype for me, (Chronicler crying for Pyosik after the DRX reverse sweep was so awesome to see!) If Wolf and Valdez cast the T1 game it will blow everything up. The would have a blast in Viewership, because we all know that LPL and LCK Casters have more insight to the Players. The Cast would be much better if the Freelancers would cast too. Where is the Diversity that Riot is so proud about !!
Monte is the definition of "I just need a reason, doesn't have to be a good reason" that thorin brought up earlier and his talking about Gen.G makes that so obvious. Otherwise great episode. Guests were amazing
Love the content monte but one thing about pyosik’s steal is drx knew they were going to lose late game. Aphel just outcarries hard + ghost. Drx felt pressured so he felt like he needed to make a play
when Worlds is in Asia it airs live in the morning in Europe. Still mostly will be watched through vods unless you are a student or have home office without calls. Still like to throw up when I see all these betting advertisements these days. Worst thing about League casting is the every single kill/teamfight/objective has to be hype. And when everything is hype nothing actually is. Takes away when major moments actially do happens. It sounds like im listening to 3 guys yell for 45 minutes rather than actually cast what’s happening in the game. Maybe im just spoiled from cs
FACTS. I think the problem stims from the constant rotation of casters. There is no security so they all try too hard to one-up themselves. Meanwhile in LCK, there are 4 casters with a regular schedule. They have the patience to take it easy and just have some jokes when it's a Hanwha Life game, so when they go nuts over T1 vs Geng it feels even more epic.
also there's some pretty loud like buzzing type of feedback sound throughout most of the video it actually hurts my ears. hoping someone that can solve that sees this comment seems like its coming from yamato, so i guess fixing it for next episode isn't a need.
There is a constant "beeeep" in some parts of the video migh wana check if it was some interference with anyones mic but it realy gets a painfull after some minutes
On the point of worlds in NA again I agree it makes little sense to do it here from a business side. But at the same time if its every 4 or whatever years (assuming lolesports is still around) it should still be in the cycle. Until NA loses its status as a major region it should be in the cycle with the other 3. Also I hate that they sent the casters home but I also hope that the public backlash for not including casters from other regions pushes them to rethink the scheduling. I will also say that I think the finals should go to flowers, azael, caedrel even if everyone was around, but excluding them from the semis makes no sense at all.
This was the worst Western teams (not only for NA) performance ever even if some tend to think FNC or G2 were close to making it out. Maybe in the end, nerfing the scrims schedule is actually nerfing EU teams, who would have thought?
this was the biggest gap i've seen between west and east at worlds, even the 4th seed from LCK is in a completely different galaxy to the best western team
Not really - DRX overperformed off the back of Zeka playing insane. Watch DRX regular season and say they look anything like they do right now… but kneejerk reaction based on 1 tournament so now DRX are the best team in the world 🤣.
@@holydush Tell me you only watched DRX last week and didn’t watch them for the rest of the entire year 🤣 most people didn’t even have them making it out of groups and you are like “They are so much better than every western team”. Nothing to do with EU teams being unable to scrim for the entire tournament as Korean teams refused to fly or refused to scrim and bailed on scrims so most EU teams were playing without practice throughout the entire tournament because Eastern teams were not forced to travel, had media appearances, illness, etc. Literally this weird kneejerk reaction people have to worlds is beyond crazy - DRX weren’t even expected to make worlds and you are pretending they are one of the best teams in the world and always were… so much crap has gone on this tournament it’s not even funny, it’s been a mess for riot - Literally Fnatic went an entire week without scrimming because the Asian teams didn’t travel and had to fit in all their media days in one go so western teams completely missed out on scrimming and practice because of the region it was held in (Yamatocannon confirmed this) DRX has overperformed saying they are categorically better than every team in EU is insane. Especially as they did lose to western teams.
@@PeoplePleaser578 Dude no one cares how they were playing in April lol they just reverse swept the defending world champs and made semi finals. You can still be an EU fan boy but to think any Western team has a chance against them in this form is just delusional lol
Riot's constant "pre-planning" of having no LCK or LPL casters past quaters for multiple times at worlds (and MSI) is like a cringe way of preserving that last bit of "western glory". It's like saying "hey look, even if we aren't gonna have any western teams making past quaters, we can still keep the casters of the western region around to show that casting wise, western regions are still at the top of the world". Well they're not necessarily "better" when you literally force all the casters of LPL and LCK out, giving them absolutely no chance to compete and shine. It's like calling yourself number 1 when you don't even allow the competition to happen.
Tbh the LPL casters are bad. They are the lowest paid and have numerous difficulties with casting on the scene. Anyone who had a lick of talent immediately ran off to better things.

I don’t really get Yamatos reasoning for leaving the Yuumi up when Thoorin makes the point about the difference of Mikyx playing Yuumi in a random LEC game vs trying to do XYZ against Viper Meiko. Of course Fnatic should play to their strengths and they got cucked with the practice debacle but I still don’t get why a western team is fine with leaving up Yuumi into players like Keira and Meiko. Even Damwon realized leaving it up is insanity into elite bots and they are an elite team themselves! Not sure how I feel about the leaving up Yuumi strat relies on Fnatic executing a level 1 strategy perfectly and no one randomly dying too early.
ill say this again, Monte isnt a Korean Felatio Enthusiast. he clearly just loves * * * * in general i mean just listen to the glee in his voice whenever he talks about em
its actually funny to me that they are talking about how teams and riot making and spending money but they are in sponsorship and promoting a betting site.
Riot never/rarely fixes issues after making a mistake (or take ages to do so).. Ok it was an objectively bad decision to plan to send them home after quarters (when you expect LCK/LPL to dominate).. FINE.. but just rectify it and ask Chronicler/Atlus to stay.
i may be a minority but gambling sponsors are just a necessary evil and ive accepted that with like age 16 i dont get how people are so blinded by their viewpoint to deny gambling to be forced into the saudis hands
i understand monte likes peanut but canyon absolutely dismantled peanut every single game xept the wukong game and yes kayn requires a prio mid but geng couldnt pick any other melees game 5 had to quadruple ban jungle and fp seju while leaving top openfor last pick so seju could maybe stay flex its just bad faith to blame canyon for one side of the draft but dont give him credit for the other side, peanut got every single draft ressource they had to offer and if he doesnt have some of the BEST laners in the world these games are all doomed min 10, there were a good 20 sec in game 5 were you could see in peanuts movement he had no idea what to do next and you could just tell that canyon doenst think this matchup is close either, if you would take away the nameplates and go off that series theres no team in the world that would pick peanut over canyon
Interesting to me that caster choices are this debatable. From the sports that I watched since I was a kid no one cared about wether the caster watched the polish or swedish league when a German team played them. A caster has to know the sport, rest can be told beforehand and given as a sheet of paper, story line can be told. I personally don't really care wether they watched lpl or not. If you like lck or lpl just watch it. That is probably a very unpopular opinion but it's mine.
@@nickbohnlein634 Deman was an awful caster. No knowledge of the game at all. Also, casting LoL is completely different than casting a physical sport. Storylines matter more, variations of champions, team comps, player stats is waaay more indepth than a physical sports player's stats. Your opinion is just absurd.
@@johnj3027 I completely disagree with that take. I can prefer voice over knowledge if I so choose. I don't think story lines in eSports are inferior to story lines in "normal" sports as well. It is just about what you prefer, I don't want to get told which story line I have to like, I build my own. I think story telling is for plebs to be honest, I don't need someone to tell my facts I know already and then they hype up everything that isn't hype at all in the game. Commenting is about stylistic devices, pronunciation and your voice, not about cool storys around it and screaming over every kill. Maybe that's what the kids like, I can just tell it from my point of view. I liked it that Deman didn't gave a shit what Lulu's e was called and just said shield. People find that super important for some reason that I don't get
Why are you clinging so hard to this "story" point? Maybe you're confused with what I said. "Storylines matter more" that was in context to comparing physical sports and the background of those teams or players i.e. win/losses, players being teammates but are now on opposite teams etc. You just don't get it. You're stuck comparing Esports with physical sports and it makes you come off as rather ignorant. League being a 5 man team, with very specific roles and 100s of champions there is so much detail but you just want some caster that dumbs everything down? Well LoL isn't really for you then. Casters SHOULD know the names of abilities, not only for the nerds that like/play the game but for those that aren't familiar with it. Lulu's shield isn't just a shield, it can damage an enemy if it's cast on the enemy, if it's cast on an ally it shields and gives them an auto attack buff. It also transfers Lulu's Glitter Lance origin point. Deman will call it a shield but when Lulu uses it to make a play where the shield portion isn't the important part, then he's dead in the water trying to explain what the F just happened. "Lulu used the shield thing to kill the opponent!" Just ignorant.
Idk, the format is so garbage that I stopped watching the games and am just watching content now. I dont want to give Riot the views. Have been seriously thinking about picking up CS as an esport to watch.
Wait I feel like you have not talked about Gumayusi enough. I am Guma hater, and was 100% sure we should get T1 Prince next year. But in worlds I think he played best right out T1 so far. Game 2 T1 funneld gold into him, and he carried them out from behind, in Game 3 he roamed mid and flashed q on Sylas. In groups he handled Viper no problem.
Which is funny because they also use the old T1 narrative like the casters do. Guma is struggling. He's been the worst of the team since his slump. At worlds he's been arguably their best player. As well, they rarely talk about how Keria was actually T1 worst player in summer split. There is a reason he had the lowest POGs. It's funny when Keria mentions how he struggled heavily in the durability patch.
What a shame. I really like Altus and Chronicler as casters and given how LCK has had such a strong showing at worlds, it would only make sense to keep them around since they know the league, the teams and the players as well as anyone could hope! I like Caedrel too, but obviously he’s not going to be fully as in depth as LCK casters on LCK teams even if he does seem to do a lot of research.
bit weird that yamatos conclusioin is aphel and soraka should have flashed in, instead of them just calling the play off having full info on blabers positiion. and on top of that razork fucked up his combo...
Anyone who thinks EU is any better than NA is living in a delusion. Guys we have this delusion that Yummi isn't broken so we're going to use shit excuses to justify leaving her up. Logical fallacy thinking you can leave Yummi up to both dog and good teams. Pepega Logic.
Weird ep. No RNG vs T1 match breakdown but all other quarters match do and instead singled out a discussion for only Zeus, who did not carry the series. Botlane did. What’s up with this?
I respect Yamato for defending Humanoid. However Yamato's tactics "keep it simple" in draft was equal to predictable, lacking balls and creativity. I hope he learns from the way eastern teams draft and stop being so stubborn on his style of drafting. He just got hard outdrafted in week 2 after teams saw his way of drafting. I understand players also have a say in draft but it is his responsibility to prepare for worlds the players with not only 1 tactics and way of playing. After all he was the one who said FNC players were the best and anything beyond winning it all was a failure.
I was on the side of wanting NA to have mostly NA players until this worlds. This worlds has shown how far above the LPL and LCK are above other regions. Some of the best League I have ever watched.
We have years and years of examples showing that even some of the best LCK and LPL players joining NA make them look way worse. What makes these players look really good individually is how well they synergize with and trust their team. I would rather those players stay in a good region with other good players so we can continue enjoying watching their play at the highest level, not some watered down crippled NA version of them.
Wolf has good insights, but the sentence dynamic (raising pitch at the end of sentences), the over-usage of 'actually' and the condescending attitude towards "fans" hampers the reception. Emily Rand suffers from the first two points as well. As for the last; the loud minority on reddit and twitter are not representative of the analysis of fans that consume this content. Quotes like "I wish fans would finally realize this" are condescending to a large group. Instead, it could be phrased more like the truth, which is "Some people really misunderstand this point" or "I read x on the internet but it's really y".
LMAO even players like doinb who had jdg as favourites pre worlds and hyping lpl as the region w 4 contenders have predicted t1 to be slightly favored, whereas most analyst/casters have predicted jdg (same analysts who predicted edg over drx and rng to have a close fight w t1). Idk whos underestimating who, lpl fans gonna wake up w no more lpl teams and then crying about covid fucking them.
Worlds should only be in EU or Asia, Asia has great early times for EU and EU is an OK middle ground, US is garbage for live viewership. I have been loving the couch cast, it is exactly what I've wanted for worlds, since RL's the no majors club began. Worlds main stream cast is boring, poorly timed and I am sick of certain casters and analysts adding nothing to the context of the match, repeating the same dated talking points.
Please don't act like where Worlds is held will affect the outcome. It could be in the Arctic Circle and the exact same teams would win. Miss me with that.
Not really - It benefits the Korean and Chinese teams when it’s held in the US because they don’t practice in North America. They stay in Korea/China and scrim against better teams and play better SoloQ right up until the tournament begins whilst every other team does not have that option, EU teams don’t get to scrim vs KT, LSB pre tournament. So no inherently They do have advantages. It wouldn’t necessarily impact everything but if you think G2 are that much worse than teams or Rogue are that much worse than DRX… like come on. If you nerf the scrim schedules of certain teams - of course that will impact performance. Fnatic literally did not scrim for days at a time because a lot of Korean teams refused to fly until 1/2 days before the tournament, RNG ditched for media, DRX ditched for media and that is gonna impact how you play because of course it would.
@@PeoplePleaser578 Welp this is only true because LEC and LCS had a very late schedule to finish up their summer split. That's on LCS/LEC to figure out if they want to accommodate their players by attending boot camp. They did not. As well, Deft when he arrived to NA and played CQ said he does not know if Maokai was a good support because he did not play a single game in the patch. Looks like DRX didn't really have much prep until they arrived in NA. EU looking for excuses because the hand diff is real.
@@Gurpreet-sv5zg That is a flat out lie also it’s not due to EU teams having late finishes - They could not boot camp in Korea because there wasn’t enough time. Its due to LCK/LPL not having to travel to the event. They arrived in NA having scrimmed all throughout the time and only played a handful of games at worlds in which they refused to scrim western teams due to having long media days… only 1 region is at disadvantage here and it’s not LPL or LCK who were in fact practicing.
@@PeoplePleaser578 Lie? lol dude no one is punishing LEC or LCS teams. They chose to stay in their respective region. Even G2 screwed up by not arriving earlier to NA when LPL and T1 arrived. Then they got upset they couldn't flip flop and pay for their own accommodation. The reality is these regions needed to priortize their own schedule and make sure they needed a boot camp because the level of play in the region is awful. Funnily enough I don't think an early boot camp would've saved either LEC or LCS. LEC stuck to their butter and got a good week 1. LCS tried to copy the Eastern teams and failed. LEC could not adapt and got smacked week 2. Nothing would've changed. LEC having mediocre international results has held true and been on a decline. A boot camp does not change that.
Wolf doing his best to showcase why he isn’t at worlds this year. Just L take after L take after L take. Wolf’s LCK 2022 summer casting was probably the worst casting spilt any caster had in lol esports history and it’s not particularly close.
Were you listening with ears? Wolf had much better takes than medic, azael, mazel.... The list goes on. And all of these were better than pretty much every phreak cast.
@@Dardobul Nah wolf and chronicler have been atrociously bad. I have never seen someone cast LCK and then literally have them place LCK teams like IWD did. There is one thing to understand flaws from the team but pretending said flaws don't exist for LPL teams is just garbage analysis.
@@Dardobul the thing w all these analyst’s analysis is that they are highly influenced by T1’s shitshow of summer (bad meta fit plus fan pressure etc). It shows when they cant acknowledge guma is back to spring form and that to me puts T1 ahead of JDG. Like they said, both teams are good at closing out w leads and T1 looks to be a better early team than JDG at worlds, so idk why they say one thing abt T1 being good at choking out teams and then favoring JDG when T1 has shown that they are more stable early than JDG which had to fight back in multiple games against weaker opponents who cannot close out games to save their life.
The NA vs EU thing being pushed by the casters and some of the players is the whole reason you get the animosity between the 2 western regions. EU AND NA are garbage compared to the East. I'd rather celebrate the wins and the overperformances (like RGE) than celebrate the losses. The same thing you're saying that NA casters did to EU every content creator did to NA despite the expectations being that NA would do extremely poorly. Stop making it such a huge point of the broadcast to shit on NA, it's so overplayed. If before worlds NA is expected to 1) not get out of any group 2) not even make it out of playins 3) not win against eastern teams. The only "underperformance" of NA was losing to CFO and DFM once each. NA going 5-3 across worlds against EU teams is actually an overperformance especially if you say that EU is miles better than NA. IMO this is also one of the biggest reasons that LCS gets worse viewership. Why would you watch a region where any time anyone makes ANY content about it, they're just shitting on it. Legit happened at MSI. EG win a game against T1 and apparently celebrating that is stupid (remember both teams got stomped 3-0 in the knockout stage). Now FNC winning a single game against T1 in the group stage is a great accomplishment. So it's an accomplishment for EU the better region, but not for NA the apparently wildcard region? But I guess congrats to EU fans, you guys now get the old NA expectations and get to feel good about it. Get one team out of groups, get smashed in playoffs. We'll pretend the west didn't peak in 2019 and forget that the west hasn't won a single game let alone a series in worlds playoffs since 2020.

Atlus and Chronicler deserved to be at the semis at least, Riot has done them dirty.
I like to put lck casters as a background regarding the game while cleaning home or something. Lck caster Valdes, Atlus and Wolf are really good.
This kinda felt like a really friendly 4 horsemen :D
Love the loooooooooooooooong format content, amazing that the quality is always so high when it is this long. Never suprised always amazed
This intro is extremely epic.
Additionally I might have to order the Atlas headrest for the Aeron, should be good since both Thorin and Monti have it.
3 and a half hours!? Thank you! Been binging your content as I'm back into League, much appreciated.
Guys, a free pitch for any piece or show you might want to make:

I have never heard of a more generous act
this needs to be put to the front of your playlist so it's seen on your homepage!
Well there won't be any casters who can tell you about the finer details about lpl and lck, but there will be Phreak who can tell you how good certain champs are in diamond na soloq.
I appreciate a professional coach and the top english caster coming on the show to talk World's content. Both Wolf and YamatoCannon did an amazing job filling in the blanks of the whirling dervish that is World's 2022. Good episode MonteCristo and Thorin, thank you guys.
I watched LCK because of Monte and DoA. And still continue to this day.
i've watched every single episode of summoning insight and i'm glad you guys are hitting your potential now these intros are sick
adanion u are a fucking legend if u read this mate
Banger opening
Some of my favourite caster moments are "I'VE NEVER DOUBTED THEM" by Kobe about CLG and Phreaks "I'VE SEEN DOUBLELIFT FIGHT MAGES IN MID BEFORE AND THIS TIME HE PULLS IT OFF" about 2019 TL beating IG, these moments were so fucking hype due to the casters having such intimate knowledge of the history of the teams and the players and to just dismiss the people who have been making it their career to learn and analyse these Asian teams for an English audience is just so baffling and will remove so much of the hype for me, (Chronicler crying for Pyosik after the DRX reverse sweep was so awesome to see!)
DRX FIGHTING #DeftsLastDance
I would assume he was crying for Deft, not Pyosik.
I can feel the energy emanating throughout the universe
Yamatos part created a pretty bad hissing sound when listening on hifi; as a production note :)
Undebatable 32:53 (Thorin makes the case). Its odd to watch the last few years with the gap widening between the east and west and the decline of the viewing experience. Seems like this years worlds song is like not even a legit worlds song - its like lil nas or whatevers "hit single" on the radio atm. Aaaaaand the broadcast has not played the previous years worlds songs like Legends Never Die, Rise, Take Over, etc during game breaks like they have in the past (maybe they did during play-ins but cant say for sure). Like what the fuck Riot China* Games?
The lighter trying to do the super saiyan aura was hilarious
Zeka deserves a BDE trophy for his game 5 winning play 4v5 in the dragon pit
There is a high frequency noise in the background when Yamato is talking D:
I look forward to every opening! Absolute bangers every week
These banger intros are almost on Thorin's Thoughts ad read level damn
i don't know the nature of the business and behind the scenes stuff to keep up with the shenanigans. thanks for your work guys. i think there is a bit of delusion on riots side. we'll continue to see the company plagues by logical short coming. since they love doing whatever thye should just make their own na team riot to field.
Hilarious intro and great episode, thanks.
If Wolf and Valdez cast the T1 game it will blow everything up.
No LCK casters for the finals is truly the most NA of all possible outcomes. I look forward to the co-stream, because I can't deal with Rito any more.
Monte's showmanship gets me every time lol
I was sold at the intro
Loving the intro
Love the content monte but one thing about pyosik’s steal is drx knew they were going to lose late game. Aphel just outcarries hard + ghost. Drx felt pressured so he felt like he needed to make a play
I would love a small tournament with the top 2 teams of each region, just GSL groups and a double bracket.
That would be the msi change everyone hopes for
when Worlds is in Asia it airs live in the morning in Europe. Still mostly will be watched through vods unless you are a student or have home office without calls.
Still like to throw up when I see all these betting advertisements these days. Now I guess your audience is a bit more mature than a lot of other places but still betting addiction is nothing to laugh at and these promises of "you dont have to invest your own money but still win real money if you play" can't only be fishy to me :D
Yamato was (as always) a great guest. Loved to hear more insights about the challenges for FNC
The riot and twich history is so interesting. It just goes to show that as great as riot is when it comes to game expansion's, skins and music, their business model is still lacking compared to other money hungry corporations.
There’s actually video of the behind the scenes of that skt vs rox series where kkoma asks bang and wolf if the mf was a problem and they said no
It's crazy to think League will be the second NA scene casualty to the impending rise of Valorant lmao
yep its kinda sad honestly, but league is becoming massive in south america, and there is some good teams from those areas. we might see the birth of a new major region soon enough tbh
@@creatinepowder167 yep, esports hype and reach is crazy there, it would be the same in my country but we're stuck on cell phones for now lol. countries like brazil have always been good on fps games because of the lan culture back from 1.6 and even if moba wise they don't have the rigorous server of the east they make it up for fan engagement which is ultimately what matters when you only compete world wide twice a year in this cursed riot format
"Homme never coached at this peak high level"??? excuse me, he coached a dominant SAMSUNG WHITE, MVP BLUE (player coach) who won over a HUGE favorite CJ BLAZE, remotely coached LGD who won Summer 2015 over EDG.. If you think coaching a WORLDS WINNING team is NOT HIGH LEVEL ENOUGH.. BTW as an OGN fan, I'VE ALWAYS KNOWN Homme was a fking good coach.
amazing intro
Worst thing about League casting is the every single kill/teamfight/objective has to be hype. And when everything is hype nothing actually is. Takes away when major moments actially do happens. It sounds like im listening to 3 guys yell for 45 minutes rather than actually cast what’s happening in the game. Maybe im just spoiled from cs
FACTS. I think the problem stims from the constant rotation of casters. There is no security so they all try too hard to one-up themselves. Meanwhile in LCK, there are 4 casters with a regular schedule. They have the patience to take it easy and just have some jokes when it's a Hanwha Life game, so when they go nuts over T1 vs Geng it feels even more epic.
also there's some pretty loud like buzzing type of feedback sound throughout most of the video it actually hurts my ears. hoping someone that can solve that sees this comment
seems like its coming from yamato, so i guess fixing it for next episode isn't a need.
sadly I couldn't get through the whole podcast yet. Does anyone have a timestamp for where they are talking about the lec format changes rumors?
Is it really a worlds win for Gen G if they dont go through an LPL team?
wait no premier ?
Yamato is such a classy guy.
You should do a shark tank sketch for the LCS/Lol esports haha
iirc if kingen's tp wasn't interrupted, kingen wouldn't have been able to stop the EDG backs
Last free nation let's goo! Long live the cute cats! I love cats.
that opening eggplant ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
This was the worst Western teams (not only for NA) performance ever even if some tend to think FNC or G2 were close to making it out. Maybe in the end, nerfing the scrims schedule is actually nerfing EU teams, who would have thought?
WHAT IS THAT INTRO MAAAAN 💀💀💀
this was the biggest gap i've seen between west and east at worlds, even the 4th seed from LCK is in a completely different galaxy to the best western team
Not really - DRX overperformed off the back of Zeka playing insane.
Watch DRX regular season and say they look anything like they do right now… but kneejerk reaction based on 1 tournament so now DRX are the best team in the world 🤣.
They aren't the best team in the world, they are still far ahead of teams like Rogue, Fnatic, G2, C9 and EG.
@@holydush yeah 100t thieves is far better though
Kobe has casted EVERY worlds finals since 2012 other than 2015. Kobe is fine, but that shows how insanely biased they are.
Tbh the LPL casters are bad. They are the lowest paid and have numerous difficulties with casting on the scene. Anyone who had a lick of talent immediately ran off to better things.
@@Cornincarnate Why not have a mix of both. Look at how well PapaSmithy blended with CaptainFlower in IG vs KT series. There were tons of iconic moments coming out of that series and the two worked together perfectly.

Anyone else hearing the high pitched screech over yamato’s mic?
Caby (Coby) sorry not sure how to spell his name is an LCS (think from Academy) caster that was doing some work with the LCK analyst desk, he was actually pretty cool tbh, any other LCS caster that goes to the LCK will probs be bad but this guy did such a good job. Not including LCK or LPL casters is a shame they got the best ones there, okay and Vedius from the LEC. Caedrel kinda overrated to me he is a kid who thinks is cool cause some other kids think he is cool xD
Is anyone else having audio issues with this episode?
Being a Bears fan is eternal suffering 🙃
Riot is giving up on league in the west/NA. They are obviously shifting their focus towards Valorant.
They are giving up on it in NA. Not the west. LEC had one of the highest viewerships of a major region.
It’s exclusively an issue for NA.
Which is hilarious because Valorant is going to die a quick and brutal death as soon as the new CS comes out.

Yamato always great, very polite from you guys to not ask him why hilly sucked hard :D
NFL has viewerships in billions?
Sure....
its actually funny to me that they are talking about how teams and riot making and spending money but they are in sponsorship and promoting a betting site.
That high pitch noise coming from Yamato’s mic made me stop watching. I’m sorry. I love your guys content but I couldn’t with the noise.
i understand monte likes peanut but canyon absolutely dismantled peanut every single game xept the wukong game and yes kayn requires a prio mid but geng couldnt pick any other melees game 5 had to quadruple ban jungle and fp seju while leaving top openfor last pick so seju could maybe stay flex its just bad faith to blame canyon for one side of the draft but dont give him credit for the other side, peanut got every single draft ressource they had to offer and if he doesnt have some of the BEST laners in the world these games are all doomed min 10, there were a good 20 sec in game 5 were you could see in peanuts movement he had no idea what to do next and you could just tell that canyon doenst think this matchup is close either, if you would take away the nameplates and go off that series theres no team in the world that would pick peanut over canyon
That being said, I don't like the LCS casters. I think the best casters lol had were Joe Miller an Deman Smith
Have been seriously thinking about picking up CS as an esport to watch.
very annoying ringing or high pitch sound on yomatos mic or something
Wait I feel like you have not talked about Gumayusi enough. I am Guma hater, and was 100% sure we should get T1 Prince next year. But in worlds I think he played best right out T1 so far. Game 2 T1 funneld gold into him, and he carried them out from behind, in Game 3 he roamed mid and flashed q on Sylas. In groups he handled Viper no problem.
Guma has looked good. He got better at sivir. He was just not good at all on Zeri, which was a meta defining champion.

Obviously they dont wanna talk about the botlane lmao
I respect Yamato for defending Humanoid. However Yamato's tactics "keep it simple" in draft was equal to predictable, lacking balls and creativity. I hope he learns from the way eastern teams draft and stop being so stubborn on his style of drafting. He just got hard outdrafted in week 2 after teams saw his way of drafting. I understand players also have a say in draft but it is his responsibility to prepare for worlds the players with not only 1 tactics and way of playing. After all he was the one who said FNC players were the best and anything beyond winning it all was a failure.
Neat
Boom
Agreed its fucking stupid lck casters should of covered this. And dagda should be there for the finals.
Lmao these openings
The superbowl doesnt have billions watching it at all lol
Drx top 4 worlds gets bashed
Bump I wonder if the design of the award is just shitting on Riot's trophy design. It's shit but at least it makes sense. xD
everyone underestimating jdg like they did fpx back then..
yall lck fans gonna wake up to a 3-0
goodbye t1
Not EU. Eastern players complain that it has horrible food. No one likes the food in EU. Too bland and no diversity.
It’s also categorically worse for it to be in NA because Time zones, etc are garbage for western fans.
Just upvoting your comment because its so fucking stupid and i love it :D
Deft is not the best player to never win worlds. It is 100% uzi or chovy.
We'll pretend the west didn't peak in 2019 and forget that the west hasn't won a single game let alone a series in worlds playoffs since 2020.
when i heard yamato writing with tabe i still cant believe he didnt ever fake leak strats to help a chinese team
