    This is exactly the situation I'm going to be in. I was not expecting the internet to be able to answer this very specific question, so thank you for the help. :)

    Thank you so much for this Fran. I'm flying an overnight flight from Tampa to Denver that gets to Denver at about midnight and I have to wait 7 hours to pick up my rental car. I was always wondering if it was a good place to sleep and thanks to you I found it.!

    i have a killer deal for $389 toronto to london - round trip, but with a 23 hour layover in lisbon portugal
    i plan to spend all day in the city touring and then sleep at the airport at night - hopefully the cops and security wont bother me.

    I’ll be doing this soon. Is their security full of any jerks that may tell you not to sleep there in general or is it pretty relaxed ?

    • @flyingwithfran6697
      @flyingwithfran6697  3 роки тому +2

      It’s pretty relaxed just like most airports in the US. They don’t really care. Most that’s happened to me at smaller airports, where I was the only one sleeping there, was a security guy just asking me if I was ok. But that’s unlikely to happen at a bigger airport like DEN and especially in an area that’s designated for people to rest/sleep.

    Any risk that people will steal your things, or can it be watched by airport staff?

    • @PokoTraveler
      @PokoTraveler 2 роки тому +1

      I think you always run the risk of that. When I slept in the Denver airport overnight, I put my backpack on me or next to me with my arm wrapped around the strap. Obviously that's not as easy to do with big luggage, but maybe you could tie a shirt or something around the handle and grab the other end while resting.

    Does it cost money to sleep on those lounges?

    • @flyingwithfran6697
      @flyingwithfran6697  3 роки тому +3

      Nope! Im airports that have spots like this, it’s always free. You only have to pay if you’re entering an airline lounge such as AA Admirals Club etc

      @@flyingwithfran6697 thank you for the info! I have an 8hr layover there coming up and trying to figure out my options. The AA membership pass looks like it’s $60 for a single use vs. $550 for the yearly membership 😬😬😬
      I’ll take the comfy free chairs instead lol

    you have to re clear security ? why is that ?

    • @flyingwithfran6697
      @flyingwithfran6697  2 роки тому +2

      I didn't have to. I had a long layover and chose to leave the secure area to explore landside, which is where a lot of interesting stuff about this airport is located (I have a video of that too), and so when it was time for my next flight I had to re-clear security :)
