When you were looking at the planetarium, that little white dome you zoomed in on was the cover for one of their telescopes. That telescope was originally used to help find landing spots on the moon during the Apollo program. Inside the planetarium, which was built by a lot of the engineers and scientists from the Apollo program, including von Braun, the dome of the planetarium was a recycled part of a unused fuel tank from a rocket. Great video, and happy travels.

Hi Robert. The scenery is gorgeous. Love the mountains. Thank you for the thorough tour of the Space Center in Huntsville. It's very educational. Incidentally, when you do some cooking in Minitini I like how you play the "cooking music". Nice touch.

Another great video! Robert, as much as I’ve enjoyed watching your travels and learning about the places you visit since I discovered your channel, it’s your skill in videography and editing that really blows me away! Seeing what you do with the images you create has inspired me to learn more and practice more, and hopefully make my own channel better. I hope my own videos will be at least close to the quality of yours someday. Thank you so much for setting such a great example!

My sister and family live in Huntsville and her hubby used to work for NASA-He worked on the Hubble Telescope. You were within 4 minutes of their home when you camped at Monte Sano. I have been back there many times, but haven't been able to get back there lately. We haven't been to the Space and Rocket Center for at least 10+ years. A lot has been added.

I was driving home from work at Edwards Air Force Base, and to my utter suprise, saw the Shuttle Atlantis on her maiden journey from the assembly plant to Edwards (35 miles by truck). They removed her wheels, and bolted her to the back of an enormous truck. I pulled well off the road and watched her pass within two feet of me. I touched one of her wings. An amazing moment for me. I doubt they would let random passers-by get so close to a space craft these days. I, and everyone else who happened upon this were lucky. At an earlier time, I also saw the Enterprise piggy-backing on a 747.

Thanks for the awesome video! We have not made it to the Rocket Museum yet. It is on our list. I was unaware of those breweries and the pizza place, which are now on the list. We absolutely love Monte Sano. We took my Mom to that scenic overlook, which was one of the last places she saw before she passed. She loved the view and knew all about the flowers in the park. You may want to camp at Lake Guntersville State Park, which is about an hour from Monte Sano south on Rt. 431. There are deer everywhere in the campground at Lake Guntersville State Park. You may want to get a "packable down" jacket per my wife that will fold up into a small bag. There is also Noccalula Falls State Park in Gadsden, AL.

    Dear Robert,
I have watched your video and found it very enjoyable. I myself was supposed to study in University of Alabama in Huntsville and later on to work in the space and rocket research center situated there. But because of some twist of luck I even after getting admitted in UAH I had to remain working in my country in which I was born. Nowadays I don't like any space technology stuff or anything related to space. I am a very down to earth person and I like to see this beautiful world, not space. I like beautiful towns, cities, restaurants, hotels, bars, pubs, schools, colleges, universities and various gorgeous shops, shopping malls, recreational facilities and various tourism hotspots all over the world. Please show us such things which I have already mentioned.
May God bestow His Blessings on you.
    Thanking you,
    Sincerely yours
