You could go on tour with RM as a comedian ;) "It has been in beta since the release of RM1" - there are so many funny notes you have about the drawbacks of its software.

Thank you for the nice video, i tried "live view" on my remarkable 2, ufortunately i noticed two issues that i think i should report: 1. the eraser doesen't work (you can erase on the tablet but it won't get erased on the desktop app). 2. you can only show one page: if you add another blank page on the tablet during the presentation it won't be seen on the desktop app. Am i the only one with these problems? Can anyone confirm the issues i found? Also, as of today the lag you showed (displacement of the template on the desktop app) isn't fixed. I might consider these issues if you are willing to buy a tablet to share presentations.

I believe that it has to do with the fact that they will be disabling the Live View functionality now when the update 2.9 comes out and offers the new View Share, or something like that.
I'm having the same issue with my remarkable 2. I'm not able to pair the tablet to my PC because I don't get the invitation to connect on my PC. I hope the issue is resolved soon.

What is amazing is the apparent silence from the company ReMarkable to all the constructive comments you can find in these forums... Except if I am wrong, it does not seem that they communicate much with the UA-camr testers we all know and like (MorningCoach, My Deep Guide,...). I have not heard of any improvements between the pre-testing units and the production ones... I have not heard of any software improvement plan to be launched very soon solving many of the points raised... I am eager to receive my unit (batch 8...) and use it. I hope the quality of the experience will overcome the frustration of the absence of some features (split-screen, connectivity with Dropbox, the apparent slower speed than RM1, no OCR recognition for an efficient search, low-performance software...).
I am wondering: for all rm content or user manual? We have to come her? It seems you did more for community at this moment 😅 For somehow my live suck a bit? ... for somehow it dont work well. I dont see any notification about accepting live stream ... :/ I have to figurate it first

Technically yes, but I have found that the connection is, for some strange reason, a lot worse and barely usable when in landscape mode. I have no idea why, I just tried it for the first time yesterday, and simply couldn't get it to work, while portrait on the same document worked just fine... Really strange.
I would love for it to be a hard wired connection. Unfortunately over wifi is a really useless feature. At least the whole time I've owned the Rm1 it has barely worked. Additionally, during live view it disables the erase section,undo, redo, and the copy/select features :-/
To answer my own question: writing over PDFs works from the most recent Windows desktop app. But I have an unsupported Linux build of the desktop app from remarkablewiki, and it does not work on it for me. Sharing of writing over sheets works fine, but when the background is a PDF, all I get on Linux is a poor PDF viewer. I guess I'll install Wine.

I take notes every single work day and I need to look them up every once in a while and I cannott just swipe page by page. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately no, that's one of the reasons why I prefer the Note Air, since I can do a word search in notes. On remarkable you could try to create a daily notebook and include the date in the name as well. That can maybe help a tiny bit when searching for a specific part. Sorry I couldn't help more, but it's a big limitation of the platform.

Hi! Quick question, can this be done backwards? I.e. using your remarkable 2 as a tablet for controlling a desktop PC via remote desktop or other arrangement? Basically I'm wondering if I can use the tablet as a monitor and the pen as a mouse.
I never tried before, but I did just now, and it does display the notebook in a landscape format, but weirdly, live view connection in landscape mode seems to be close to impossible to establish. When I flip back to portrait and attempt again, it works normally. Now this could be a very strange coincidence, or a bug, at this point I'm not sure, since it's the first time I tried it and experienced it.

I don't know, you should ask them. AFAIK, they never mentioned it, and the state of their mobile app is by far the worst of their entire ecosystem, with the exception of the USB Over IP Interface, so I wouldn't count on it.
Hi! I didn't see you try to erase anything on your notebook while you were sharing... does that work? I'm asking because on my rM1, I can erase things on the device but it doesn't update the desktop view!
Thanx The problem is that: 1) need wifi connection 2) you need to log to your account 3) you need to install an app in the pc you are sharing the screen. Ok, I'm going with my RM2 to the client office and I want to share a liitle schemme in their projector/tv. 1 and even 2 I can understand, but 3...you need to go with your laptop that has the soft installed to share your screen. Why not use a web page? Is nice but again I think that is not practical in the real world
Well, I guess pretty much anybody who does presentations at the client's office will already take their own laptop there as it is, so it shouldn't be a problem to hook up your laptop to their projector/TV. Regarding the requirement I guess it's necessary, because the Desktop App probably opens a server for the live view connections from the reMarkable and I don't know if that could be done via browser, unless of course they'd host the service on their servers but that would probably slow the whole process even more.

Unlike reMarkable which has a limited-purpose software, Onyx Boox tablets use Android OS, which gives you the flexibility of a smartphone.
Live view request does not show up on the desktop for me. The writing updates only after several minutes.

It will, it's an amazing experience to use the device, but the frustration will also stay.

Wait for your device to get the 2.9 update, since they've remade that whole functionality and Live View is no more.
Cloud connection is awful during online classes; especially when you run Zoom session. Is it possible hard connection to computer for live view?

Hi. a question - does live view work when you are using a pdf file and writing in it? I can't seem to make it work...
As i mentioned in the video, PDF is technically showing up and working sometimes, but it's incredibly unreliable and slow, so it's basically unusable.
Great videos, question: how to factory reset the reMarkable? When i try doing it it seems to be "syncing" forever. Any Advice?
If you have a synchronization issue, I would first try and do the "Check Sync" option, and then reset it.

When the live view works, for me erasing worked, however, it can be quite unstable, depending on the wifi network used.

I have just tried the live view and I had problems with the ereaser with the first try. But when I reconnected and tried again, it was working fine.
Just received mine tonight, Liveview will either not connect at all or lag minutes if it connects, am i the only one experiencing lag like this?

As always, rM2 is a digital beta version of paper, that's it. I'am still not shure if it is the right way to go for me.
