Nice. If I may ask, what is the phone mount you managed to have centered? I was looking for a phone mount base to put my Ram X grip on, but I couldn't find anything to attach it to in the middle.. Getting the wind fairing, so I figured I could use a suction mount, but I really like where you've got your phone. Tempted to get the chrome tank (It's a 2024, and they only made the "Chrome Edition" for 2023).. but curious to know if there's glare zones, since it's basically like one big convex mirror..
NO issue with glare on the tank and we have a lot of sun here in Florida so I'd say it's been well tested. @CaptainRevs, thanks for the video. Question for you about ceramic coating. There is a detail shop nearby me that said they can ceramic coat the engine. I second guessed that a bit, and will ask another shop for second opinion. Couple questions for you: (1) Thoughts on ceramic coating the Thruxton engine? (2) Which parts did you ceramic coat? (3) When to do the ceramic coating, like during break-in period or wait until after first maintenance is complete for a new Thruxton?
My engine was not ceramic coated - just the tank, plastic, glass, and some other bits throughout the bike. I don't think parts that get extremely hot can be coated like the engine and pipes.... I had mine done before the first service, the service doesn't really affect anything .
I'm a owner of the Thruxton for almost seven years and looked at the 1200 Triple RR but the ergonomics make the Thruxton look like a touring bike. The 765RS is actually more comfortable and exciting to ride than either tne RR or 1200 RS.
I paid sticker price. My BBB local dealer received only on allocation for a Chrome Thruxton and I wanted it so there’s not much leverage there for me to negotiate. Try to find one that’s in stock, that’s the only way I see you getting a deal. G’luck it’s a gorgeous and special bike.
@@CaptainRevs yeah i went to a dealer near where i live yesterday that had one to test ride one but they wouldn’t let me cause i didn’t have reflective clothing with me they said they require that for insurance purposes so ill have to go back some time later this week
Has anyone found a tail rack that will fit Thruxton RS? I'm going nuts trying to find one. Hepco & Becker have one, but they apparently have never sold one to an RS owner, so they won't confirm if it'll fit or not. The Triumph waxed cotton panniers suck, held on by cheap plastic clips and vinyl with 6 lb capacity LOL. Legend gear is
A regular dealer service on my Thruxton R costs about €150 and on my BMW S1000RR about €175. You guys in the US (I am in Ireland) seem to be getting ripped off big time especially in Florida?
Seems to be the case... in the US it's much more compared to the cost I've heard owners in the UK mention. Including yourself. OH well, cost of having an amazing bike. 🤷♂
I considered getting a Triple RR too (trading in my 2017 Triumph T120) but the bike looked too small when I saw it in the showroom. I like a bike to have some street presence and his just doesn't. It's really only a tarted up triple RS so I went for the new Ducati Panigale V2 troy Bayliss edition. Some of the you tube reviews on the Triple RR have not been too kind to it also but I do agree it looks pretty.
Not sure what that translates into US but I've accepted the fact that it is what it is and unless I drive much further to another Triumph dealer I'll just have to pay for it. The next services are far and few in between so hopefully the cost won't be to bad moving forward.
Do you have issues with the sun reflecting off of the tank at all? I'm looking at getting a Chrome Edition, but I'm really curious about how that might affect visibility!

@@theocros301 oh ok yeah that makes sense then an dis a great idea, I never thought of that... for my next bike I'll do that. And yes, I checked in with a few Triumph owners in my area and that price sounds about right to them.
Nice boss, keep it coming. Glad you're a part of the Triumph family.
Thanks! I have some slip ons arriving this week… will do another video soon! 🤘🏻⚡️

I just got my black 2023 Thruxton RS and appreciate the videos… good idea on the ceramic coating!!
Congrats man!! ⚡️
If I heard correctly you spent more than 300 $ for the first service on yr Thruxton rs !!
usually the rate doesn’t exceed 200$ in France and Italy
When I was test riding my first Thruxton RS, it was a torrential downpour and rain mode saved my ass when I started fishtailing.
Yeah they have a lot of torque - rain mode definitely makes them safer when it's wet.Glad you didn't wreck a showroom bike. lol
@@CaptainRevs would have been a bad day for sure. Now, in part thanks to your videos, I’m off to pick up a chrome edition tomorrow
@@SDevante Oh man! Exciting! Have you seen one in person before? They are so gorgeous... my Chrome Edition is a keeper for life.

i know what the sticker price is but i was just curious what you paid for it. its a beautiful bike i hope im able to get a good deal

Do your own oil and it'll be like 100 cheaper.
Not bad for $361 first service. Here in California its $600+ when i asked and thats for a 2023 Yamaha MT03. What a joke😅
That’s insane. 🫣

I've just done the first service on my 2023 Speed twin 1200 with the exact same motor as your bike, I paid $250 AUD

Hi, what is the headlight black brace mod you did and do you have a link of where i can get that or what it is called ? looks GREAT
Those are from Raisch - check out this video I did on them, should have a link in the description too. ua-cam.com/video/ikggDCYJ0ys/v-deo.html
Great video. Thank you. Consider ceramic coating the pipes in mat black….
Didn't realize that was a thing, I'll look into it thanks! - I don't remember this video, but I think this was before I put new pipes on.

Good question. Not at all, with my helmet on and looking forward, I guess I’ve never even noticed.
@@CaptainRevs Good to know - thank you so much!
Great video! How did you mount your phone on that center of your steering column?

In France, nothing paid, I negotiated. Otherwise 220 euros
NICE! You negotiated when you first bought it to include the first service?
@@CaptainRevs Yes, when I signed the bike! Your garage is really expensive, I don't know if it's the standard price in the United States….

You need to focus your film shots more on the bike more than your beard.
Film? lol. Nah. You get the beard! 😂
