- Simple restore of a 60 + years old vintage Mora knife.
The scout model, was for decades the first knife every boy scout would get.
This scout model, is one of the first models coming out with a plastic handle, in the same form of the wood handle.
This was made by the Frost company around 1950s to the 1960s.
This Morakniv restore, uses simple tools, sand paper, a small file, HD40 and a small pliers. Common tools on most houses.
Great job! 👍
Thanks 💪
This is the exact knife I received for my sixth birthday (July,1957). I have it to this day and it is still in top condition except the sheath is a little rough. I have knives I paid hundreds , and in some cases, thousands of dollars for.(I'm not sure I needed many of them), I almost always grab a Mora Robust HQ and stick it in my pocket. Large knives are great for big stuff but I rarely do anything requiring big blades. I absolutely love Mora knives !
Very cool history. Big knives are cool, small knives like the Mora are pratical ;

Nice job, but why did you file those edges off the top of the blade? It would have struck fire steel better if you left it
Hi up until the 1960s, the classic had false edges on the back. The laminated steel versions are not the best to get a spark from a firesteel because of the softer outside.
I have one,
its a great little knife
