Extremely fine message on BOTH keyboards. Nice and gentle and sharp too. Thank you for this beautiful music.

So many people knock Behringer, it doesn’t matter one jot if it sounds EXACTLY LIKE a mini Moog … when it comes to synths, if it sounds good … it is good and this sounds great

I have the Poly D, Model D and Grandmother. Poly D sounds least Minimoog of the 3. It’s mixer I just far too gentle (due to extra OSC and Chorus messing the optimal prefilter gain staging)
A few other details to do with the midrange and whatnot, however it does sound very nice and I use it about as often as the GM. If I could afford a real Minimoog I certainly would get it as it just has a bit more oomph.

@@sibbyeskieand you still can’t tell them apart in the mix. And very few people beyond us synth nerds even care.

You sound kind of like Matt Johnson of Jamiroquai, which is a very good thing in my book! Lovely.

Man…I love me some synths, but even having 12 of them, I find myself playing EP more than anything. And coupled with a smooth buttery mono lead like this one-ain’t nothin’ more chill🤤

    Sounds absolutely gorgeous! Amazing playing.
Just got the Poly D today and having fun getting stuck into it (and mainly just getting stuck 😂)
I bought it for this kind of sound though. Is it single oscillator, Sawtooth? Any advice for setting the Poly D up for this kind of tone would be great to help me get started with it.

Hi, Thanks for the comment! It does get some getting used to haha... I came from the acoustic piano world and at the begining it was a bit overwhelming with the synths... It's important to know exactly what each control does so you can play around with the sound in real time rather than relying on patches. With some practice you can get to the sounds you want quickly. Check out Cory Henry playing analog synths.. I can't really remember how this sound was made but probably 2 osc, sawtooth and triangle..fast attack, delay round half.. It's also important to have a bit of reverb with these analog synths, really makes a diference in the sound.

Thanks! It was improvised.. but mostly around minor chords with lots of extensions like cm7,9,11, fm7,9,11,13 etc... there's a part where it goes Bm7 to Bbm7 then Abm7...

@@patrickcaldwell7626 Thank you for replying with this info, Mr. Caldwell.
I'm no slouch of a player and have way too many synths, but i tend to rely on the presets a little too much and have found i'm not playing the Poly-D as much because 1) it's a little daunting having so many knobs/switches, and 2) there's lots of other stuff around that has some of those classic Moog-y sounds already dialed in (e.g., Novation MiniNova, microKORG, Volca Keys, etc. -- even my M-Audio Venom has samples that get pretty near to this same sonic territory).. But relying upon your "probably 2 osc, sawtooth and triangle.. fast attack, delay round half" comment -- along with the chords you've mentioned above -- well, that'll probably get me at least 90% of the way there. :) Thank you kindly, good sir!

@@keykrazy Thank you! :) I think most of the fun is to be able to alter the sound while playing. For me, coming from an acoustic piano background, it kind of substitutes the dynamic control present in piano keys, or velocity sensitive keys of other keyboards... Specially in more jazzier contexts! Kind of like what hammond organ players do...
