I’ve gone to bat for a lot of Disney films over the last few years but you know this film is an underwhelming letdown for a 100th anniversary when Once Upon a Studio was the real masterpiece all along.
Magnifico didn’t convince people to join the kingdom by giving up their wish. They get to live in a peaceful rent free kingdom and people are lucky enough to have a possibility of their wishes granted. He’s the hero, Ahsha is the true villain
But he’s only choosing the wishes that he thinks will benefit him. He doesn’t truly care about them, and he’s taking away a part of who they are, is all of that really worth it?
@@SuperMoviemaster21 he’s choosing the wishes that feel the most self and will benefit it do nothing negative to affect the kingdom so yes it is very much worth it to add onto living in a peaceful rent free kingdom
@@streetgamer3452 but he’s not, because he’s not granting the grandfather’s wish which will do no harm to the kingdom, if anything will only bring more inspiration to the kingdom. There’s also many others that we’ve seen during the movie, and he’s even admitted in the scene where he says “because I’m handsome“ that he’s more concerned and for them self and not truly concerned about others, how can you not see that?
@@SuperMoviemaster21 They literally choose to give him their wishes knowing they might not be granted. He's not forcing them to do anything and he could choose to not grant any wishes and do whatever he wanted, but instead he's helping them.
@@yourshoulderdevil5229 But he’s not truly helping them, he’s only helping himself overall and not truly being considerate. He’s manipulated and conditioned people into giving them their wishes even though like you said it is their choice, but you get what I mean that it’s become Automatic by default for them to do that, which is what Asha is trying to prove with her overall arc
this is a great review and the thumbnail made me click, i enjoy content like this and i think you did a good job. if i had one critique it would be to include more footage to illustrate what you’re talking about for the visual learners. i’ll watch more from you in the future :)
Honestly while this isn't as bad as Strange World from last year. (trust me on that) Is not a bad film is it the greatest Disney film of all time absolutely not but its ok, just an ok film. And honestly with everything that happened in Hollywood this year I needed a desent film at the very least.🧸🐻

At least the animation was good in Strange World even though the story was lacking
Great review, definitely a really disappointing film for Disneys 100th anniversary
At this point if this keeps up Disney won’t make it to 101 years
I have no plans to see the movie however it comes across as a copy and paste of Coco and Encanto
The last couple years of Disney haven’t been so great… I would go as far to say Disney is kinda terrible 😣
I heard nothing about this movie until the moment it arrived, and immediately how bland it apparently was.
