This episode you did nearly 3 years ago are places I have visited. ( In fact, a few other Arizona locations I've seen) The Goldfield location, I saw in November, 1998. Neat place. Got me a leather cowboy "floppy" hat back then. It didn't quite fit but was fun to wear from time to time. I've notice in the 2019 videos you got a better vehicle: Chevy "Colorado". Nice truck! Guess the "old KIA"finally needed to be traded in. My wife of almost 45 years likes your travels. Very clever "one liner jokes" from time to time. We actually travel very little over the years. I wish did more. I'm 70...still in very good health...so is my wife. Traveling like you do I think, would be a lot of fun. My hope's for the next few years: Get out and see the U.S.A. Plans are next year to replace the old 2004 Subaru Forester that is now almost at 130K miles and most likely get another of the same kind. Now...as of this date (12-2020) seeing many of your shows one thing that IS needed is a lot of new music. I wish we all could use anyone's music. Millions upon millions are there...even "royal free" which is generally good for video shows and the effects. But...laws will not allow it as we all know. Oh...the cameras you use...very good! To get better audio, maybe, a wireless lapel mike in your walk abouts? They, as you know, would eliminate a larger portion of the "wind noise". And...a great traveling companion that can "go the distance"... do many things in the travels like videoing the scenery...give you breaks in driving...cook up the good looking tasty meals you eat...and, have location facts about sights for you and the viewers. Finally...you might have been there in an earlier episode video of yours (at least, one of your state border sign photos show it) but, my birthtown - Indianapolis would be nice. Also ( and this is a neat place or two to see in the state of Kentucky) is " Shakertown" Pleasant Hill and a very small town where a good school friend of mine for over 55 years lives - Buckhorn. She and her husband are the Presbyterian ministers of the "Log Cabin" church there in Buckhorn. The travel to and from the only road directions is challenging but pretty in certain seasons. Well...safe and happy travels to you, Robert. You are a great American who loves this country!
Love visiting goldfield. Dutchman museum is very informative. Some say the goldfield mine is the lost Dutchman mine. Who knows,it is a mystery for the ages. 🍺
Great video. I felt like I was walking around with you. I liked that you left the tourist traps and toured the other area's of town. I do that too when I travel. I will take the less beaten path to get a real feel of the area. Please keep adding this reality to your videos.

I have numerous photos of Goldfield Ghost Town from high up on the Flatiron in the Superstition Mountains. It is a popular & strenuous hike up the Siphon Draw.
So Sorry we mist you Robert. We were on 18 and 19 April on the Lost Dutchman campground. Our third visist there. It is such a great environment. Now at home in The Netherlands we just saw this great video.
That was my first choice campground before I decided for Apache Junction. I wanted to be close to the city to take care of certain things. Thank you! I'm glad you liked the video.
I was here about 16 years ago. We liked it. We embarked on a 3hr desert Jeep tour here to real goldmines. Even one protected by Hells Angels or Outlaws. Watch out for the Jumping Cholla!

Haha...that vintage "Maison d' amour" called Bordello seems very expensive even for miners with the pockets full of gold stones. Real bordellos in the past used to be less sofisticated in small towns lost on deserts..but it is a really cool place to visit :)

I was just out in that area not too long ago. Unfortunately the hideout restaurant burned down a couple months back. They had the best steaks in Arizona too! Such a shame! Also if you're ever in the market for RVs the close by city Mesa, is basically RV heaven. The entire city is just wall to wall RV sales and equipment and places to park and live in! Buying my RV there. NO SALES TAX!
Interesting fact about stagecoaches. Passengers were disarmed before boarding and told that they were not allowed to talk about politics or religion. Unfortunately, on these long coach rides lasting for days, people's tempers would get short because of the uncomfortable conditions and disagreements on those two topics could deteriorate into passengers trying to kill each other.
Yeah, clear sunny skies and high 80s, a week earlier I was up in Winslow and Flagstaff. Weather was nice during the day but lowered to the high 30s low 40s at night. And yes, I did stand on the corner in Winslow.

LOL Oh by the way Mr. Robert I was watching this one on my tv in the family room and my husband ( who tele works some days ) came in on the bordello part and his feet screech to a halt on that line! I laughed and laughed.
Most KOAs are in that range or more. I haven't been able to find a hotel room that has pool, hot tub, laundry and is close to attractions for $50 in a very long time.

Where do these KOA places get off charging $50 a night! I can find a half way decent motel for that and screw the rv park crap.
