It's not dead, if it received more venom it will fall asleep for a certain period of time and eventually wakes up. Cobra has lost it's sight and it won't go too far, once Mongoose wakes up it will continue the killing and eat it.

If the snake bit the mongoose a few more times it would have dies, but because the mongoose was no longer a threat to the snake, it wouldn't have kept biting it. Unless of course if it was going to eat it.

Those little things are vicious. Colonizers brought them over to the Caribbean islands because of the snake "problem" they had. Today, there are no wild snakes in the islands because of the mongoose. Mongoose didn't lose. If you look closely the mongoose is either tied to the snake or something else. His left foot is tied with a brown string. You can see it when the mongoose is laying on his right side beside the snake. I don't know who is trying these animals together but whoever it is he's a coward pos

Find me ONE credible source proving that mongoses "take a nap" when fighting snakes. They're NOT fully immune to venom, and the damage that venom causes is NOT reversible.
Nope dear... mongoose can withstand to certain amount of venom but if the cobra bites repeatedly then sure he will leave this little creature lifeless.

I had always Thought Mongoose Wins every time...but once in awhile the Cobra wins!
Mongoose and the Honey Badger are the only animals that I know can take on a highly venomous serpent and survive. The Mongoose isn't dead but simply knocked unconscious. Both the Honey Badger and the Mongoose have a high resistance to venom. Of course, they can be knocked prone, but with a good nap, they'll wake up fine and ready to hunt once more.

They aren't immune and yes mongooses and honey badgers die all the time from venom. There's a video of a honey badger that died from bee stings. As long as it doesn't take to much venom then its alright.
