Ciao Bello ! I’m living vicariously through you, I’m 70 fractured my femur skiing last year - no more down hill skiing for me going take up cross country ¥ love your videos !
Exactly!! Anytime in the mountains is a gift --- skiing is the bonus!! Great skiing video and what a perfect spot to overnight!! Six skiing days before November!!! Yi Ha.
I appreciate you taking one for the team out there in this early season to share/report conditions. It's nice to know I can be a liiiiiitle more patient before heading up to shred. Any day in the mountains is a good day though 💪
Yeah I have an ikon pass and live in SoCal so I was wondering how mammoth would look opening day. Probably look something like this so I can hold off a little longer
Loved the vid!! Me and my friends were the "squad" you mentioned at 8:30, didn't even realize it was you who flew past us. Formal apologies for laying around and being lazy!
Loved the drone shots coming up Berthoud Pass. So beautiful. As an avid Winter Park skier I will say early season is mehh in terms of terrain. Once the Jane side of the mountain opens it’s a lot more enjoyable. Would love to show you the zones if you make back out later this winter when more is open. Most runs off Challenger chair are a win, some way more than others though.
thanks zach! i was fortunate enough to experience the mary jane side for a day last year but that certainly isnt enough time. might make it back during the heart of the season to get a true taste of the resort.
@@LucasCatania17 I tried to schedule my Fridays free to go skiing while attending CSU in the late ‘70’s. The Jane (Mary Jane) was my favorite. I’d get to the Corona Lot early and be the first on the Challenger chair, then the last one off at the end of the day. It was a slooow double-chair lift back then and had looong lines on weekends. Tkt was $8. A lot of $ for me back then, but well worth it! ⛷ right to my car at day’s end. You have a great channel! BTW, your Pop rocks!
Just came across your Winter Park video and it brought back memories. WP was my husband’s local ski resort growing up and my brother in law taught skiing there. He insisted on giving me a lesson one time which was…interesting. Thanks for the memories, Lucas! PS: you need a non slip, absorbent, machine washable indoor mat for Luna.
The funnel and the "alley" is what we called the spot that forces skiers.onto that cat track,,.try escorting a group of 10 ski school kids down that area on a weekend or holiday..oh I still loved that job! 😎😎
Another beautiful resort. Outstanding filming! You have a gift of capturing the incredible beauty and essence of each unique resort and the surrounding mountains in which they occupy! I so enjoy your vids man! The Luna and Lucas express…..onward and upward brother!!
Hey Lucas, why don't you get a small area rug by the front. That way you can absorb as much water, snow, ice, and dirt. Try and get one of those washable area carpet. Just a thought 🤔.
A couple of years ago my brother and I were on a massive ski trip going from mountain to mountain on the Ikon pass, skied everywhere from Big Sky to Taos, and on that trip we got really lucky with a massive dump of snow right before we got to Winter Park, deepest snow of our whole trip, 3-4 feet of untouched snow in certain spots. It is to this day the deepest snow I've had the opporutnity to ski, being an east coaster you're lucky if you get 1-2 feet of fresh pow once in a blue moon. Might be heading out west again this winter, hope to see you out there!
Hey there Lucas, happy to see you skiing so early this season. I am looking forward to the slopes opening soon here at the JHMR! Wishing you an amazing ski season!
Go back to WP in February when you can go on the Panoramic Lift. You get access to the Cirix back bowls which are top tier or Pano area which starts above the tree line
