Thanks for saying so! Definitely will be doing a lot more solo videos, it’s nice to be free just to talk without bothering anyone on the intercom and stop to shoot whenever, hehe.
Always glad to hear from you and yes absolutely remember you and BBMoto going for all those test rides on your scooter lol! Sorry to hear about you two parting ways and I hope you both are doing well! All the best my man! Love from India
@@Ride_XP It was my first insight into RE gaining its now legendary foothold in the Philippines and it has been so cool to see the growth of the Himalayan brand alongside you....Your casual approach to vlogging has also encouraged me to begin my own journey here on UA-cam and I should hopefully have my videos on here soon!
Clients needing something from you while traveling is so relatable. Sorry to hear about you and bbmoto, ride safe always man. I think I myself need a long ride as well.
Just got my CFMoto 450MT and I also want to do solo adventures. I still need to build more confidence since this is my first big bike. Ride safe always and I hope I’ll see you on the road. 😊
Sama naman ako sa solo tour next time! Joke lang. Great video! This is an enjoyable format. Getting your thoughts on things while on the road makes for immersive listening.
Sabihan kita next time solo ako, after the ride! ;) Hahaha glad you like the format bro, it's also a much more sustainable one for me than the big travel vlogs or in depth reviews--those take weeks of free time to finish.
Brother, if you ever want to ride together, I’d love to collaborate or even just ride for fun. I just finished an incredible loop-from Cebu City to Northern Negros, down to Southern Negros, into Mindanao, along the entire northern coast of Mindanao, then up into Leyte, and finally back to Cebu City. And I rode it all solo.
Hey Chris-it’s been a longtime dream to explore Visayas and Mindanao on my bike! Kudos for doing all that solo, beats a lot of local big bike riders for sure. Please reach out to my Facebook or Instagram! Let’s chat.
this is very timely im about visit baguio solo on my little duke. im scared doing it as a newbie expressway user lol. sorry to hear about you and bbmoto. consider the dji mic mini. i think it will connect bluetooth to any new gen dji osmo action. pleasure meeting you at an event in centris. RS
Hey bro! Yes nice to meet you! Glad the video could be of service. You’ll be surprised that Baguio is one of the easiest rides, just take it easy on the hairpins going up. DJI Mic Mini definitely on my list, though since I do video professionally it probably makes more sense to get the full Mic 2.
I'm thinking about buying that bike. I saw you video about selling the old Himalayan 411. I personally have a Royal Enfield Classic 350 and I agree with you. Now, having all of that into account, I typically ride with my wife, what would you say about the performance of the 450 going steep hills and having a pillion? Do you think it will have a healthy performance delivery?
Must be hard to edit the audio just for it to be usable lol. I'm still finding a way to record without the screen flickering. ND16 seems to be the sweet spot at bright sunlight and ND8 on Cloudy.
Easy lang bro, set the shutter speed manually so any multiple of 1/50. Pero need ND8. Sweet spot in bright sunlight is ND8, 1/100 to 1/150. 1/50 too low for Action 3.
They're Doubletake Scrambler mirrors! I ordered mine directly from the website for my Interceptor a couple years ago. They have reverse thread mounting available compatible with all Himalayan models.
No, it's actually pretty easy once you're used to it. At your height and build it shouldn't be a problem, but not nearly as easy as the 400X. You have to decide if you're willing to sacrifice the 400X's lightness for the Himmy's versatility and comfort. You might also want to consider the Guerrilla 450, launched yesterday at a very competitive price.
@@Ride_XP I fear the guerrilla might be too low eh. I will literally look like a gorilla on it LOL. Plus the Brava Blue one might be out of stock agad and that's the only color I like. I am digging the hanle black himmy though!. I don't mind heft (I'm a powerlifter lol) so standing weight and pushing it around shouldn't be a problem.
@@Ride_XP Another concern of mine is parts and service. Bacoor is super far from me (Antipolo) and I know RE ph changed hands a couple of years ago so if you have any insight about living with your himmy, maintenance and parts-wise, it would be much appreciated!
Big difference. Old Himalayan feels like a trusty old farm bike, decent comfort, slow steering, doesn't want to be pushed. New Himalayan far better suspension, stiffer chassis so sharper in handling, can be pushed, feels like a modern ADV. Tradeoff is the old Himalayan is a lot less intimidating despite weighing the same!
What is the purpose of that windshield if it is so small? For aesthetic purpose only? Or maybe i'm looking on the wrong angle that's why it looks so small.
Camera definitely makes it look tiny! At my height (169cm/5’7”) it actually works pretty well, it shields my chest and the wind on my helmet wasn’t turbulent and not a bother at all. A far cry from doing this highway on the naked Scrambler 400X.
The SM650 is more relaxed and has longer gears so it feels at home on the highway. I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily better (I don’t like forward controls, I can’t stand up) but it’s so nice to ride on long straights. The big optional wind protection would definitely help too
Sad to hear you guys are not together, hope you move on and make lotts of more solo rides and love yourself. Thanks for the vid!

The Hot Cat expansion is fairly recent. The space they've expanded to used to be occupied by Vivistop Baguio.

Is this Hiamalyan 450 better for highway than the super meteor 650?

Isnt this the motorcycle that splits in half?
