- I left Rainelle in the morning to pick up Ronnie to take him to get his airplane. He gave me an awesome tour of what southern WV has to offer in the way of private airstrips. Some are on the sectional, some are not. Can you name them? Have you been there? Always make sure you have permission before going!
This just shows a small portion of what the Mountain State has for recreational airstrips. I think it only covers two counties!

Up closer to CRW is an island grass strip in the Kanawha River WV08. Also worth checking out is Mallory just east of CRW. Not a soft field but a one way in and out approach. Also check out I41 Robert Newlon.
