I like how you have been doing the wrap ups with little collected videos of each week or whenever you finish a book. It has been fun to see you in different clothes and different times and hear your thoughts on the books you read in the "real" time you finished them in one video. However, the little shorts idea sounds fun, too. I will gladly watch either way of talking about books.
I hope that all is going good as you guys are starting up a church, unpacking, and discovering a new place. I will continue to pray for you guys as you adjust and grow in your new home 🎉❤

Fun wrap up. Loved hearing the little snippet about Charlotte Mason. I homeschooled my girls and used the Charlotte Mason method. ❤

I work for World Vision! My favorite reads from May were Rascal by Sterling North (read aloud to my sons) and Ballet Shoes, which was my first Noel Streatfeild. I am praying for your family’s adjustment to your new town ❤

I have read Villette and thought it was very good.
Also you got me started on Dorothy Gilman. Thank you!
I've read 2 standalones, The Tightrope Walker and Caravan. So so good!!! Then I started Mrs. Pollifax. Love it!

Now i need the rest of the series and started vol 4 - 6 bind up edition of inuyasha which I know will be a prolonged read as its huge. I had the earl and the fairy for about thirteen years and i love it now so maybe life stages means a lot when reading

I wouldn't say Villette was overly boring.
It was in a box marked kitchen. 😂😂😂 I recently found a book just in a random box. I don't know why. It should have been with my TBR.

I'm hoping to read Lucy's Worseley's non-fiction book on Jane Austen next month!! I really want to read the Queen Victoria one too. I haven't read The Professor yet (it was the first novel she wrote I believe but didn't have success trying to publish it initially). Villette is so good! I agree that Shadows of Swanford Abbey was just okay. For me, I feel like it's more because of the ending, which wrapped up too nice and neat, and too easily as well.
I'm glad you enjoyed The Kiss of Deception, and I hope you like the second book too! It's personally my favorite in the series, but I feel like I'm in the minority on that.

For May, I had reread Inkheart by Cornelia Funke which still stands up well. My pastor has us read Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer in preparation for a series next year and I enjoyed it but his writing is strange: there are so few paragraphs. It would probably be better as an audio book. I also finally read Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson and Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. Now, I need to watch the movies for those.

I listened to audio mainly on our move across country the year I started my channel - this is feeling very familiar!
I tried to read the Professor in May and I was SO BORED! I DNFd it at about 35%.
I have been reading CJ Archer's Glass Library Mysteries and loving them. I had started to read Watchmaker's Daughter and couldn't get into it, but maybe I'll try again.
I so adore Pastor Keller's speaking, but have yet to really LOVE any of his books. Including Prodigal God. I'll listen to him all day long though.
