First Camper Trip | Big Family Pop Up Camping

- After spending most of summer working on the pop up camper, we finally get to take it out. We finished the sink and the last cabinet right before we loaded the van and left. 8 of us all fit perfectly in the camper.
We didn't have time for a test run to practice driving or backing up or anything with the camper attached so it was very sink or swim.
We went to Erie, Niagara Falls, Watkins Glen State Park, The Catskill Mountains. Now to plan the next trip!

We just took our pop up camper to Lake Ontario and Niagara Falls! 💗💗 We have 4 kids in a 2008 Fleetwood Arcadia. 💞
That's so awesome. We just got back from Virginia Beach. Hoping to get maybe one or two more trips before the end of the year.

@@TheSpencerFamily8 I'm looking for a pop up camper. But my SUV can only tow 3500 pounds. Hopefully I can find one that's only 2000 or less:)
I just saw these comments. Ours weighs 3200 dry i think. Yeah most mini vans are about the same and that's why we got the bigger van.
What is the towing capacity of your van?

That's so awesome. I hope you got everything together and have been able to hit the road now! Sorry for the slow response. They said the van could tow up to 7500ish. We did buy the bigger van mainly for the pop up but then we loved it for big trips. We still have two regular mini vans as daily drivers but any decent trip.... pile in the bus!

@@gersan8056 Thank you! It's a Ford Transit. It's a 15 passenger and it's amazing. We use it pretty much anytime we go anywhere that's longer than a 2 hour drive. We also have a mini van that fits everyone for driving around the city.
