The drilling is literally a mainstay in my load out and I use it for grinding red deer because of the slugs and rifle rounds
The drilling is always in my loadout 👍 it's such a typicall gun that always used in Germany for hunting.
I use it with the 9,3 and slugs for bigger animals up to cape buffalos.
And have a second shotgun (20ga) for birdshot in my loadout.
Drilling Rifle is in my Top 3 favorites in the game, and I usually always keep it loaded with Birdshot on the maps that have Class 1 and then keep a 2-4 like the air rifle. Only need 2 weapons to cover all 9 classes because I don't usually shoot anything over 225 yards/meters.
Gemsbok and Wildebeest spine hit boxes have been fucked up for a good while now. And by a while I mean since scoring 2.0
Also scrub hare do have a rare fur type, or at least a rarer one. It’s called light grey with a 0.26% spawn chance.
The scrub hares do in fact have a rare, its light gray! They changed it some updates ago.
Gemsbok and wildebeest spinal cord hitboxes are bugged. You could hit dead center of the lungs and it'll register it as a spine shot for some reason.
the drilling is my top fave sadly i cant use it on multiplayer for some reason i try n i cant change the bullet type mode its kinda sad so if im soloing i use it then
Do the Solohkin frontline. It is 3-7, but is super strong and is a BEAST
For the drilling gun to switch between rifle and shotgun on console you have to hold down the reload button

"Criminially underused" you say? ... I have the drilling in pretty much any loadout... even though I'd have preferred a different type of drilling instead, a so-called "bockdrilling" which is one shot barrel and two different rifle barrels, a large one and a small one - common would be a 16gauge, a 30-06 and a .243 or something along those lines. And for anyone complaining about 4$ for the DLC, a Blaser BD14 starts at 9200€ SRP...
I would rather bring my prefered load out of the .300, .308, .243, and the .22lr. And If I don't have say the night vision binoculars I can usually bring a shotgun like for Mississippi or the new map.
When you are first exploring you typically carry tents/tripods and for this map you will also need decoys. That will make it very hard to use that kind of loadout.
@@ScarecrowTheHunter I just like the loadout and I don't play as much as you or the next person. I can also go back to the lake(s) that I need to put a tent up or something.

I use alot, it is all you need, Also the rifle round packs hell of a punch
The reason I stopped using it is because it had some issues with swapping the ammo type on PS4,which is the platform I play on. So for me the Solo is and has been the go to rifle for all maps including new ones.

its nto suewd as much becuz it have a bad follwo up shot. tho it is verry versatile. ther ejsut betetr options. unless you want to go very needy with space

FUN FACT the drilling rifle was given to the nazi war plane pilots during WWll as a weapon to get food if you crash and the 9.3 for self defence and the american pilots got a weapon that had a 22h and a 410 barrel both single shot and break action but the american one is more for hunting for food in an emergency but the drilling has a chance oh taking down a soldier going after them.
