asics1149 As a lifetime UT fan, we definitely didn't think we were going to win out after beating OU in 2013 and 2015. If you actually took the time to look at the 2014 and 2016 games you can see they were very close even though OU was obviously better. I don't know if you are new to college football but their is a thing called rivalry. Something you rarely find in the NFL.

Ehlinger was amazing. Texas was amazing. But Sam Darnold really is special. And I love how he didn't go run and celebrate the win, he went straight to the Texas players and shook their hands. Pure class

8 Dropped passes by USC Receivers and Questionable calls by Tee Martin at the goal line kept this game closer than it had to be.
Texas SOLD Everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink to STOP the run. Tee Martin kept running Carr and Jones up the middle.
When Martin did adjust and Allow Darnold to throw, USC's Receivers (except Burnett) kept dropping balls.
None bigger than the drop by Greene that lead to the pick 6.

4 First half time outs for USC, no call on PI's, no call on a facemask that caused a pick, no call on the entire team running on the field when USC already had a sideline warning, Sam was stopped for two seconds before the fumble but the refs never blew the whistle. If you think USCs defense did well you are wrong. Only part of the defense did good and that was the LBs and DL. The DBs need so much help! They don't know how to keep an eye on the ball which results in big plays! If the DBs keep playing like this SC won't last long!

As a UT fan I couldn't have asked for more from a freshman backup qb against the ranked 4th team and the defense played tremendous most of the game. With that being said the game should've been put away simple plays like stoping someone w 5 seconds left or choosing to go for it instead of a field goal.
