- Flying the Buckeye Backcountry with the OBP.
I went to pick up Mr Swingle at his house after he had to leave his plane at the RAF Trail stop at Swank Field in Butler, Ohio. We then met up with everyone, ate lunch, and then went out in search of gravel bars. As you can see, we found them. And in excellent condition I might add!

Dude, just found your channel. I’ll be watching every one of these and ring that bell. Very cool Thx!
Man I LOVE that straight tail Cessna. That is a smooth flying airplane! The Cubs and the Scout are sweet too!!!!!
Thank you!!!
@@offairportgear Your Welcome! She is one of the safest best all around GA aircraft ever built!!! Fly safe friend.
Fantastic, I haven't seen anyone else fly a tricycle undercarriage with standard tyres land on gravel bars.... Good job
Killing the grass strips! Always looking forward to your videos. Thanks!
Great content thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing
That was amazing! Loved the flying. Thanks
Such a good vid, watched it a few times! 👍
very nice, i'm pre-solo and this is inspiring!!!!
Love those grass strips.
Nice footage
Nice job Evan. It was fun! Lets do it again before the river goes back up?
Great Video. You ever fly over the AEP Recreation Lands down there?
Another good video.... I've launched out of there.
Great video, love it! Is that T-craft using the 22" Desser's?
Not sure.
I think it's extremely dangerous to land at that gravel bar. There are power lines overhead!
Never flown in Alaska? Dangerous? What isn't? Few power-lines but our gravel bars sometimes have a family of bears feeding.
Sweet vid man. What did you have wrong with the mavics camera around the 10min mark?
The gimbal did not reset and was tilted. I think it was picking up the rotor shadow. If that is what you were referencing.
As an aspiring pilot from North East Ohio -- where would I start if I wanted to get involved in this? I can't even describe how cool I think this is.
I just got my private in North East Ohio... Message me and I can direct you where to go
I have a carbon cub and I’m in michigan, can i come play? Lol
Sorry if this is a stupid question but is the cream and black plane a RANS S7?
Yes
Is there anywhere in Ohio that's flat and more than a 100 yards from a power pylon or a telecom tower? Do you think that's why Greg's so nutty - could all them microwaves have got to his brain? Someone should do a scientific paper on this...
Just wondering if N3768D is still operational. I would love to own that aircraft.
dougdavidtwins it is.
You're welcome to come to my field if you ever need to. 8KY6
Thanks David. Got your email. Look for a response soon!
Cool video, great cinematography!
Not ideal involving those power lines though... Doesn't add anything good to the video. It's an unnecessary risk to everyone, including all the homes, businesses, and public services that depend on the power. Never again please.
