Thank you for this video as a Aerogarden stopped selling the cilantro pods because they say it doesn’t do well in warm weather. I will definitely use your method when I purchase the cilantro seeds. I really enjoy the flavor of cilantro and would like to gro it.
Love cilantro! Thanks for showing the entire grow cycle. I have also noticed that sometimes my cilantro is very mild. I will try the change in fertilizer!
Hi friend. Your method of getting the cilantro to sprout has worked for me. Yay! I removed the husks and did as you instructed. I got two sprouts long enough to plant in pods. I don't have any maxi grow food yet, but plan on getting some soon. For now I use the aerogarden plant food but just added a little bit. I sprayed the other seeds and hope they grow big.
I'm glad it worked for you. Thanks for sharing the success. Aerogarden nutrients also work, but I feel MaxiGro is working much better. So, you will get good Cilantro.
Thank you! I didn’t see you thinning the seedlings. Did you let several plants stay growing together in the same pod? If so what’s the maximum number in the same pod that you recommend?
That's right. I didn't thin out the seedlings. 3-4 cilantro plants can go together happily in the same pod. So, I always go with up to 4 plants per pod.
Beautiful Cilantro! I used MaxiGro in my hydroponics a couple years ago and the powder developed a chlorine odor so I stopped using it. I don't know if that was normal but it made me nervous.
In this Cilantro grow cycle, I haven't changed the water at all but I normally change the water once every 2 months. Maybe that is helping me not to develop any odors.
Is it true floating seeds do not germinate ? Is this trunfor cilantro seeds too Even the seeds i buy from reputed online seeds stores, many of them Float n only very few sink Does this rule apply for cilantro too ? Cilantro seeds are very light n may float Shud i discard them instead of getting disappointed after 3!weeks
Sorry for the late reply. I had to test a few things before I respond so it took some time. It is true that healthy seeds will sink, and unhealthy seeds will float. There could be some exceptions, but this applies to pretty much everything. Coming to Cilantro seeds, they will float until they are fully wet, but they sink once they are fully soaked. Anyways, if you buy seeds from a seed company, I wouldn't worry much. Just start them and they should work. If you buy the imported seeds in bulk from grocery stores (for example, Indian grocery store), then it's little hard to say that they will work since most of them goes through some radiation at customs.
For this Cilantro in Aerogarden Harvest, I had been feeding 1 teaspoon of nutrients every 14 days. Sometimes I was little lazy and delayed the feeding, but every 14 days is what I followed.
Love your experiments. I learn so much from them. Thanks

I have listened to many UA-cam videos on aerogarden issues and I like yours the best! So clear and helpful. Thank you!

@@aerogardenexperiments I meant the powder itself smelled-in the bag.
Hi my friend. Will you tell me, Aerogarden can cause roots to turn brown? Is this okay?
Yeah, roots will turn brown slightly due to nutrients and it's common. But they shouldn't turn dark brown which may be root rot.
Is this a repeat video? I have my cilantro seeds in ziplock bag right now waiting for them to sprout, from your video from weeks ago.
This is the complete video from seeds to the end of the plants. The first few minutes are repeated.

How often we need to used this product??

Did you take off the tapes? Won't it limit the growth?
No, the tape had enough hole for the plants to come out. It never interrupted the growth.
Why did you put foil?
To block the light and prevent algae.
