One thing i noticed in almost all the cemetaries is how a surviving wife or husband would die many years later and then laid to rest with their loved one. Marriage was cherished and sacred to God and they loved till death.😊
. . . Of all your Cemetary visits, this has been the most intriguing, expansive, grand with unique monuments and varied. And I agree with you; the stone inscribed sentiments from the Victorian era are proof of how truly heartfelt, endearing and timelessly memorable their loved ones were to them during their lives, unto their deaths. Also, next to being in the heart of a lovely garden, so is there a special peace, still, somber and just as majestic and spiritual as that where souls lie resting. Thank you for this visit/tour which, as all of your cemetary visits, enrich, educate and allows us to travel into the now, and then. Light, Peace & Blessings to You, Daniel P. (East Coast, America)
Daniel thank you so much for the lovely words 🙏 I love what I do and love reading the names of people who are gone over 100 years so their names are spoken aloud again. God bless from Ireland 🇮🇪🙏
It's great that they are cleaning up the cemetery, but it will be a huge job! Hiking around there will give you a good cardio workout! Lol. Another good one GV.😊👍
@@GraveVisitations You’re welcome. My husband just passed away 2 weeks ago, and for some reason watching your videos is very comforting! So again thank you!!😊
Great video sorry didn’t watch it earlier, very interesting specially the cremation urns ,could be no relatives left to claim them. Anyway pleasent dreams take care from ballarat in Oz,,👋👋🙏🙏🇦🇺
The more I watch your videos of the older cemeteries, the more fond I become of the going back to Nature look. While manicured cemeteries are great for a while, I would prefer to go back to Nature and just be forgotten as it were. I like my alone time 🥰
I would rather have my love ones pay attention to me while I’m alive, not at my grave stone. Even in life now the younger generations seem to forget the older family members, never making time.
I disagree that the cemeteries are allowed to deteriorate to such an extent. Wildflowers but not trees destroying stones and crypts. These people wanted to be remembered. Not forgotten in a jungle. In Loving Memory, In remembrance etc. Earlier stones tell a story about the people. With what I've seen folks may as well be cremated and let the wind take them away and fertilize a larger area. No stone, nothing. Just forgotten. Personally, I would love to visit my great grandparents but I am in the US and they are in Germany. At least I could see a picture through the grave sites online. I did hear there are volunteers that are working on this cemetery.
I'm so sorry that I keep missing your live/catchup videos, my notifications will not work on UA-cam. I don't understand why. I know that you get tired of hearing the notification complaints with UA-cam, I don't know what can be done about that. I'm not asking you to complain or reach out to UA-cam about notifications. I guess as a creator this is something that you will just have to tolerate as far as missed live views.
Absolutely amazing graveyard, stunning headstones, thank you GV, for taking us with you love looking at old graves, God bless from Northern Ireland 🇮🇪 🙏🌹
Beautiful place it’s fascinating to think all these people where here before us and there beautiful headstones that give us an insight into who they were the old graves with there beautiful monuments lovely video
Hi GV what a beautiful cemetery loads of history l love the Angels lovely video thanks so much for sharing this video and thank for sharing all off the heeding headstones as well take care see you on the next one 👍
A Steam Roundabout is a Carousel. The Galloping Horses were the up/down wooden carousel horses. Very surprising that they were able to move it from place to place. Must have been so fun to ride........I LOVE Carousels
Beautiful cemetery, full of so much history. I love to see them clearing the area so we can safely go in to view the beautiful grave markers. It is lovely to see all the markers that were hidden earlier

I love this place. I often think of all the events those, laid to rest have missed. Some good, some bad. And those that didnt even see WW1...All lay there, peaceful away from the stress of life. ❤
22:16 I think its a stylized version of a lamb looking to heaven. I can see it's hooves a little, and older versions of lambs often have a longer tail.
We have a beautiful old cemetery, I have always said I would have loved to have my wedding there ❤️ Back then people thought I was nuts. I think their should be happy memories there too.

the "urns" near the cremator are for flowers, they are there as they were stolen en mass years ago,one of them was from my family grave, they were left there as the police returned them after being found in a so called antiques shop in clifton after they raided it,you missed the history of the weston tomb, back in the late 80's when the previous "owner" was still there it was broken into and the skulls were stolen, the tomb was resealed but the skulls were never found, and the previous owner pocketed most the money the family gave for repairs
I must say that it is a disgrace that a lot of the graves are overgrown, one wonders why they are not cleaned up, after all there are poepole buried here, this seems to be the case in a lot of larger cemataries. Why does the Local Council not step in and help??
@@GraveVisitations there are loads of decent, older graveyards around Somerset/Bristol. Can’t remember where it is. But there’s one grave for a. Sl. Ave, around 1700s. X hello from zummerzet!

Beautiful place, GV. Thanks for climbing through the overgrowth at some points to show us the more hidden and forgotten headstones.

Hi thank you for the information. We are not from the area and didn't know much about these stories. It's terrible people would do such a thing 💔
Cool place grass kept down not 5 feet tall. Chapel if you took the bell tower off
reminds me of a old time bank.

Ive found another video of yours
Some wonderful statues
Stunning Beauty
Wot a banging cemetery so beautiful

Awesome place GV, Shame that they haven't cleaned up the undergrowth to clear up those hidden gravestones.
I'm sure they will in time. Work has already gotten underway

I’ve always wondered if doing a charcoal rubbing on the stones where the carving has worn away, would the words show up on the paper?
I think it would definitely
Also if you get the chance. Arnos vale hotel is quite haunted.
Just passed through Jessica unfortunately. If I get here again definitely will look. Hi from Ireland

I'm not sure what one your talking about

Could be just an old grave or monument
Hi GV
I meet my husband at a funeral He was dying to meet me 30 years ago
❤️
@22:13 it's the lamb of God
I think that was a lamb, not a greyhound.
I real like your video that.. but if you can try to find it old burial ground look for the 17th century yea
I have done many videos of 1700's graves on my channel
WHY MUSIC??!!!
Because I like music
@@GraveVisitations I liked it , too ❤️
Music is good, but way too loud
