I have several old classics I have restored. Great fun on a long Finnish winter evening. Currently working on a walnut handle for a laminated Mora #2 blade. The laminated carbon blades are the best in my experience.
Epoxy/glue has been used by the Mora companies for decades. For example, all the KJE classic lines from 1970s up to the early 2005 were glued. In another videos i showed how to pin down the tang; in this one, i chose the glue method, hoping that people get motivated to do their own restores and not get block by more difficult techniques like pinning

Did you have Sibelius’ Finlandia playing while you worked?
The laminated ones, specially the old ones where you can see the wavy line when they did the lamination by hammer, are also my favorite
Looks awesome! Cpl of weeks ago I found a old "Frosts" and restored it, too. Awesome knives!
That are awesome indeed ♥️
Great looking finished project! 👍

Outstanding work, excellent presentation. Bem haja!
Many many thanks 🙏
The handle removing technique is nice.
I feel like I can replicate it without much effort.
I seen the first time in a Korean(i think) knife sharpening/restore. This is how the guy remove the handles of the japanese style knives
Bela restauração! Parabéns!
Obrigado Maurício
You do such great work.
@@SlimJimLockpicking thank for your kind words 🙏
👌
Not a fancy one but a “honest” working knife ready for many decades of usage

Not fancy, but still a good one for sure.
Imagine getting all that traditional making skill and then just boshing all together with epoxy.
