I have an sound engineering / mixing seminar given by Ken "Pooch" Van Druten who is the live sound engineer for this band and he goes into depth on having 3 lead guitars and the panning and EQ techniques he uses to give each guitarist their own space in the mix. It's quite fascinating.
Thank you, Doug, for what has been a very enjoyable and educational two years! I remember watching that episode -- probably not on the day, but some days or weeks later -- and it stands up well to the test of time. There have certainly been production improvements, but the core is there. A solid foundation, indeed, upon which to build such a successful channel.
Doug, I came to your channel because of the Iron Maiden reactions and I just love them. I have watched each one of them countless times. Cheers from brazil!
Yes Maiden is the only band with three lead guitars that I know of that’s what makes them unique and that distinctive sound galloping guitars
I've watched more of your videos than I can remember but don't normally comment, congrats on 2 years of, in my opinion some of the best reaction videos out there and here's hoping for many more
Congratulations on the 2year anniversary!! Hopefully many more to come, also redbreast is a fantastic choice! 🇮🇪
Congrats Doug!!!! Happy anniversary. Great pick. Maiden is one of my top five favorite bands.
I follow them since 1980 approx. I've seen them live six times. All salad shows. Astonishing!
Doug I just wanted to thank you for making the decision to do reaction videos. It is so nice to have a skilled professional breakdown a lot of songs I grew up with. Thanks again.
Congratulations on the 2years. It was around that time I subscribed and have been enjoying your channel ever since. Long may it continue
Congrats! I remember watching this first video 2 years ago!
i consider myself very lucky to have seen them live at a local venue in my teens after a cadet night and to this day are still my fave band alongside rush ever since
you should invite your brother to react next to you, it would be awesome
Happy aniversary! Everytime i see iron maiden in your content , i’m there. I am an iron maiden fan and latley i have listen to one of their albums that i didnt like back then, but now , i listen 3 Timea a day full album. Now i think it’s great . The album is “ the final Frontier” . I would suggest “ mother of mercy” and “coming home” for a reaction , but all album is great.
2x Doug head banging like an 80s rage child! Priceless! :)
i love your reactions Doug and apritiate your point of view of music
Double the Doug, double the fun.
Looking forward to the reacting to the reacting of your first Maiden reaction!
(3:23) cheers!!!
Congrats dude! keep em comin! i love watching your reactions! Nigel from Malta!
Doug, I love your reactions. I also watch Virgen as well . I saw Iron maiden back in the 80's and loved it. You are spot on about your observation that you only get 1 time for the first time. As a rock climber I can relate. I only got 1 chance to "on-sight" a climbing line.
Love your page Doug and i am a massive Maiden fan
Happy second anniversary of the reactions in channel. I wish you more success and great dicovery during reactions.
Anyone else feel they were reminded of the Number Of The Beast album art in the vid, with 3 differing sizes of people.
Doug towering over Doug to his left, towering over Maiden to his left.
Thanks, Doug.
You need to go see them on the next North American tour. They don't have many tours left. Up the Irons!
Thank you so much for all the knowledge and joy you've brought us all, and congratulations on this anniversary for you've made some wise choices in life! Prost!🍻🤘🤘🤘
Your amaizing Doug!!!!
Remember "the dress" that went viral? How some people thought it was white but it was actually blue?
The curtains in the old video look white while they look blue in the new video.
Happy birthday Doug. Loved your progression to being a Metal Head ! 🤣🤣
It's cool we can see the whole journey and how your mind changed since your first reaction.
Congratulations on your two year anniversary Doug! I toasted right along with you, although I am drinking beer. I think I have been with you almost since the beginning. Your trained musical insights into the music I love are really interesting. Keep up the good work! Cheers! 🥃
Bravo Doug! Cheers from Brazil. Long live the channel. All these stories deserves a book! What about that?????
My favorite reaction is "Close to the Edge". Same reaction as the first time I heard it, when I was 16.
I would have sworn it was last year! Cheers to you, Doug, and thanks for everything.
Congratz on this anniversary
